Quote towers, quotes which have one or multiple quotes in them, can stretch a page and make it almost painful to read the thread. For this reason, you may have no more than three quotes in a quote tower, meaning the outer most quote box can only have two quote boxes inside of it. However, in a post you may have as many quotes as you need as long as they are quoted in such a way as they don't build up and cause the page to stretch. 3nodding

Meh, I doubt I'll do it all the same. It'd be fun, I guess, but meh. No one'll bother reading it past a simple skim, except maybe KB or Ina or maybe Cole. So the bulk of the work'll be lost an' all that effort for nothin'. Is that supposed to be a shot at my lack of a life?

So the bulk of the work'll be lost an' all that effort for nothin'. So long as you don't type it with the bloody accent and the shortened words, I'll read it in its entirety.

Only blue boxes are quote boxes. The black line surrounds the post, which is not a quote and thus not really suited to be called a quote box. The rule means the outermost blue quote box is only allowed to have two quotes in it, and thus having no more than three quotes in the entire tower. The rule even specifies that it's talking about quotes that stretch the page after being quoted too many times. Quote boxes are only the quotes themselves, which seems to be the whole point of misunderstanding here.
