I can only imagine the reaction to that letter. Dad, I'm preggers...kelligrin is the father.

5 to 1 says both fathers would show up looking to hurt him.

Or even better, piper trying to hide a letter from her daughter saying 'I get all flushed and giggly around kelligrin...what's going on?'

cliff notes:

Andalian elves, ie Piper/Sevilin have essentially a 'breeding season' trigger effect. this is started by the female getting flushed and giggling alot. the reaction on the male population makes them highly attractive to them and desirable.

Norrathian elves: Malik/Cerrilia don't have such a state.

Laybrithian: Zahara have 'instincts' which is essentially female only were the female in question becomes highly sexually active and 'lustful'.

so in the half breeds : Savyrn/kelligrin/malikhai/Faate/lyssie they may, or may not be effected/have this particular traits.

apparently, Savy does, and Kelligrin is affected by it.

Savvy would die before she's preggers. Woman can't walk through a room without fear of tripping, you think she wants to be in charge of something squishy and easily breakable like a baby?

Does she have a clue about it all? No. Which makes it more fun with her personality type.

I also say it would be both fathers and the eldest sons.

At the very least, Kelligrin has shown he's susceptable to Andalian triggers as he was responsive to Piper when she was on her massive flushed and giggly span of time.

However...there is a flaw to Savvy's flushed and giggly state. Anyone want to take a guess at it?

They can breed between each other because they're all elves. It's just like saying humans couldn't breed like that but they obviously can.

Now when it comes to Dragon-Folk and Humans/Elves, that does come into play save sterility is not a problem as things never get to live.

Of course there is always the alternate answer:

It's fantasy! You can do whatever the hell you want within some sense of reason! Stop sucking the fun out of it! Now everyone shut up and have a cookie!

See, there is always a simple answer for these things too.

well I noticed it 'went away' when Kelligrin was no longer close. that didn't seem to be the case with Piper, as she stalked Malik all over the place. so for her it seems like it's only tirggerable in the presence of a male elf. when elf is gone, no more flushy/giggly.

I would say then that part of the 'flushed' state also is visually triggered. by seeing other elves. she can't see other elves, thus her 'giggly' state recedes when she cannot tell she is directly in contact with them.

so Savy's flushed state also seems to be very agressive when it is around. so I woulkd say, due to blindness and not knowing exactly how long or when elves may be around, her's triggers to be highly agressive to take advatange of when elves are around, and basically 'shuts down' when they are not as it is unknown when/where they might run into more elves and other more important survival needs take precedence.
