well because of an argument/my own stupidity + emotional anger, I'm left with a part of my right hand (my writing hand ironically) broken and now in a cast for 4-6 weeks...*sigh*

I got into an argument with my oldest brother over many topics that were always touch and go, well long story short I was pretty much angry and I cant easily turn them on/off very well, but my brother could so when the "first" argument was done he comes inside all happy and like feeding more wood to the fire he took some jabs at me still. Me being angry I started shouting back and because the communication works so well in the house i got extremely pissed off because he kept on cutting in very time I tried to speak, so i did the last thing i thought i could do, I got in his face and yelled/pushed him, then at the end I decided to punch the wall hard instead of punching his face. That punch put me in a four hour waiting period at the hospital tonight.
I know i shouldn't get too emotional over things, but in my family I cant get a damn word in and it pisses me off, everyone expects me to listen but never speak. I don't blame him completely for what happened, but if he just let me finish a damn sentence I wouldn't of gone in his face and then punch the wall. Even after when i told him that i would speak to our folks he cut in on me again and went off on a rant of how I wiil make him take all the blame etc, etc...
Basically what happened to me tonight cannot be pointed toward just one person, I take responsibility for what I did and how stupid I acted in that moment.

In the top five list of stupid things men do because they fail at emotional expression: Punching walls.
You all should know better by now that the wall ALWAYS wins. The wall holds up your house, I doubt you are hardly too much of a threat to it.

lol Well i could of broken my hand by punching his face, but I went the other way instead, even though i broke my hand in that one spot, I think i picked the better choice. Since he knew I wasn't good at controlling my emotions he should of done the better part and shut up, then I would of calmed down and not punched a hole in the wall. Recently he asked me what the doctor said, I told them as then he told me "I hoped you learned your lesson." Oh i did, but did he learn his? After all that arguing back and forth I know he didn't listen to a damn word I said, so I don't think he did.
The doc says that in the worse case scenario they would have to put pins in it, but I don't think they will have too.

And yet you could have walked away and gone and beat up your bed or something with less resistance than the ever winning wall.
As someone who works at a place where they put those pins in places, believe me that's the last thing you would want. It's not a pretty sight and it's a difficult six weeks with those things sticking out of you to bonk on everything.

My dad jumped off the back of a pickup truck when I was but a wee lassie. Ended up needing screws in his ankle. The x-ray is enough to make you sick.

I know Frac, but if there was a way which I could show you guys what happened then maybe I can tell it better. But what happened has happened, and I gotta deal with it for the next few weeks.
trust me, the last thing i want to have is those damn pins in me.

Yeah well, pop wasn't exactly thinking straight way back then. He'll tell you it was about the stupidest thing he's ever done besides ice fishing.

Men all just dive in before thinking.
What have we learned? Ignore people. My brother was being obnoxious as anything today, my god I wanted to stab him with my fork. I've learned to tune him out.

actually, I have punched the walls in my home...and left dents in them without so much as spraining my wrist. threw a pen at my brother so hard it embedded in the wall. been chased back to my room by my brother wielding a butcher knife (which has marks in teh door where he stabbed it in frustration) almost killed him with a triangle choke...and he fractured my cheek bone and shoved it into my sinus cavity with a punch in the face.

I do my best to keep stable with my older brother, but with the way he is plus the fact I can never get a damn word said at all to anyone in my family just pisses me off; I need to get the hell out of here.
