:::Cora walks closer to him so that she doesn't have to shout:::
Yes, Johnathan...we have met. You seem to have arrived from some sort of mission. Are you well...? :::She inspected the armor for breaks, or for injury...she was getting used to this sort of thing at the brink:::
-------------------------------------------------------
They paved paradise put up a parking lot With a big hotel, a boutique, and a swinging hot spot
Don't it always seem to go, That you don't know what you've got 'til it's gone. The paved paradise put up a parking lot
They took all the trees, put 'em in a tree museum, And they charge the people a dollar and a half just to see 'em
Don't it always seem to go, That you don't know what you've got 'til it's gone. The paved paradise put up a parking lot
Hey farmer farmer, put away the DDT now Give me spots on my apples, but leave me the birds and the bees Please
Don't it always seem to go, That you don't know what you've got 'til it's gone. The paved paradise put up a parking lot
Late last night, I heard the screen door slam, And a big yellow taxi took away my old man.
Don't it always seem to go, That you don't know what you've got 'til it's gone. The paved paradise put up a parking lot
They paved paradise and put up a parking lot. They paved paradise and put up a parking lot.

*Johnathan narrows his eyes at Malazar, not amused in the slightest, but he makes the best of it.*
"Hey, I like the look of my better half, looks way better than a fleshy sack of crap like I'm stuck being half the time."
*As Cora addressed him he spun around, having heard her clearly through the music, regardless.*
"I'm fine, super even, the armor may look a bit worn or piecemeal, but hell, I think Stumpy did a rather good job, bits and pieces from whatever he could salvage off the enemy and comrades that joined the background radiation that now blankets the Earth in my time. Besides, I don't injure easily, and when I do, its usually cleared up VERY quickly. You'd be surprised..."

Teachers! Leave them kids alone! All in all it's just another brick in the wall. All in all you're just another brick in the wall.

*Enter Luke from Guest Rooms.*
*Luke walks in to the sound of singing. He knows the song, but it isn't really registering... He looks shaken, and much more tired than he looked going in.*
*He goes over to the bar to pour himself a drink.*
*He's earned it.*

((Luke, what we're doing is as follows. As long as its not rap, anything like or relating to rap, country, or pop (or after 1998, no new stuff) we can assume it's in Malazar's music collection. Every post you make, post a song with it. Don't care what song, just a song. No one has actual control of the song changing, unless they do it specifically like Mal just did, just post like normal and attach a song at the bottom.))

Johnathan Hunter *Johnathan narrows his eyes at Malazar, not amused in the slightest, but he makes the best of it.* "Hey, I like the look of my better half, looks way better than a fleshy sack of crap like I'm stuck being half the time." *As Cora addressed him he spun around, having heard her clearly through the music, regardless.* "I'm fine, super even, the armor may look a bit worn or piecemeal, but hell, I think Stumpy did a rather good job, bits and pieces from whatever he could salvage off the enemy and comrades that joined the background radiation that now blankets the Earth in my time. Besides, I don't injure easily, and when I do, its usually cleared up VERY quickly. You'd be surprised..." :::Cora cocked her head to one side, not really understanding most of what he said, but that was a common thing for her to experience in the brink. She did catch the last part though::: Yes...uhm... Me too. :::Cora sees Luke enter, he's obviously come from a very exhausting conversation, or experience watching over the Captain with Bard and Maggie. She finds a seat next to him::: :::Sympathetically::: You too hm? ------------------------------------------------- A certain shade of green, tell me, is that what you need? All signs around say move ahead. Could someone please explain to me your ever present lack of speed? Are your muscles bound by ropes? Or do crutches cloud your day? My sources say the road is clear, and street signs point the way. Are you gonna stand around till 2012 A.D.? What are you waiting for, A certain shade of green? I think I grew a gray watching you procrastinate. What are you waiting for, A certain shade of green? Would a written invitation signed, "Choose now or lose it all," sedate your hesitation? Or inflame and make you stall? You've been raised in limitation, but that glove never fit quite right. The time has come for hand-me-downs, choose anew, please evolve, take flight What are you waiting for? A written invitation? A public declaration? A private consolation?

