Aesi Nuri There might be some welsh somewhere in the line, but that was probably just sheep, Kyaa, a meaner person would probably take advantage of this. What? You mean like using it for a really baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad pun? twisted

I've settled on my new tattoo design, and I'm getting it done by a friend (in UV ink). http://wing.so-4pt.net/Tatt.png I'll be getting it starting from my left wrist and curling around my left fore-arm.
The Ogham is representative as opposed to phonetic and it represents the way I would like my life to run.
It talks, in the first quartet (eifc), about the fact that I have recently, past two or three years, been undergoing a massive spiritual change and rebirth.
The second quartet (qlsy) refers to my being healed, magically tutored and gaurded, my particular gifts and then, in turn, healing. This has definitely been a core feature of my spiritual path thus far.
The final quartet (onde) refers to the fact that I have recently left the service of a God, under good terms, and that I seek to still act as a priest in general and that I seek to continue my growth and learning.
All of this is very vague, I realise, but Ogham doesn't translate from concept to English very well. That, and there are cultural concepts that don't translate at all.

I play Mozart superfast! Look at the speedy go! Whooosh! That was fun! Hooray for the merits of playing your scales! 4laugh
Reagun: Thanks for adding the meaning. It makes much sense and is superspecial.
EDIT: And only 60 euro?!? With UV ink and everything? That's pretty damn impressive.

Eek. I can't see that tattoo... I'll check in a few hours if the server is gonna be nice. I'm sure it's awesome. xD
I'm a total mutt too. Irish, Welsh, German and Slovak heritage. I only really connect to the Slovak side, especially when it comes to language. I can't wrap my head around Irish or Welsh, and I don't like German... the shouting and the spitting! gonk
There's a large Slovak community here in Columbus, Ohio, but most of us have lost contact with the Old World and its traditions, and I don't think anyone speaks Slovak fluently. (I try, I really do, but I have no way to pay for lessons or anything. sweatdrop ) My mommy can't make halušky either. I want halušky damnit!

No a very complicated tattoo, but it will be beautiful the way you're having it wrapped!

Aesi No a very complicated tattoo, but it will be beautiful the way you're having it wrapped! No, I don't do the whole "needlessly complicated magic" thing. Every aspect of it, from the fact that it's UV sensitive ink (and therefore invisible except under a black light generator), to the fact that there are three groups of four (nice bit of Celtic Numerology there), to the particular symbols and their meanings (to tell the story) has been chosen carefully and thought over for quite some time now. I intend on getting another one on my right arm at a later date, extending the Ogham up my arms and then onto my back in black. But that all depends on what my life has to throw at me.

Doing so much for a tattoo I could only see at certain times would drive me crazy. So, kind of a "Y" laid over your arms and back? Or one line on each side?
