Hey Guys,
might not be around much for a little while. Comp that I use caught a virus or maleware. It won't let me past the welcome screen. When the comp starts up, it flashes the desktop at me than logs off back to the welcome screen. *sigh* Gotta find out how to bypass this before I can get in there and fix everything. (I think that I can)|
If anyone has any tips, that's be great.
Hopefully see you soon.

Just went out to help my sister pick out a rabbit, and saw a bunch of chinchillas. They were super cute, but much bigger than I thought they were. Are there like, chinchillas and then like 'dwarf' or 'miniature' chinchillas?

Chinchillas are pretty big, about 12-16 inches long. That's their standard.
Xaine however is not that big.
There are "mini chins" who are just smaller chincillas, just like their are smaller people. And there are indeed dwarf chins, which are kinds funny looking and have short tails.
So yeah, chins shold be about the size of small rabbits. As for Xaine...well he's little but he's not a dwarf. I think either he's still growing or he's just a smaller chin.
Considering I'm not even five feet...it's kind of fitting.

I must not have ever been that close to a chinchilla then smile
Actually, after my sister got her rabbit, they switched the chin's into that cage, it was bigger I think and they had three of them.

Awe, thanks.
Speaking of which, saw the new Star Trek movie. Very much enjoyed it.
Actually...that has nothing to do with being creative.

So, gone for a bit.
Xaine got really sick and had to go to the emergency animal hospital last night and stay the night to get some fluids. He had a follow up with a very good vet today and it turns out he has some sort of infection. Which is probably the reason he's not gaining weight.
Now armed with fluids, and meds that smell/taste like marshmallows and bananas he should get better fast.
...I miss the days where human medicine tasted like that.

All the best to Xaine, hope he gets better quick ^^
I used to have a banana medicine. I got sick alot during the winter and usually got bad enough to stay home for a week or two. Always had that banana medicine.
Ooo, and that plastic syringe thing that I'd play with for months afterward. (or until I broke it)

His ears are up and he's not depressed anymore so he's already feeling better. Just about a course of meds and making him eat a lot.
Good news is, he's already being a little hoover to the pellets dropped on the floor. Yay appetite stimulants!
And I have 4 of those things to play with.
Though I only remember bubblegum tasting medicine, which is amoxicillin...which I am apparently allergic to. Boo.
I think he'll be okay now, but he was really bad off last night. He lost 20 grams and gained back more than that in just being given fluids alone. And according to my 1am check on him call, he was eating like a little horse every hour.
