"So safe that Kaden could get to her?" Okay, she was pushing now and she knew that...but she was doing it partly on purpose. When she really wanted to, the queen in her could be shown without flaw. All business and diplomatic as an elf could be. "We both know...she can't take care of herself down here. She's young, which makes her rash and foolish, and she's stubborn which blinds her to dangers and possibilities." How did Fianna know? Well she used to be the same way really when she was Piper's age. Yes she did indeed know what she was talking about. her eyes briefly studied th blade and then their intense green was rigth back on Malik. "You can't make me promises...despite how we like to think, worlds, planes, dimensions, they're all built on nothing but short lived and broken promises.Perhaps you think I am worrying too much and bearing too hard on this situation. But I'm also sure you can see where I'm coming from. From what Kieran tells me you're just as fierce about her as me and him are." Another pause, was this going good? But then again...they're definitions of good could very vastly. Fianna shook her head as if to clear it. Then another question struck her. "Tell me Malik...are you honestly trusting of me?" Which was a fair question. Drow didn't trust many if anyone and in all possibility she could choose to strike at Malik at any point in time. Be it by herself or with an army.

"Kaden was agasint my will. I todl her many times not to meet with him, or to go with me. and Kaden paid a heavy price. woudl you like to know what happened to him? or is still happening to him? or that comrade of his?"
Okay a bit of a defensive measure of tone there.
"I have nothing to fear from you, Fianna. I'll speak plainly on it. if you brought an army, there's only one place to safely land them from here. my slaves are not all for pleasure and menial chores. most are finely trained, by Drow standards, in archery. if you could get throuhg the archers, and the undead and diseas clouds and poisons my necromancers coudl provide, you have to make it past the fear and heat shields, and the four golems, of whom are made of special stone that comes off in shards, which means even wounding them can cause your own troops injury."
He shook his head.
"But I'm not interested in fighting. I want a family again. mine was ripped from me at teh claws of Cymarron, and I won't have Piper, or any child we might have, deprived of family if I can help it. and I need allies. Tarathiel is an ally only as far as I can throw him, liable to turn on me once the Lich is gone. I can't turst a Llothian city, anymore than I can trust the new lord of deepwater. there's nothign for me to gain, and much strife and hardship to come if things go bad between us."

"All in all I prefer not to speak of Kaden Ravenwing, or Terran Gale for that matter. An Andallian high elf gone bad is horrible enough, and Kaden betrayed more than just Piper. Frankly...bravo for whatever form or justice you've brought upon him." Though he did get a smile from her as she took up her glass again, sipping at the wine in all too casual fashion. "Prepared, that's a good thing...though I am not foolish. My elves may be combat trained for the drow in Andal, but you hold advantage here. And I am not looking for a fight either." Really now...he would go to such length to keep Piper. Fianna had no doubt that Piper would be on his side either. She pulled a cinnmon stick from a compartment in her guantlet, and stirred it in her drink a moment, before finishing off the glass. Standing up she walked over to Malik and held out her hand to him. "Impress me Malik. You can't make me a promise...but I'll give you my trust. Prove to me that you love her...and that you speak truth to me."

Malik took her hand, and let her pull him up a bit while he got up, and looked at her, rubbing his chin lightly with his hand.
"What do you want me to do to prove this point? if your thinking to remove her collar..I can't. she won't let me..I tried to after...her event, and she fought me. she doesn't want it taken off under any circumstance."
Malvolence was left on the table, pulsing nad speaking to it's wielder, who smirked lightly.
"Now I didn't forget about you."
And he picked the blade up and resheathed it.
"WE did think that perhaps, if things went well, after we got settled...that we might take a trip to Andal. though I woudl wager I wouldn't get near as warm a welcome form that plane as you might have here."

"I assure you...Donaith has clearly explained the collar issue to me. A mark of hers that she wouldn't give up for the world...it's endearing really. And as long as it's no harm to her...I can over look it. As far as proving it...that is up to you to figure out. There can be no true proof when one is under direction, now can there?" A little shrug. "You're already doing well...after all, no Drow I've ever heard of has even vaguely though of a communion." Though yeah a little bit of an eyebrow raise when he was apparently talking to his sword, but she wasn't going to mention that...she figured she'd rather not know. And a little c**k of her head at him on his mentioning of Andal. "Well...depends on who your friends are. Being connected to both me and Kieran can give you quite the position. Besides...they wouldn't cry drow at the sight of you." Another one of those inquisitive looks. "How did you manage to talk her into a trip to Andal? I was under the impression she wouldn't step foot onto the plane. Especially not now." See, she was talking to him and trying to get personal with him...

