Shay watched the stranger make his way towards her-- her conclusion about him was entirely correct, and him merely stating it so brought a smirk to her lips. As he got closer and in ear shot, she merely brought up her right leg, placing it over her knee-- never acknowledging his presence, until he spoke. Shay didn’t look up at him, and even though shadows cascaded her face by her cloak, you still couldn’t see her female resemblance. Yet she figured this fellow already knew she was one, so she kicked the opposite chair to him, instead of replying-- or even agreeing that she was a hunter.

He just nodded as he stopped the chair with a movement with dead eye precision and speed needed for rapid arrow shooting. He sat down and for a moment just looking at her. There was no threat here and no hostility. Hunters had their own way to speak even if David could sometimes be more direct then others. "The roads of Drelax forest are becoming more quiet for each day that passes." David had felt a enemy presence lurking around Drelax

Shay was impressed by the fellows lightness of foot, and quickness. Yet his abilities are similar or even less vary than hers-- either way, she had to hand it to him for being on his toes around her, or simply towards anyone at least. As he sat down, Shay eyed him casually and noted his demeanor and clothing as he spoke. In return, Shay merely drank lusciously from her hefty pint, scoffing at how his news was rather old news to her-- yet she nodded her thanks, knowing full well something was amidst. Well in, or at least around those parts anyways-- Shay always had a feel for things, and she knew trouble was in store. She just wondered when s**t was most definitely, going to hit the fan for them all. Whichever out come came her way, she was fully ready to take on the events. So it didn’t really bother her, it just merely gave her something to look forwards to.

There was no more to be said for now. David had marked all of Shays actions, expressions and responses. It was clear that she was a hunter and he had announced who he was to Shay. Now he would enjoy the silent company of a fellow hunter as he gently drank his ale. There was one thing he liked and disliked with female hunters. When they where very attractive they where twice as deadly, yet the fact he disliked it he never showed since he liked it more.

Shay never liked showing her face to anyone-- the more people knew what she looked like, the easier it was to point her out in a crowded room-- if you know what I mean. But Shay felt she should at least make an effort to the man in front of her, and-- if she would be civil, at least be nice to him since they were both hunters and maybe, introduce herself to him too. Shay casually, yet very delicately it seemed like-- took off her hooded cloak, tossing it on the back of her chair with a sigh. Her dark brunette hair shined in the low lit lighting, her piercing gaze of silvery moonlit grey eyes brought unknown life, an expansion of wonders and feelings within them. Glistening and glowing in the low lighting, and her beautiful contours and facial appearance is one many woman envied. It was that, that always had her hiding it mostly because of the attention she drew in with it. She looked over at him and exhaled heavily with her hand stretched out towards him with a light smile, "Shay."

David took the hand of Shay and shook it as he would have to any other hunter. In the forest or any place where humans don't live gender nor race mattered since if you took the wrong turn or took a bad choice it mostly ended up with death and so David greeted any person who could face the same peril with the same respect. He knew many saw them as assassins, cowards and thief's but those often died in the very battle they fought. "David." He said and released his hold on Shay. He drank some more of his water and took a bite of his meat. He didn't know how to continue after all he talked best towards the wind or trees on his travels. Yet the beauty of Shay was not the reason, he had guessed already since he saw though things normal people didn't even if she was far more attractive then he been able to tell.

Shay felt a great deal of respect for David. Not only did he shake her hand like a male would do another out of respect, but he also knew what hunters go through, and he looked like he’s come a far way. Shay found herself wondering were he was from and all sorts of other questions. Yet she kept them to herself and scooped up some food. The taste was fowl and even though it was, she still needed nutrients from it so she made do with it’s horrid taste by gulping down ale. She knew she must have made a face, but she made no attempt to soften anything, or to cut off the awkward silence between them.
Shay looked over at David and took in his facial appearance. He was a very muscular, yet handsome man-- even with the markings on his body. One of which she noticed was a scar over his left eye and a burn mark on the right side of his neck. She wondered how he got them, yet she would never care to ask. Old memories brought up the bad memories, and she didn’t need either of them. So she merely drank more ale and tried her best in downing as much food as she could. But the tricky part would be in keeping it that way.

