Even with as careful as she was, there was no accounting for a deep-seated fear she hadn't quite figured out yet. And well, the sudden wall of sound was certainly startling, sending all rabbits into hiding and throwing their leader a little off-kilter. Though she caught herself from completely falling backwards, a quick extension of both arms keeping her from hitting her head again. And again she crawled over to his side. So many small accidents in one day! And while it was tempting to take him up in her arms or on her lap again, seemed entirely too much like a show with that creepy doll looking on and all. She reached out for one of his shoulders anyway, discouraged from doing some things but not deterred from doing everything.

"Are you all right?" A repetition of words she used often but always with the same amount of concern behind them as well. "And... how can I help you?" The sweet tone of her words encouraged little rabbit heads to start popping out from wherever they'd happened to hide. "Need somewhere to lie down? Your clothes washed? To be left alone to clean yourself up?" All suggestions likely to provoke laughter from her tiny uninvited guest, but just as well. Hardly any overly affectionate suggestions to be seen. Just practical ones, really. Being that her fingers had taken to rubbing over and under her closed eye, seemed that she could use a portion of the first suggestion herself. "Are you as dizzy as I am right now?" Said with such amusement, too. "Not that that's a new experience for me, around the likes of you." Making jokes in spite of their increasing amount of injuries and their jeering audience too. Still, it seemed that barring a few mishaps her plan had gone well. "Did I do all right, though? Any suggestions?" She was sure that the doll would likely chime in with some sarcastic ideas too but she had to know.

"I'm..... Fine," he mutters, with hardly restrained anger seething through his words, "I just need to..."

A crack, a snap, a whip! And the doll is caught in the medic's death grip! Wiggle all he liked, but there was no escaping that icicle-dagger stare! Oh, he had better beware!

"... Shut him up." Never mind the wet clothes, never mind the slight trickling of goop from his injured forehead, this annoyance had to be taken care of, first. Which, of course, he could not bring himself to. Really? Nothing more than a few million microscopic icicles in the form of a stare so lethal, but he released the doll anyway. Not worth messing up Amarante's bathroom over.

So he gets up and looks back into the tub. Luckily nothing got chipped off on the first fall. "I'll clean up," he said anyway, turning off the heaters and trying to coolly do so without getting any more unnerved by the reflections. Eeeshhh..... "Where were these supposed to go?"

"Into the sink," replies the doll, but of course even Erhard knew that was a ridiculous idea.

Her hands soon found her hips, and she'd ended up looking pretty stern herself. "Clearly you're not." Brushing off her concern was one thing, but doing so when it was plain to see there was some merit in it? With a very audible and exaggerated sigh she seemed willing to let it go, but not entirely as she began to clamber to stand up herself. "I'll let you have your way, but surely there must be some way I can help you and--"

Only to come crashing back down again. Not due to any slippery surfaces but because of stated dizziness interfering with her sense of balance. She'd ended up beyond frustrated and there didn't seem to be much that could be said or done about it. "...Hmph." And so, she didn't try to get up again, resigned to sitting upon her weakened legs for a while. Did it even matter? He seemed too caught up in his own tantrum to really be bothered with hers, anyway. Though it looked to have mattered to the rabbits as they cautiously advanced upon their fallen leader with hesitant steps and twitching noses. "...The heaters go in the closet. But really, there are other things that should hold your attention right now." Well, half a dozen or so fuzzy heads nuzzling into her hands could ease off her aggression but not necessarily put an end to it. Stubborn and sour all over!
PostPosted: Thu Mar 19, 2015 6:51 pm

And into the closet they went. No other trouble? No other trouble, good. Except more than one case of falling in the bathroom, now.

"Like what?" piped up the doll, head tilted curiously. "Oh, oh! Go help your girlfriend! Go on! She needs someone to tend to her!" And of course, silenced with another icy stare.

"Here," he gives her his hand, and before the doll goes "Oooooooh! Such a gentleman!" his foot lashes out and sends it skidding across the bathroom floor. Could he not behave properly without having commentary added in for every action he took? Ah well. "I'm really sorry about that. Just don't mind him, he'll only annoy you a lot more."

Speaking of injuries! "How's your head and neck doing? Maybe we could put a warm towel on those?" he asks in all obliviousness as a little more of that gunk dripped down his forehead.

With his assistance she was on her feet, and with slowed and cautious steps she took that hand and led him back to the closet. Hopefully the room wasn't actually spinning vertically as her mind was interpreting it as doing. Was it? No matter. With a twist of the knob and a quick stretch upwards she'd retrieved what she'd brought him over for. She offered forth a package of adhesive wound plasters she hoped he could use. Even if the wound in question was hardly a normal sort of one, and even if he'd ultimately be fine... nope, there was no hiding her worried face as she finally just insisted and pushed the box into his hands. "Your head."

