Thank you Lady Kaarii ^^
I've already begun browsing around for possibly artist guilds to team up with, the first one that caught my eye was Gaia Artists' Guild. By the looks of it, they're also working on getting activity up, like we are (though, as it is currently, our own guild is more active than theirs, if that puts things into a bit of perspective). With that in mind, we can approach them about the guild sisterhood/brotherhood/whatever and help each other in bringing promotion up for both of our guilds. Though, preferably, we should bring up our own activity a bit, so that they'd go for the partnership.

That would be a good start. Will have to get in touch with the guild captain.
*realizes that Chibi is the guild captain here and thus has to make contact with the other captain* XD

I'll gladly make contact with other captains if you'd like XD
I found another guild that shows higher promise: The Elite Artists Guild. It seems pretty new (which I think is a good thing) so they still have bunches of stuff available for them to do. It's much more active than the other one (this guild is still alive), and since they're a relatively new guild I think they would very much go for the partnership.
Super-Edit: And, I've been meaning to mention another thought of mine. I think we ought to go about contacting our listed Betas/Gammas (and maybe even all of our other members) and ask them if they are still interested in betaing/gammaing/being generally active in this guild as a whole. If they say yes, encourage them to come around and maybe pick out a possible gamma/beta for them to help/to help them. That way we work on bringing back activity with those who've already been involved somehow.
Maybe threaten to remove their names from the beta/gamma list due to inactivity if they don't care to be active anymore. (Or even take them out of the guild if they continue to be inactive -- can you do that?)

Nah. That's okay. I should take more responsibility. It's just it will have to wait until the weekend or Friday when I have more time and am not too fried out from work. XD But yush, I will be contacting them both to see whether or not they would agree to the partnership thing. It will be great if we can get both.
We did that once last year.

You've done the whole "PM everybody who ever came here" thing before? How did that work out at the time?

Yes, and we receive a few responses. That's why a lot of names were taken off the active lists.
It wasn't a good response we were looking for.

>.< D'you think we should go about doing that again? It might bring some old users back.
But we need to figure out another way to get the word out about us. In the past, we kind of relied on word of mouth, which worked nicely for a while. Until people stopped talking about coming here for gamma/beta needs. >_> I think that corresponded with the death of the actual Beta thread in the Writers forum (which I recently discovered was moved to the Guilds forum).
Have you contacted the other guild owners yet? No rush or anything, just wondering.
And, methinks you should take one of the banners from the old thread and put it on the home page. It'll be a bit more attractive than just text.

I've been meaning to do that, but with prepping for Anime Expo and friends coming over, I haven't had much time or I've forgotten about it. Sorry! Things should get back to normal a week form this weekend.

Maybe if you put up "prompts of the week" or something, and have people come in and each write a short story. Or you can do a chain-story, where you start off the "story" with one word and people just keep adding to it by inputting words of their own.

I apologize, due to a death in the family, I haven't been particularly able to log in lately.
That's a pretty good idea, Kaze, and seems like fun. Definitely would promote activity once we get a few more people in here.

It's alright... it is a loss of a family member, after all. 3nodding
I think we need to find a way to make the new members more active (not that I've been very active myself--but I would like to be). Perhaps you might want to take a gander at other guilds and see what they do to make their members active.
::EDIT:: Oh, you might want to consider advertising a bit. I'll put this guild up in my threads so people can take a look. I'd put it in my signature, but I'm currently questing so my quest thread and my art shop are in the way.

Sorry, I've been distracted with another website, and it looks like I may not have that much time to spend on the guild. I am volunteering for my local writer's group.