"Well mostly it was to meet with you and Kieran on your own plane. after all, it is far easier for me to come to the surface than you to come to the dark. and of course, there is the tlak of potential grandchildren. we wouldn't want to deprive our child of seeing the surface, now would we."
A small grin. he did notice the eyebrow raise.
"Malvolence is a sentient vampiric sword. but another reason of course was simple courtesy. we can't expect you to come down here all the time, can we. though I must say you were a bit better than Piper. I had to pry her off a tree by cutting the branch and letting her carry it with her."
A small chuckle.
"and with the traderoute of cinammon, we'll be able to afford more things, get more slave if needed or maybe even higher on some wizards to help with makign travel to and from your plane and here easier. As for the communion."
He gave a small pause on that.
"I never heard of it until piper and kieran brought it to my attention. and I must admit it worries me. there are parts of me, that I woudl rather not have her see. But I want to give her everything I can. and this is something I can give, and I will give."

She linked her arm with Malik's giving a little tug to get him walking with her. What was she getting at? Subtle testing in her own way...and she was feeling brave at the moment so now was a nice time to try. "Swords like that are dangerous to foe and weilder alike..." Fianna knew better than to comment directly on a man and his sword though...they got all huffy sometimes. "Then again, Malik, you didn't see how Kieran got me down here did you? He slipped something into my tea...next thing I know I'm on a Zephyr in the middle of a planes jump." Yes, Kieran could be devious as anyone sometimes. And speaking of cinnamon, she was chewing on a stick of the stuff. "A planes gate would need to be started anyway for planar travel. I already have a few established to specific planes." Then another pause as he moved to a most intimate elven subject. "Communion...an innate trait born in elves that surface elves capitalize on. Usually...elves have communion before they acknowledge a bond...especially a deep one between two. A true bond is a step up from communion. From Kieran tells that you two are going about it backwards." That got a little chuckle before she sobered. "I'm sure there are parts of her that she doesn't want you to see. Like her ear...Kieran says you know it vague at best. And things that happened when she was younger as well...whatever she got into before she met you. Which all things considered you both should be apprehensive seeing as you're working backwards." Another little spell of quiet as something seemed to catch her attention but them left her thoughts. "And you do know about her right? You keep saying 'children'." Well it would be mean to just have him disappointed later down the line. Drow had big families and he was expressing family tendencies, as well as using plurals.

He let her link he rarm in his, and smiled lightly.
"I know that she sacrificed part of her ear to get away from a group of ogres. but I doubt the things in her past are quite the same as mine. though I coudln't really tell you much about bonds from my standpoint. Drow rarely, if ever, form them with anyone. normally, a drow will only know thier mother by name, thier father by name if they are lucky. big families are simple naturally defense against the innate nature of betrayals and powermongering. if we didn't have large famliies, we'd be extinct."
A small grin.
"As for family..children...I know that your fertility rate is much, much lower. but that does make for more fun trying, doesn't it. Or is there something else you were referring to?"

"No nothing else to worry about...just making sure you knew. You'll be lucky to get one child. Disappointment leaves a bitter taste after all." She was discussing her child's child with him...hm, was that awkward or a form of acceptance? With Fianna...who knew. "Well...bonds aren't as common on the surface as you would think either Malik. Sure, communions are had...a handy information tool at times...but we're careful in our bonds as well. Father's bond with thier children, mother's naturally have the bond to thier child from the pregnancy, and others than that...it's usually a good reason. I suppose our life spans contribute to that pickyness." Pondering in her head...well she didn't feel threatened by Malik thus far...and she was good at reading people. But here they were, her arm linked in his casually walking the place and info digging on one another. Yeah, a little odd. "But back to communion...you'll never be just you anymore. And she's telepathic too."

"Her's is crippled though for some reason. unlike her father's...I have some telepathic power through Malvolence. among other gifts it gives me, from those it's slain. and what do you mean by not being just me? I'm not going to take a liking to red or dresses, am I?"
A little humor, after all, he can't appear to always be buisness, now can he? and she at least was seeming more comfortable about him. that was a good sign.
"I hope to have maybe two. but one woudl be fine with me, if that's all we can have. I'm not blind to that. but I'm not going to just not care about having more than one child competely. I want more, but if all I can have is one, then it's worth it if it's with Piper. honestly, if it was that big a deal to have several children, I coudl get a slave for that. but I have no intention to have children with anyone but Piper."