Using the surface of the closet to make an aided approach to one of many settees, she made it over to take a seat as the room continued to tilt within her mind. 'Catching' her head within her hands she slowly looked back up, with a sideways glance towards the doll that eventually made it back to the doctor. Her altered sense of reality seemed to have left her temporarily more candid than usual, as drowsily a curious sort of question made its way out. "Does it bother you, when others say that?" She hadn't been direct. Anything but. It was a vague question scratching the surface of a mostly untouched but obvious subject, though, and she knew it soon after she'd said it. "I... I mean." Arms drawn tightly across her ribs, it seemed that she was more upset with herself for asking rather than because of any of those unsaids.

The usual awkwardness aside, she felt assured by the fact that he seemed to have calmed down. "It wasn't just a joke... I really am quite dizzy." Still said with a laugh and a smile, however weak they might have been. "Surely something must be done about it... is a warm towel what you'd suggest?" A look of both caution and fear surfaced in her eye just then, not forgetting that prior to his freeze over that he'd asked just what had happened. "Did you... did you still want to know where those bruises are from?" Seemed she'd either just decided to cope with the doll being there or had come to the reasoning that he was likely to hear regardless of being in someone else's head or body or not. So much potential chagrin had to be in the works. It'd take a while for her pride and its related inhibitions to regenerate anyway, so it was just as well.

Ooops. Must have forgotten. "Oh. Thank you." He took one and returned her the box, then went back to the bath to retrieve the towel. "Ehhhhh! Noooo! Get off me!" Hmm, what was that noise? Did he step on something? Must have been unimportant. Definitely not important, that wailing. He must be hearing things, yes.

Hey, if he used the towel, wouldn't that mean she would have to burn it? Change of plan then, he took a handkerchief out of his pocket and used that instead. Hmm.... Tapping at the wound, he found it was slightly soft. The outside must have cracked, probably just a fine eggshell-like one. Which didn't need a plaster so much as dusting his hair down to cover it, but he put it on anyway. There. "Now it looks like someone poked you in the third eyeeeeeeeeh.] Did someone say something? Must have been imagining again.

"Say what?" he asks nonchalantly, with the doll still pinned under his foot and wailing for help. Funny, for someone so concerned about others' health, casual violence seemed hardly out of the ordinary for him. Even if he was quick to decry Amarante's own casually violent relationship, even if both parties were capable of sustaining the damages involved?

Oh yeah, that! "Hmm.... Yes. But if it's something you'd rather not talk about, then it's alright not to say." Perhaps the towel she prepared could be used instead. But the hot water.... would turn to cold water if he took the towel without a tray. Hmm. Ah, the drink tray! It'll do, then. A quick trip and back, and the towel's on the tray nice and hot and wet, cardboard getting soaked. Never mind that. Sitting down beside her, he held the towel up to her head. Back first, then, to soothe her dizziness. And perhaps any annoyance from a certain someone scooting over to the rabbit pile to mimic their curious looks.

Seemed that the doll wouldn't be getting any assistance from the latently vicious redhead as her only response was to muffle her laughter with all of a hand hovering over her mouth. All of a hair's width between stress and schadenfreude when it came to the superficial injuries of others. An obscure link that was tolerated was not an extension of love, after all. Her silent admiration continued as she took back the box of plasters and set it aside. The disconnect present in a person that applied both care and cruelty without a second thought inbetween was probably something most might find hypocritical to the point of being disturbing. But Amarante? Naturally that was not the case with her. As a creature driven by instinct more than anything that sort of dissonance only proved to stoke her affections.

Though his questioning her question was something she expected might happen... she still hesitated. It was a poorly fielded question that had ultimately cracked his head open, after all. Perhaps prolonging the answer and trying to ease him into it would help. A delayed truth was better than lies or avoidance, wasn't it? "When they... when they call me that, in an attempt to irritate you." Still quite a ways from being direct, but trying to avoid any further freezing for the time being if she could help it.

