Demetri and Jethrow opened the doors together, admitting the hordes of children into the ballroom they'd so carefully constructed. They winced as the first decoration was broken, and Demetri went to Lunora, resting his head on her shoulder. "Can we go now?"

Lunora chuckled and shook her head. "You're a wizard. You can fix it. Now come on. Just last the night."
Lyori followed the other students into the ballroom, glancing around. This was a very well done ball. It made her smile at how much care someone had put into decorating for just this party. Though she hoped she'd have a good time.

Kaitani entered the ball in a wave of other students, but it was hard for Lyori to hide herself. She was absolutely radiant in the golden dress she wore that matched the tips of her hair so perfectly. It was the first time in his life that Kaitani ever remembered the very tips of his ears heating up, and him feeling the need to hide his face from the people surrounding him. God was she beautiful.

Lyori continued to look for Kaitani. She couldn't see him through this thick crowd. So she took a seat down at a table to let the crowd disperse and let her have a better view of seeing the little ice dragon.

Kaitani quickly hid with a group of people he knew, including a certain young prince named Jazz, who was just sort of hanging out on the sidelines, wearing a green and black suit and with his black hair styled back.

Lyori was soon joined by one princess named Myra. Both hit it off quite well with a few other girls that sat with them to enjoy their small chatting. They were also waiting for the food to be served. They had ordered a cute little platter to taste everything.

Amongst the group of boys was one with an unusual bright red suit, and dark brown hair that he had flattened and over his dark blue eyes. Nobody knew much about him except that his name was Vlad, and that he was from a far off country nobody had heard of before. And that he had his eye on a certain princess, however that was a little known fact.
On the girls' side of the ballroom was a very different new comer. She had short brown ringlets that didn't need much work to tame and big brown eyes to match. She looked very much like a puppy, especially in her brown and white dress. She was sitting next to Myra, though she didn't know the princess very well. [OOC:] One for Myra, one for Kuro...

The platter was soon brought over to them and Lyori and Myra smiled brightly. Lyori let her nymph dragon off her shoulder and onto the table to snack on the bowl of nuts that were on the platter they had gotten.
Myra smiled, petting the little nymph who chirped happily, sitting in the bowl of nuts. "It's so cute! I wish I could find one!" she said before looking to the new girl she didn't know very well. "So what's your name?"
Kuro had taken to standing next to a window, just keeping to himself. And just like his father, he didn't like dances. But it was jsut because he was so shy. He was so nervous being around the entire school in one room and being in the clothes he was.

"Madden," the girl responded cheerfully, smiling and looking over at the princess. Of course, she knew her name. Everybody at the school did.
Kaitani watched as the nymph dragon wandered over to eat off a platter that Lyroi's table and ordered. The ice dragon got an idea, suddenly, and he pulled a small scrap of meat from his own table's platter, holding it down and using magic to waft the scent over to the nymph dragon.
Spotting the cousin of the princess he had his eye on, Diablo moved over to stand by Kuro at the window. "Don't like parties?" he asked in a hard to place accent, looking at Kuro from the corner of his eye.

The other girls smiled, introducing themselves to Madden. And what talking they did! They were quick friends, but the dragon watched as hre nymph perked up and dashed off the table. She gasped and quickly got up, excusing herself, and going after her little nymph before it got stepped on.
Kuro jumped a little as he was addressed. He looked to Diablo and nodded a little. His accent was puzzling, but Kuro wasn't in the mood for puzzles. He hadn't seen anyone he really liked or wanted to talk to. Still oh so shy, this one.

Madden smiled at them all, glad to see that she was accepted. After all, she really enjoyed people; talking to them, being around them. Just people being themselves. She watched as Lyori ran off, slightly concerned, but figuring that she'd be back with her nymph in no time.
Diablo tilted his head as Kuro said nothing. "Not very talkative, are you?" he asked, giving the prince a half-smile in a slightly heartening way.
Kaitani caught the nymph dragon as it leaped after the meat he held, and he stroked the creature's head as it ate from his hand. [OOC:] Sorry for being MIA yesterday. I just passed the hell out....

[OOC:] Tis ok. Everyone needs to do that once in a while.
Lyori followed her nymph until she found it eating out of the hand of a familiar dragon. She smiled softly and stood next to him. "So you're the one who made him run off."
Kuro looked to Diablo again and shook his head. He was still nervous, but he was starting to relax. At least someone wanted to be around him.
Myra watched as Lyori chased after her nymph, the princess then looking to Madden. "So tell me about you. I haven't seen you around here." she said with a smile.

Kaitani smiled up at Lyori, too, and shrugged. "Maybe he likes me better," he said jokingly, patting the creature on the head as it flew to Lyori, landing on her shoulder. "Or not."
Diablo looked around, wondering to himself what there was that would get this boy talking. "You seem to be more of an academic type. Like to read, to learn. What about?" Since it was no longer a yes-no question, Diablo hoped to get an answer out of Kuro.
Madden shrugged. 'I'm kinda new. I used to live in the southern region of the neighboring kingdom, on a ranch with my family. We had a particularly good year last year, so we all got something we've been wanting for a really long time. Mine was to be sent here."

Myra smiled and pat Madden on the back. "Don't worry. You'll really like it here!" she said to the girl, still smiling.
Lyori laughed softly as the nymph returned to her shoulder. She then went behind him and wrapped her arms around his neck. "Ya know... If you wanted to talk to me. You could have jsut come over."
Kuro gulped a little. Seems his luck with getting Y-N questions had run out. But he shrugged at the question. "N-Nothing important..."

Madden grinned a little more. "I already do," she admitted, blushing a little.
Kaitani stiffened as Lyori walked around behind him, and he jumped a little as her arms came around his neck. He swallowed, then forced a smirk onto his face, turning his head so he could see her. "Ah, but where's the fun in that?"
Diablo raised his eyebrows. "Come now, there must be something that excited you."