*Luke lets out a telling sigh. Without any awkwardness, he puts an arm around Cora's shoulder and squeezes it for a moment.* *When he releases, he slings back a beer, and sets it down on the bar.*
*He distracts conversation away from himself.* You okay?

She had a-sightless eyes, Telling me no lies, Knockin' me out with those American thighs,
Taking more than her share, Had me fighting for air, She told me to come, but I was already there,
'Cos the walls start shaking, The earth was quaking, My mind was achin', And we were makin' it and you...
Shook me all night long, Yeah you, shook me all night long.
Running double time on that seduction line, She's one of a kind, She's just mine all mine,
Well her claws, Are just another cause, Made a meal out of me, and come back for more,
Tried to cool me down, To take another round, Well I'm back in the ring to take another swing,
But the walls were shaking, The earth was quaking, My mind was aching, And we were making it and you...
Shook me all night long, Yeah you, shook me all night long, Knocked me out, I said you Shook me all night long, Had me shaking and you, Shook me all night long, Had me shaking, Well you shook me...

*Johnathan shrugged at Mal.*
"If I told you, I'd have to execute it and then devour everything but your spleen. Those I keep on a shelf."
*He glanced at Cora and winked, he was facetious, for the most part. Even for her it should be obvious, but given her nature, it may possibly taken as being serious. He looked back at Malazar, being more serious.*
"Seriously though, chemicals, moon cycle, being that time of the month, don't ask, seriously, don't, or if I get really angry. I'm trying to control it by force of will, but its not turning out too good so far."
++Imagine-John Lennon++
Imagine there's no Heaven It's easy if you try No Hell below us Above us only sky Imagine all the people Living for Today
Imagine there's no countries It isn't hard to do Nothing to kill or die for And no religion too. Imagine all the people Living life in peace.
You may say I'm a dreamer But I'm not the only one I hope someday you'll join us And the world will be as one.
Imagine no possessions, I wonder if you can No need for greed or hunger A brotherhood/sisterhood of man Imagine all the people Sharing all the world
You may say I'm a dreamer But I'm not the only one I hope someday you'll join us And the world will be as ONE.

:::she was suprised at first when she felt the embrace, but it felt appropriate. I'm getting used to it:::
I'm getting used to it... the drama that goes on, I mean. What about you. I am sure this is hitting you hard.

*Luke turned to Cora, thinking - Huh... When she came in here, I don't even think she knew what the word "drama" meant....not really anyway...*
I'm.. I'm okay. *He doesn't even really have the energy to argue her.* It's just been a long night... you know?

:::She gives him a sympathetic smile:::
Believe me, I know...

You shake my nerves and you rattle my brain Too much love drives a man insane You broke my will, oh what a thrill Goodness gracious, great balls of fire
You came on over and took over my heart You came along and moved me honey I cannot lie you are so fine Goodness gracious, great balls of fire
Kiss me baby, Whooo, feels good Come on over baby, Love me like a lover should Your fine, so kind, told this world that your mine, mine, mine

*Johnathan clears his throat.*
"Its not something I feel we need to discuss. I will say there was one psychopath, created the Supermutants. The b*****d died in a nuclear explosion. Radiation is just a staple of life in the Wastes, it can't be escaped. Of the subjects that sur..."
*He paused as the next song came on, it didn't have any lyrics, but it had an upbeat tempo and was one of those cliche type of swing dance songs that really got your foot tapping.*
"Hot Damn! Need a dance partner for this!"
*He looks at Malazar and visibly shudders, then turns to Cora, holding out a hand.*
"Shall we go for a spin? Its ok, just move to the music, forget the steps and let it all flow."

*Luke lends one more moment to exhaustion, and then, he's finished with it. He kicks back the last of his beer. Luke doesn't pity himself or Cora long. It's not in his blood.*
*Instead, he looks at her with a somewhat fresher pair of eyes. He gets up and looks down at her with a sideways smile in regards to Johnaton's request.*
Ever dance before, Slim?