David could feel her eyes upon him and he knew where they stayed the longest. Many soldiers had face scars but the branded square he knew took hold an eye for a second. He knew that no one wanted to be rude when they looked and he couldn't blame her either, for even he had taken in her face. "If you wish to know, ask and I'll answer as good as I can. Even if it is against our nature." There came a small smile as he finished speaking. He could be quite social for a hunter when there was no threats and he felt none here.

Stunned by his abruptness and words, Shay merely smiled and waved her hand in a formal, yet delicate no. Shay was no fool, she knew if you began to ask questions-- they began to ask as well, and she had a past she didn’t need remembering of. “No-- it’s ok David. I don‘t wanna pry.” She softly spoke, and then she got a glimpse of his smile and she could help but smile back at him.
“What the hell are you doing-- your acting like a fool, and totally out of character… snap out of it Shay! Now!!!” She thought forcefully, and in annoyance with herself-- especially when she had to admit that David, actually got under her skin, and in a good way. Shay made a mental note to yell at herself later.

David just smiled towards her. Her expression was mixed that was shore and this was becoming more and more friendly form his point of view so he couldn't really help himself to continue now. Even if it could be best to perhaps move into a nature they both felt at home and the ears did not understand your words. "It's not really to pry if I let you in? At least I don't think so. Yet if you feel that this is not a delicate place we could always move outside." Her smile was a reminder of her beauty and David wondered for a moment how she could stay like that in this world with this job. He doubted not her skill as he doubted not on her beauty.

Shay couldn’t believe what he said, it almost sound like he wanted her to pry. It both confused her and intrigued her immensely. She grinned and her right eye brow rose in interest. “Alright David, but you asked for it.” she paused only to get closer and then looked around. When the coast was clear, she spoke, “Are you really a guy? I can’t really tell with all those clothes.” Shay teasingly said. She couldn’t help it, he looked so seriously and she wanted to hear him laugh or at least see that smile once again. But she quickly smiled and laughed, “I’m just kidding David, but on more serious terms. How’d you get the scars?” She leaned back against her chair and rose her leg up, placing it on the other-- In a casually guy stance, which reveled a dagger attached to her boot. She grabbed her pint and took a quick swig before he spoke, and rested the cup on her leg.

The joke from Shay was quite funny since it was obviously irony about their fashion style. David placed his right index finger over the eye scar. "I was as a young boy a thief and this was my first warning. I only got arrested once" Then his finger turned to his neck and as he touched the skin over the burn the pain came to him. "Have you ever seen a murderer? I was having a band of thives with some boys and the real gang took me in. They branded me as a murderer. I was doomed to the night and to steal my living. I was taken in by an old hunter and blacksmith. He created this final touch. An act I can never repay but revenge." Only at his final word Davids smile became a bit thinner but only for a second. Where his hate to all demons arose. Yet apart form that his voice the never changed tone a bit. Just as warm and friendly as before the question.

As David spoke of thievery, Shay remember the dark times in her life when she had to do the same as well. She sighed and wondered how he managed to live through it all. Shay was startled out of her thoughts by his question, “I’ve seen my far share of them…” she paused remember her parents bloody room, and mangled remains left by the demon who killed them. “Not to mention the ramifications that lead, and were effected afterwards.” she silently said, drifting her gaze towards the shadows in the bar. Shay leaned over, not thinking of what she was doing-- she put her hand in his and squeezed. She looked at him and smiled, giving him comfort from the memories or just bad times he was reliving within.

David smiled back to her hand hold her hand as well. There wasn't much else to do. This was time of dark deeds and heroic battles. There was a war and the sad stories came from each hart and if she could comfort him then David could at least do the same. Yet an urge to go hunting built up within him. The reason that every one did this. The reason all humans where together. It all come from the invasion of demons. To fight this war solemnly on revenge was to selfish and ignorant. Humanity was in war and he and Shay played their role. David looked down at his plate. The food was gone by that he was done. He looked up to Shay with his smile. "Let's head out and do what we do best?"

Shay felt his hand encircle hers and squeezed hers right back. She fluttered her eyes upwards to him and she smiled sweetly. Shay noticed his plate was empty, and hers was not. Yet when he made the comment of leaving, she was immensely grateful and beamed a radiant smile up at him. "I was just wondering, when you would say that." Shay downed her ale and pushed her plate aside. "Where too then?"
