true...he was a lil more...obsessive, wasn't he. but that's his nature. Onyx was definately more of a posessive guy heh
I think the real issue we kept running into, honestly, was Az's Tarathiel and co basically being invulnerable. I mean no matter what you could some up with, someone in his 'crew' had the exact counter or neutral ability to it. so it made combat/external threats a kinda moot point. I mean I know we all do it, but Az took it to an extreme.
Tarathiel had a hundred magical items and weapons on his person at all times, he had a minotaur who basically for lack of comparision had all of Cymarron's shaman power and strength, a lizardman that was for practical purpose a ninja, the high elf that was Piper's superior in archery, and the mage types that were played as if Sevilin woudl be hard pressed to challenge them and the general that was Malik's surperior in swordplay/tactics ect.
so really all that was left mostly after the 'hooded man' was beaten was relationship/character building.

We were the only ones with large plots in our heads?
*shrugs* Possessive might have been fun to work with. I don't think I've had a character like that. An addict, yes. Possessive, not to any extent that becomes a major character trait. (Cept Alaran, but she hardly cunts)
And yeah, cupcakes count.

I'll admit to the Az thing. He made it hard to play and seemed more content to play with himself.
After the battle of Jarlaxle/Sevilin/Zahara, where after he told us what to do because he was flicking everything else off like dust, and then when we did what he said because we were frustrated that we couldn't get at him with anyting and he suppsoedly gave us the weakness, he still flicked it off...I stopped trying to confront him on a battle level anymore. I found it pointless to try because whatever I did was going to be countered in a way that I found too unbelieveable even for fantasy land.
You weren't the only ones with big plots no, but you were running the show of them at the time. Then when you all letf out of them or seemingly dropped them, we tried some but you all had skipped by that time so it was down to us and we work with what we got.
Which now seems to a lot of a** biting past annoyance scenarios. But you know, I like back story.
I'm still calling obsessive on the cat and yay cupcakes!
They are funfetti cake with vanilla frosting with sprinkles and gummi lifesavers on top.

Honestly, I didn't have any of those problems. But also, I don't think I ever fought any of Az's characters. *shrugs*
The hooded man was fun to play. He was creepy, and I don't think I played out his full potential. Although I liked him better as just the floating head and hands. After he became flesh, I opened up way to many possibilities for more characters which just ran me into more corners.
This convo makes it seem like I left so suddenly. I'm pretty sure I tried to make it work for a long time. But at the speed we Rp...who knows. Maybe I was gone too quickly.
Those cupcakes sounds GREAT! I just have one question...what's 'funfetti'?

I mean there's stuff that might be nice to work with..like Deepwater or the Orc horded lands and such...but hnoestly I'm not overly fond of play both the villian and the badguy. mostly becuase it's to easy to fall into the move/countermove traps becuase I know both sides of the equation. I know everything Malik can do, everything he cna throw at an enemy. and becuase of that, it's all to easy to make an enemy that seems bland becuase since I know what malik can do, I almost have to make sure that the villian can fight against it for a time.
there's no looks at the bad guy post and going..okay...how the heck did that come about and how do I stop it?
You didn't really leave suddenly, no. the bulk on that I again blame az becuase he put pretty much everyplace outside of Triumverate under his dominion.
he ran the llothian empire with Tarathiel/Jaraxyle he ran Honorsfield and Deepwater. by putting his characters in charge through coups that took 3 characters and 4 days. when he basically stopped playing in Lab...nearly the entirely world has become just npc places and names.

Yeah, you never fought him so you didn't have that problem. But it honestly got to a point where it was frustrating and he was baiting us because he wanted the fight but we'd shrug off the bait because we didn't want to fight something we'd never win at.
FYI, floating hands and head is way creepy. I thought you were going to take the Delta thing somewhere, but you dropped that and dropped Lab in the process of that.
I admit, I suck at most bad guy playing...unless I go to extermes and then I'm really really good at it. Closest I got to a mild/appropriate bad guy type is Savryn and let's all admit it, she's more b***h than anything...when having a good day.
Funfetti is white cake with little color balls inside of it, that make little spots of colors on the inside of the cake that are sort of like confetti looking...they call it funfetti and it is delicious. But not for chinchillas.

Man, I STILL want to do something with Delta. She was young, (technically less than a year) inexperienced, blind from the get go. She didn't even have the emotional crutch of the dragon the Meil did.
But her development was going to involve the child Taratheil as a sort of catalyst. So she didn't have much to go on without the kid to get her going.
As to being the villain, I usually made one with the mind that my character wouldn't be fighting them. But then, I usually made my characters with major flaws that would make fighting villains a little more fun. Like Meil had that pesky problem of seeing the future. But being unable to see her own future opening up more possibilities.
Oooo, okay. I've had that kind of cake before, I've just never heard it called funfetti before. I like it ^^

Savy really isn't evil persay. she's more...cold and callous. her father's daughter indeed.
I would love to see you come back to Lab, Lunar. though honestly we really need some new people. so new blood...or get the ones we had to come back that have jumped ship on us heh.

Go with a loophole theory? There's going to be plenty of fodder coming around to use as such. Hell, if you want to use Savvy as a catalyst feel free. Wasn't there some clause about Piper and Malik dying that could be extended to their kids or something that may work for you? Little Savvy that is, not bitchy scary Savvy.
Exactly, she isn't. Which is why I said the closest. I just do extreme better than mild. Or mental torment. And we all know that fighting your own villian isn't nearly as fun.
And I say it again, scout out Barton more. I tried.
That's what the Betty Crocker calls it. Funfetti. It's my favorite.

I'd love to come back to Lab, with one maybe two characters at the most. But if you scout out more people and it starts moving fast again, I won't be able to keep up. I have a job that takes a lot of my time (rightly so, I'd imagine) and it's not fair to others to have to wait on me to keep something going.
Piper and Malik dying? Sorry, I don't remember anything like that....but...I really do have a terrible memory. Did this about before I stopped?
Funfetti is making me think of cake...hmm...vanilla icing is my favorite.

It was way in the beginning when they first came there. Soul replacement and what not and basically them dying = plane collapse. Warren even stopped by to check on Malikhai once because of it.
I'm blinding Savvy in oh, six years here and you could always call up old clauses and tie them up to currents. Blind for blind sparks something or other.
We don't move nearly as fast as we used to. I know that much. We have occassional burst nights mostly.
We ran out of icing...but still have cupcakes left. Sadness.

See? My memory is worse than a goldfish. At least a gold fish can be trained to swim through hoops, I have doubts that I can even be trained.
It sounds very intriguing...I'm gonna give it some serious thought and get back to you guys on it. Maybe even give whirlwind another shot.
But it's late, and my BF's been waiting for me to come to bed for the last hour and a half.
Goodnight!
