Erm...it looks like the difference in Mastiffs (including English, Bull, Tibetan, French and Neapolitan,) is very small to begin with. The Bull is usually no taller than 27 inches, but the English is usually 30 or more.
So it's not a big difference. The Bull is apparently the most popular Mastiff type in the states.

As far as the comment that Lunar made:
Dang! That's a big SOB! Never had a dog, always have owned cats, that and ferrets.
Currently own a cat, named Zeus, a ferret named Hades and a bird named Venus.
See a pattern much?

pfft. I'd go with small hordes of dogs..like a herd of dachsunds lead by english bulldogs! drown them in a wave of weenies and bulls!

^^ Yeah, not as tall as the tallest Great Dane on record though. He's a cutie.
Awe Frac, you don't have much of a choice then. Most large dogs slobber, its kind of part of the package. But you can cut down the amount of slobber you have to deal with by getting a bread whose lips don't droop as much.
So the English or Bull mastiff is a good choice. The French is getting a little bad, but steer clear of the Neapolitan!