Okay, he did earn a soft laugh from her on that one. "I would hope not. As nice as your skin color is...red would do you no good. At least that bright red she takes a fancy to, and dressed just wouldn't do you jsutice. I more of mean...communions are a sharing of the spirit...like a bond. But again since you two are working backwards you didn't get the chance at the soul connection before bonding took place. You'll be you, but Piper is always going to be there mixed in. And you can't hide anything from her then. Then again neither can she from you. But yes, her telepathy is crippled...never been able to figure out why but she can only connect to someone if there is an established connection like one through communion, or there is a conduct like your sword for instance since it gives you some telepathy." He almost earned an eyebrow raise with the slave comment. But of course he put reassurance to her with the next statement. And she belived him...simply because she believed her daughter wouldn't stand for that at all. Piper never liked to share really. But a nod to him. "Well...no harm in trying. Surprises happen sometimes. Though if you've mentioned it before in plural you've probably worried her...we both know how sensitive she is to disappointing someone."
Both opened thier eyes and exchanged a look at each other. Yes, they had been in reverie...up to the point where the two left and took to tour the place. A smile to Kieran and a smile to Piper. "That's a good sign perhaps?"
"Not perhaps. Your bother can't hold an evil double sided agenda...it's just not in her. Like I told you...I pointed out she was being a hypocrite and she's trying to really give him a chance." Though they had no idea what was being talked about since the two left...hopefully it was still going good. "So, did you think about the other thing I mentioned? Think you're ready?"
"I think I'm ready."
"Good then, let's go fetch your weapons." Taking hold of her hand he pulled her up and with a whispered elvish word, cloaked them both. Not need to disturb the two talking elves should they prematurely cross paths.

"So tell me....exactly why are we not taking this opportinuty?"
The two stared into a corner of that dusty bastment, seeing soemthing that only they could see. "We didn't even have to go looking for one this time."
"I know. It's just there."
"And we aren't taking it because?"
"I don't know. Do we like it here that much?"
"People want ti kill us."
"And collar us."
"We've left for less reasons."
The worm hole loomed before them, inviting, promissing, full of wonder and surprise and fun. "Just think of all the stuff we could do in there."
Jaun shrugged, wrapped his arms around a large barrel filled with ale, nad phased out. Jell supposed that was his answer, and shortly followed suit.

"She only disappointed me once. and that was when she went to see him without waiting for me. I was hoping to go with her. but they got thier in the end. Gale is probably wadnering somewhere on Andal now, borken, and his mind completely shattered, as a warning. and Kaden...his punishment is never going to end."
A hard look on his face at that.
"I don't mind not being able to keep things from her. or her from me. my concern is she'll see what I used to be. what I was before I decided to take over nad rebuild my father's buisness. they things I did as a soldier in Neriak's army. the events at Bloody Kithcor..and she'll become afriad. that it will make her scared of me, becuase of the things I have done, and am capable of doing."

"Tried to tell her no, no matter what didn't you?" Yeah, Fianna had had that experience with her. " She used to get it in her head that she could take on anything...call it proving herself or an ego trip, whichever. The more you tell her no, the harder she fights...or that's how it used to be anyway. She would od persued the subject more...but she didn't feel the mood for dark things. Though he got a raised eyebrow now at his little admitance to her. "You said before she's stood up for you despite things...what makes things so different? The typical drow were you?" Though it also surprised her more that Malik would pick fear to put as Piper's reaction. "You really think you'd spook her?"

"I was not the typical drow. I was worse. I would ride through my own men, trample them under Nightmare's hooves to hear the screams. I killed soldiers, peasants, children, babes, becuase they just happened to be there at the time. at Kithcor I was so bent on my own glory that I stayed my troops, and watched thier fellows get slaughtered, so that I coudl challenge one elf without fear of another besting him first. I lived to kill and shed blood. it didn't matter who or what that blood came from."
he sighed lightly.
"That was Malvolence at work. it craved blood, and I fed it. without hesitation or care. I woudl skewer heads, no metter what age, and rotiserie them on campfires. my armor never left a field of battle..or any villiage or twon between Neriak and the battlefield, without being layered in blood. I was a monster."
