Geo looked from behind a large easel to see Ever had arrived in the classroom. He smiled at her kindly and waved to her from where he was.

"Hello there!" the 29-year-old newbie professor called to her as he smiled even more brightly.

"Welcome to my art class!" he continued as he looked back at his easel and continued to work on what he was doing.

Lin scowled at the man in front of her, who still had yet to give her his name. Her eyes were beginning to light up with fury. "With all due respect, sir, I would appreciate it if you would not say that Headmistress Krause's decision was stupid. Simply because she has chosen to keep you here does not mean her decision is stupid. In fact, I would think you would be thankful for Headmistress Krause providing you with room and board, and at no charge I am assuming, as well."

He cringed slightly. He didn't really like being called sir, it made him feel much older than he ever wanted to admit to being. He was probably over a century this girl's senior, but he didn't care. He only looked to be about twenty-five. "Ah yes, I forgot to give you my name, how could I forget such a thing? My name is Nikolaus Brandt, but please just call me Nik." Nikolaus was the name he used back as only the yang half of his soul, so he'd prefer to not hear that name from someone else's lips.

Miss Yin had a very high opinion of ol' Krause didn't she? Very well then, he wouldn't step on her toes about it. Just because she allowed him to stay doesn't mean he should appreciate it. His lifestyle back in town was a thousand times better, despite costing money to keep himself up. He really worried that all his wares were rotting down, and that whenever he got back Suki, Eiji, and probably his club band were going to kill him. He'd rather them kill him than be stuck here. Ah well.

"I suppose it isn't, I guess you could say it's an overly overcautious decision then. I've no ties to this school and no purpose here. If it's to protect me, then she really shouldn't worry. I can take care of myself. If that is her intentions, than I do appreciate the thought. But I would just rather be home with the people I love who I've now lost all contact with. Do you see my predicament Miss?" He honestly wasn't sure if she did, her eyes were too glazes over with praise for the Headmistress to listen to anything a guy like him would say. Unless she decides to surprise him.

Dymetri grinned at her. "I don't think another teaching job would be right for me. Maybe one in town, I'll take a day to search what's out there."

Oh, this is an all girls' school? He really should have been paying attention whenever Lin talked of her Bai Ching days.

He looked up as an attractive man approached them, giving him one of his smiles once eye contact was made. It seemed outwardly, for someone to just waltz right up to him.
It wasn't because he was a human now, he denied, it's because Lin's right here. They must know each other.

Of course, after listening to the man's introduction, that obviously wasn't the case. The volume of his voice kept decreasing and decreasing, from a small whine to a whisper. "Oh, I'm not quite sure about anything permanent-- you're stuck here?"

Stuck. Here.

Attack?

He really really should have paid attention to Lin in the past. He'd merely enjoyed the sound of her voice. But I'm a man, he insisted to himself, I can't do more than one thing at a time.

After listening to Nikolaus, Dymetri nodded at him and understood well. Lin's so stubborn, he realized while looking at her. She wasn't able to look at things from another perspective.
But perhaps she's too close to be able to back up and look at the entire picture, he thought. Dymetri had no connection to the Headmistress of the school or even this man. This Nikolaus person.

He definitely wasn't like Quentin. Quentin was attractive, sure, but this guy looked differently. Was godly the right word? Dymetri almost missed his immortal form, but now the only thing left on him that could ever suggest what he once was were his unearthly platinum eyes. He looked at Nikolaus now, pursing his lips.

"Well, Lin," he offered, "wouldn't the liquid from my pendant be able to help him go through the barrier?"
It seemed logical. But of course, Dymetri wasn't an elf. Elves work in mysterious ways. He turned his gaze to her and his face softened. "I know you love being here, Lin. But not everyone could love what you love," he gently reminded.

Immature Excuse

Ever jumped just a little bit at the sudden exclamation and appearance of a man from behind one of the easels in the room. She put her hand on her chest and laughed slightly.

"Oh! Wow you startled me. Hello, sir. My name is Evermore Erinyes. I was in art last year but hadn't enrolled this year because there was no teacher for art until now. I'm very glad you took this job... uh... what's your name, sir?"

Lin stared at Nikolaus for a moment and then nodded stiffly. "Yes... I suppose I see your predicament, Mr. Brandt. I guess it would be difficult to be trapped somewhere you are not familiar with and have no control over when you can leave."

She looked at Dymetri and her face softened. She had taken to calling him Dymetri now that they were at Bai Ching since no one here would know of a similar-looking professor with the exact same name from MFHS.

"Dymetri... Your pendant, my love, cannot allow anyone to transport through that barrier."