Between the vertigo and her usual heavy bias that was firmly in place, it was incredibly simple to forget about a lot of things once the towel was against her head. What doll? What rabbits? Nevermind that said rabbits were circling the doll in question and that motion shouldn't be and wasn't so easily ignored. Eye filled with admiration she could scarcely be bothered with the likes of any of them for the time being. Though eventually that dreamy gaze was broken by the information she'd felt it necessary to relay. "You'd find out eventually, whether it was of my will or not." Eye heavily lidded as she came to her revelation, it almost just felt painful to admit it. "It's him. The other half of the life pact." All of that which was related to choices she hadn't been involved in but somehow still felt shame over anyway. "It was an attempt to pin me in place, to... to make a spectacle of things, once he'd arrived." Something he'd done previously, if how uncomfortable she looked over it was any indication. Though that discouragement that might've lingered in any sort of normal situation just sort of... dissipated. "But I'd already made plans with you, and nothing can interfere with that." So cheerful and dedicated, to the core and down to the very last of her energy. Likely more than enough to make dolls and robots sick, but she didn't care about the likes of them. Merely inconveniences that interfered from time to time!
PostPosted: Sat Mar 21, 2015 11:10 pm

"Irritate? Not a lot, I suppose." Sure, sure. After stepping on that poor doll just a little while ago, sure. "The professor says a lot of strange things. I don't particularly take any of it to heart." Impassive, but then they had put up with each other plus how many, for how long? "Eh, you two are an evil couple. Treating me like some doormat instead of your - ah hey! Okay, not saying anything, nope, nope!" Best to shut up, in case that dark stare was going to mean anything. Maybe it was a good thing the dolly was not around as a separate entity often, for the arguments just might never end!

A 'him'. Well. "Other half? I don't see how inflicting a bruise would cause a spectacle more than a bumpy start to a visit." Whoever this person was, Amarante probably did not like him much? But why was he so quick to judge someone he had never even met? And before anyone blurts out anything....! "But um, if it was something important, then I don't mind cancelling, really." Assuming his arrival was important? Just like him to put everyone else before himself. Probably should not drag her down to his priority spot though. "So please, don't miss anything important because of me!" Maybe one day he might understand that being with him was important to her anyway, but that might just be the day the doll would take things seriously.

Well, at least the doll seems to have resigned to going back to the library and leaving them in peace. Ah yes, the folder! See, put them together and not a minute of study done! Some learning session this turned out to be. Okay, he'd study then! Surely there would be no harm in just pulling out a book from any random shelf! At least, the lowest one. And nearest. And thickest. Who knows how long they would take until someone decided to get their bum moving and hit the books?

She could hardly expect a sentimental sort of answer, being that she hadn't questioned herself over the matter. Touching a hand to her face she looked unexpectedly amused over the matter. ""That'll do. For now." Not taking much irritation from it was far from liking it but certainly a lot better than hating it, too! And he'd ended up saying something about their unwelcome guest, too. "He's some sort of professor? Shishi, I find that hard to believe. Of what?" Both talking about him as if he weren't there and far from being kind about it too. Such nice kids he had to deal with! "Oh~ He almost said something by accident there. He did." But rather than question what that might have been, predictably she ended up caught upon what he'd actually said. "Ah~ I like that idea. The idea of being an 'evil couple,' heh~ There's hardly a need for anything else, as long as I have you." Such deeply romantic drivel she was saying but it was only half of what she was thinking. A wonderful partnership, the king to her queen, and so on.

Touching upon the subject of that other man quickly stripped her of any sugary sentimentalism, to the point of looking starkly unemotional. "Not at all." Just how much she'd have to detail to clarify the unpleasantness between the two of them to him was uncertain. But she'd make an effort to indicate that 'he' was far from a friend. "He has no shame, nor any concept of consent. Concerning me his only interests lie in deception and the fact that I'm durable enough to endure his sadistic tendencies. I'm... I'm glad to escape with only the bruises." Ah, she'd started trembling without realizing it. Maybe it didn't make sense to huddle in close to someone so cold but she'd long since considered the idea of him comforting, cold and all. And even though he'd been just thawed, and even if she knew better... she reached out anyway, limbs still obviously shaking as she did. Carefully taking his face into both of her hands, the words she addressed him with were soft and sweet as the look in her eye was entirely too tender. "Heh. I told you, didn't I? And again, I wonder what it would take to get you to believe me." Only to realize just then she'd set herself up with the perfect opportunity to attempt just that. And with how hazy the outside world was at that moment, only her wish to keep him unfrozen for a while enabled her to release him. That'd be great, freezing him once with ideas and once with actions. And two close calls in all of a few hours. It was exhausting, fighting back just how much she liked him. Better to go back to trying with words for a while. "Your only peer in importance to me is that girl. And heh, you're both too polite to be selfish with me." Both so eager to belittle their own importance to her. It was both amusing and frustrating, how she couldn't understand how they chose to express or rather repress their emotions and why. "Though, you hardly need be, I suppose." There she went again, thinking aloud in a way that was hardly complimentary to herself. With a loose shake of one wrist as if to dismiss her responsibility regarding her own assertiveness, she went a little further. "But you can. Be selfish, with me and my time. Any time you want." Hardly an offer that he was likely to consider or possibly even be capable of doing, so she saw it as necessary to press him just a little more. "So, I'll meet your request with one of my own. Please try to take me seriously, when I say that you're important to me. Because you are. And because I won't stop saying it." There was definitely some sly amusement creeping into her voice just then. He was more likely to get annoyed of her saying it than she was. Ever the stubborn creature and smiling over the very idea of it, too!

