More like 10% bro. Start slowly. Don't go fast.

Exactly. Build it up slowly. It takes a lot of time, but it is all worth it. You just have to stick to it.
But when you are done with the weight workout. practice with out weights at full speed on a bunching bag, kicking bag, wave master, pillow, or something like that for a bit longer than you did with weights. This will help to build your speed up quicker and better.
Then do push ups. Trust me.

Ill have to see if I can work it into my current routine. I definitely want to try it!
I basically only have time for thirty minutes a day with my current schedule, aside from days off of course.

Slightly off the topic of stronger punches, but I used to train at a place where we would wear a 25lb weighted vest for sparring to build up endurance. God it was hard but when that thing came off it felt like you could fly.

On punching ...
Words from someone who have left the River Lakes and lost most of his combat skills due to inactivity ...
=> Good Root. ( You can punch well only if you can stand well. ) => Hips. ( Rotation generates force. ) => Relax your arm, and maybe tense only on the point of impact. ( Tense muscles hold back your force. ) => Use Intent. ( Zanshin or whatever. At least an inch into the target. )

hips, rotating is important, punching through the opponent. :3
but i do not agree with the legs being straight, or locked out, to much strain on knees+ when legs get kicked having them straight is dangerous
something about punching sand box for conditioning?
