Soranoko
The sky weeps for the Chargers.

So much for our clear weather. :T Just in time for finals, ugh.
Yeah, it started hailing here and I didn't even know it was raining outside. @______@

Sorry. Still at my job. People there are depressing sometimes. ): I had to work an 8 hour shift last night. 12am to 8 am. gonk The time went by really fast though and I didn't feel tired until I was driving to church. OMG, I swear I almost died driving. I kept closing my eyes for a few seconds until I had to shout myself awake. It's been an interesting day. XD

I hate it when I work at a place I like and then I find out why I don't shop there anymore. :/

Also, yay Steelers won! <3

I'm totally not familiar with how things go, but shouldn't Gaia wrap up their last event before starting Modmas?

Outside, in my town of course, it's now the same color as my current outfit: white. And the snow will keep on coming for the whole week. eek

Also, I went to my office party and, as a gift, we were treated with professional photo sessions, so I'll post the outcome on the photo thread.

So many of the people I know are ridiculously excited about Cataclysm, and I'm just sitting here going "HECK YEAH BIG BANG!" >.>

So...I'm really wondering why Obama is extending the Bush Tax Cuts for the wealthiest Americans. I mean, from what I've been hearing the rich should be taxed a lot given our predicament and giving them a break would only bankrupt us. The middle class would get the tax cut...but if he's signing us all up for a tax cut then ... sad

I dunno. I really liked Obama when he came into office but right now he's coming off as a weak president. Really weak. We need fiscal responsibility and it's like we're just throwing money around. The economy cannot sustain massive debt for long (yeah, yeah, our GDP is high -- or the highest in the world, but its growth is now stagnant while the debt climbs higher). I'm really thinking that the whole bailout was such a lie. Now that the banks have been bailed out, they're doing fine in the market while we sustain the blow. I can't imagine where we're going now.

Also, some top economists are thinking that Europe is going to split up. Man, this thing is getting bad...

Well, I guess some people in the EU didn't like to be a part of the euro since certain economies can't really work well together (someone owning a farm is a lot different than industrial work).

Also, I know some businesses have trouble getting money to people and hiring more people if they don't get a tax cut, but I don't think giving money to billionaires is going to help either. We need small businesses to be solvent. It's the life blood of the economy. gonk

I know what you mean, Sevi. I mean, yes, I'm all for working together with political opponents in office, but there's a difference between working together and caving! There are more than 2 ways to work with someone - it's not just hate them to death or do what they want! It reminds me of someone I used to work for who had the opposite problem, or the same problem in the opposite direction. She was all about how you can't be friends with your employees. But she didn't seem to grasp that there are more options than just friends or enemies!

Holy craaaaaaaaaaaap. I bought a first edition of the English translation of Phantom of the Opera on ebay for under $20. It was formerly a library book and the binding is quite loose, but it still has all of it's pages and everything. The starting bid was 99 cents! I think this person had no idea what they were selling. Yay for me! eek

Okay, so last week after celebrating my birthday early with friends at olive garden we went to a friends house and played apples to apples and I got drunk off my a**.
By the time that I needed to get home, I was wasted after about 7 shots worth of vodka and cranberry, so I had my friend drive me an my car home.

We had just gotten onto the freeway when the rpm went high for some odd reason even though we were just driving 65. The next thing I know I hear the engine knocking hard and smoke coming out of the engine compartment.
We had to pull over to take a look. There was nothing much we could do to damage it so it was decided to drive as far as possible; which ended up halfway up the off ramp.

My friend that was following us, drove his car to the gas station just a block away and walked back to us to help push my car to the gas station.

I just have this to say. I AM SO ******** GLAD MY CAR IS LIGHT!!! gonk heart

I was able to get sobered up real fast after that exercise. sweatdrop
I called my parents to get my car towed home but dad didn't have anything to attach my car to his truck.

Thankfully my friend that was driving me had AAA and called for a tow truck and I was able to get home with my broken car.

Because there was no luck in finding a junkyard engine for my car for this past week my Nissan was considered a lost cause.
However, my parents talked about it and decided that they were going to buy me a new car.
The only catch is I need to get a job ASAP and to work with school.
So after Finals this next week, I'll be looking for employment.

Today, my folks and I went to too dealerships, KIA and Toyota.
At KIA we looked at the SOUL, though they were giving us the runaround, and didn't treat us very good, so we went across the street and looked at the Yaris which was the first of two we were going to look at, the second was the Scion xD. We never got to the Scion, I was hook with the Yaris, and so was my dad.

So now, I have myself a brand new 2010 Yaris. And because the person that quoted us on the Yaris, which we were looking at online first before going down to the dealership ******** up, we got the car $2000 less then the sticker price. mrgreen heart

Despite losing out on my old car the week before my birthday, two weeks before finals, three weeks before Christmas, everything turned out good regardless. My Nissan broke down close to home, on the weekend, and not during the week; it wasn't that bad of an inconvenience. The only thing though, this'll be my birthday/christmas present for 3-4 years. sweatdrop

Nice Ryo!! Yeah, you probably won't be getting a lot of presents any time soon but a new car is fantastic! Congrats on it!

Buuut sorry you have to get a job. It's also hard to get a job especially after the holidays. I was lucky to get one myself and only for the month of December. :/ I doubt I'll be staying but then again I like babysitting this kid name Cole. It's so awesome. Arg. I MISS getting paid every week. Arg. crying Buuut I should be paid this week anyway. I want money now so I can spend it. srsly. gonk

Pasta: I like Pachelbel's Canon in D for the holidays but it's such an overused song. It's in weddings, graduations, Christmas... kinda like Beethoven's Fur Elise. But it's nice for now. (:

My dad wanted me to play Canon in D buuut....ugh, so annoying. Haha. Right now I'm trying to do Christmas songs. So far I have What Child is This and I'm almost done with God Rest Ye. Still trying to do Carol of the Bells but it's so long. ugh. I think next I'll do Silent Night and Hark, the Herald.