The doll leaving was hardly much of a concern for Amarante. But the question of how was a little obscure. The ventilation system? Magic? What? Ehh, whatever. "Hmph. What a callous person. I bet he would have preferred to leave you frozen as he just went about his business." Whoever he was supposed to be. He couldn't be that important, could he? Nope, not much of a concern for the redhead. "Did you want to go back? Though, you're still more than just a little damp. Probably... probably should do something, about that." But just what was a very valid question.
PostPosted: Sun Mar 22, 2015 8:34 pm

Must have been a glitch in the system, that one. An oversight. But not a topic either would wish to dwell on, would they? So, back to thinking about the more important things! Water would dry, but touching books while wet? Oh, he knew better than that! But no, still not using a towel. Handkerchief then, a quick wipe-down of his gloves and head should do, even if it was the oddest thing of just not changing gloves or making his hair all the more a mess. "He would get bored and come back sooner or later. That's just him," he huffs, tightening the ribbon. "Or I'll go pick him up afterwards." Surely someone was getting a little tired of a noticeable drain on the resource. Oh, the doll came back. Via the same glitch, then? Empty-handed and very confused, however.

Ah well, he did not blame her. Hard to believe anything with him, anyway. Before he could reply, though, here comes the obnoxious self-introduction! "Virology!" he proudly proclaimed. "I know, you might be surprised. He is bright, but hardly the easiest student to teach!" Maybe this would be a good time for Erhard to just curl up and die of embarrassment, with that knowing grin on the doll's face. "But he was the easiest to chase for homework! Speaking of that, did I get your last mid-year assignment? I don't think you've handed it u - " Kicked across the bathroom floor again, crashing against the wall with a splat. That was enough, and she did not need to listen to the rest of it.

Ack, she was shivering! It was the cold, was it not? Was he sitting too close? Then why was she grabbing his face? It made no sense.... Oh. Okay, don't freeze, don't freeze! Phew.
"Fair enough. Request accepted." The least he could do was sound less automatic, but then he was still getting used to that idea. Snickering was not helping. Punting a rabbit across to shut him up was not a good idea, these weren't that kind of durable cannon fodder! And he was clever enough to keep far away so there would be no punting of him, either. So the only other thing to do would be pet her nicely on the head, and comfort her, right? ".... He's not here now, he? So you can relax." Should he be saying that now that she gave him one more aspect to worry about? Heh, she would not need to know about that either. Kettle, kettle!

Would it come off as an odd sight for him, seeing someone trembling less as a result of his cold touches? Smitten, so very smitten. And while she was hardly keeping her hands to herself, holding back seemed to have been paying off considerably. She could be close without instantly invoking panic, even to the point of him understanding that she associated physical contact with comfort. There was still a certain distance there but what little he could give meant so much to her. Past heavily-lidded her eye was just shut, seeming to have shut out the rest of the world as well in her advanced state of comfort. "Mm, yes. There is only you." They'd run into 'him' eventually. 'He' would make sure of that. But for the time being, 'he' might as well not have even existed to the likes of her.

That sort of overly romantic moment couldn't ever last as long as she'd wanted, though, abruptly ended by having her inquiry unexpectedly answered. "Eeh, when did you come back?" The sharp look she shot at the doll was softened by the questions her mind was starting to put together. "A virologist within a plague. That's rather nice, isn't it." A little too coincidental, but she didn't feel obligated to press them for answers. She returned her attention to Erhard, looking quite doubtful. "Though what you could learn from him, I wouldn't know." So quick to make heavy-handed assumptions based on the doll's goofy nature, the very same of which happened to herself quite often. Of course she considered her problem to be entirely different even though it was completely the same!