She sighed and looked between Dymetri and Mr. Brandt. She gave in to the current situation. "I will go and speak with Headmistress Krause. I need to let her know that I am back home and I will also try and convince her to let you through the barrier whenever you want to transverse between the school and outside of the school. Excuse me."

Lin smiled politely at Mr. Brandt and then turned back to Dymetri. "I will go there myself so that she... well, so that my headmistress does not find out about you since you do not plan on getting a job here right away. I will return shortly."

Lin smiled lovingly at Dymetri and then turned and started climbing the large staircase that led to the second floor. Then, she'd have to go from the second floor to the third floor to get to the Headmistress's office. She left her suitcases on the floor in the entrance area.

"Well, Miss Evermore Erinyes, welcome to my class!" he said with a warm smile as he pushed himself away from the easel and started walking over to her.

"My name is Professor McCloud." he introduced himself as he came closer to her. He then bowed courteously to her, like a gentleman would a lady.

"I hope you enjoy the class." he added with a charming grin.

Ever smiled and nodded in response to her professor. "Well, it's a pleasure to meet you, Professor McCloud. Thank you for welcoming me. Will we all have assigned easels? What art supplies do I need? I don't have a smock."

"Ahhhh, the exuberance of today's youth. You're simply filled with it!" he exclaimed happily as the girl asked her questions.

"Well, you'll have your choice of easel of course. There's plenty open right now. As for art supplies... we'll be working with paints... you can decide whether or not you'll use water-based or oil-based. And I can provide you with a smock. There's plenty in that cabinet over there." he said, finishing up by pointing to a large cabinet that was several feet away from them.

Ever laughed, though she was surprised by the sound since she hadn't heard herself laugh in what seemed like ages. It was already a good start to the class.

She looked behind her as more students began filtering in. Then, she looked back to the professor and nodded with a smile on her face. "Alright. I'll try oil-based, I think, since that seems to stick to the canvas better and doesn't run as much into the other colors on the canvas. That's really cool that you're giving us an option, Professor McCloud."

She smiled once more and then went to the cabinet to get her smock. She told some of the girls along the way about the smocks and where they were, and they began to follow her to get some of their own. Some girl stayed behind and started gazing at the new professor, though. He was young and he was male. Already he would be the talk of the school.

Holy Emperor Raigin

PostPosted: Sat Mar 05, 2011 10:37 am

((Ok its been a while so i have no clue whats going on at the moment... here goes.))

Yuri sat up from his work in the gardens wiping sweat from his brow. It had been a quiet day so far. Most of the students were in class or otherwise occupied so he had been free to go about his work in peace. It was always quiet moments like these where one could step back and simply take in their surroundings.

{{And got Secret's permission for the barrier. smile }}

After awhile, Lin came back down the steps and grinned at both men. "Well, Headmistress Krause will let you pass through the barrier, Mr. Brandt. Surprsingly, she'll let everyone pass. She's putting down the barrier! I have no idea why. She will not tell me the reason, nor will she tell anyone else. I would consider yourself very lucky, Mr. Brandt, and I would thank Headmistress Krause when you have the opportunity."

Then, Lin's face took on a look of perplexity and mild concern. "Also... Headmistress Krause has informed me that Bai Ching will... well, it will become co-ed very soon. I do believe this is best since there are so many males who desire to obtain an education from the finest magical school... I just hope this will all work out for the best and Bai Ching will retain its excellence."

{{Hey Raigin, Ever is in the art class if you want to join. If not the art class, then three people are in the school's entrance area if your character wants to wander by. smile }}

Ambrose Harper Rinaldi, all six feet, two and a half inches of him, stood at the steps of Bai Ching, a suitcase at his feet and a letter-a bit battered from being folded and unfolded several times-in his hand.

He'd come here, from Scandinavia's Mystic Fountain High School, for one reason, and one reason only. And that reason, the reason he'd left his school, the reason he'd-for the first time in his life-ignored his mother's wishes, was here, at this school.

And the name of that reason was Lindolyn Yin.

He'd come, because she'd asked. And more, even more than that, because whether she was there or not, he saw her in his head, smiling, laughing. And in his mind there was nothing he could do about it but be where she was. Even if where she was happened to be on an entirely different continent.

Lin heard motions behind her and turned around. Her eyes widened considerably and she gasped softly. The large doors were still open from when she and Dymetri walked through them.

Shocked, Lin slowly walked toward Ambrose. "Ambrose... What are you doing here?"

Ambrose smiled automatically when he saw Lin, and that smile didn't dim, only became a bit confused as he tilted his head to the side, automatically lifting the letter he held.

"You wrote me. Asking me to come. Surely you remember, Lovely Lin." He said, his eyes focused on nothing but her.