Moment cut short and companion looking a little more dry, again she brought up the idea of returning to their original intention. "Ready to go try to study again, then?" Her hopes apparently weren't all that high when it came to expecting some peace and quiet. Just as well. "You'd be hard-pressed to leave without me, I mean." Right, she could probably go about explaining that unusual tidbit about where they were that she hadn't bothered with previously. "That is the only way out, and that only leads to my room." A door of which she was practically beside herself aching to take him through it even if all she'd end up with was the sight of him in her room. Doing her best to ignore that lingering crazed feeling she got to the heart of the matter. "This floor is closed off from the rest of the house. Rather inconvenient when it comes to say, maintenance, but convenient for your purposes. I mean. No one comes up here, so any contagion-related worries might be lessened, perhaps?" Even if it was downright impossible to assuage away his very valid fears regarding all of that, she was still trying her best to be nice. "Though I'd still do my best to sanitize, as I'd said." Well, she'd specifically said she'd sanitize herself, but no need to remind him of that; having just frozen him over and all, thanks to a not completely unrelated idea. But it wasn't as if she'd slack off on the other things either. His concerns were taken very seriously, after all. All that settled within her mind, she offered a slow nod. "Whenever you're ready... and I suppose that is coming too." Violence out of one, petulance out of the other. The doll had his work cut out for him when it came to the likes of the 'evil couple.' Well, wasn't as if he could do any harm in the library. While there was a plentiful assortment of antiquated and rare books, there wasn't anything the doll could get himself into trouble with. She suddenly felt quite thankful that those tentacled minions were as thorough as they were about making sure of just that.
PostPosted: Mon Mar 23, 2015 8:35 pm

Hold that tongue before it corrected her! Yeah, she was enjoying it, and of course she did not have to see the daggers shooting at the grinning doll to make up for whatever discomfort her words meant. Stupid internal auto-correct. Okay, that was enough, it would be very odd to continue the petting after her moment was over.

The doll did a little twirl, failed and banged against the wall again. "I'm always here! Not always listening, but always here!" he laughs, head flopping backwards in a show of mock gravity-defying drama. "Besiiides, I at least know to stick around my mistakes, right? Oh, what would you do without me, Erhard?" With all the parental dedication he could muster, but it was just barely enough to deflect the incoming cotton bullets! "Do you really want to have that conversation again, Professor?" Did the doll take the hint? No? "You're going to have to tell her one day. One day! Or maybe it's not a good thing, I might just have to deal with two people smacking me everywhere instead of o - " "We have already established this. The outcome of that phenomena was not. Your. Fault." Certainly, the accusing tone in the medic's voice was hardly missed! "But I made it~ You can't accuse me of not causing at least quite the catastrophe!" So insistent, enough to give the medic a vein on his head. What else to do but grumble while the doll laughingly celebrated his win?

But it was time to go. No need to dawdle in the bathroom any longer, they had still studying left to do! "Okay, let's go back to the study - hey!" Pushing past them both and running as fast as those stubby legs can carry him, the doll skidded to a halt in front of the door, shooting them both the biggest, cheekiest smile he could. "And you're going to turn her down after she just said that? Really? Come now, don't kid us! You know you want to~" With the same pleading look as a child wanting to see a magic trick, and no the expression totally did not fit.

Only to have Erhard turn around straight away and busy himself picking up all the rabbits instead. ".... Ama. Please do remember to give this room a scrub, as well as the library afterwards. And your pets." Someone could do trapeze tricks on his tone, with the amount of strain put on it. But hey, a little reminder would not hurt anyone. Who was supposed to be doing the nagging in this relationship again? "Ah... You're ignoring me again..." Strange, he made the weirdest decisions. He could have put the doll away by now, but nope. Not even requesting for a little privacy to not unnerve her with non-human tendencies? But instead he would rather the loudmouth continue with his escapades.

Reflexively that fluffy-haired head of hers ended up hanging yet again, exaggerated as ever as her chosen method of expressing her unintentionally comedic grief. "Can't let me forget that for a moment, can you~" Though certainly resigned in nature what she'd said was surprisingly more light rather than discouraged. With a careful tilt of her head she looked back up at Erhard again. "You've a curious relationship with that fellow, haven't you? Though curiouser and curiouser, getting a professor in one's head to begin with." No use asking the hows and whys she'd already questioned previously, so she hadn't bothered. Though in her mind a certain parallel seemed to have finally connected, eye wide for a moment and looking past him before shifting back into that sleepy and relaxed look that went very well with her knowing smile. "There are definitely stranger things to share a mindspace with, surely." Which of them had the less believable occurrence of the two of them, she wondered. That two such people would end up meeting was hardly believable in the first place. Coincidence, but not. Whatever it was, she'd take it. Though the further ramifications of the situation became irritatingly clear in that moment, resulting in an addition to the doll's collection of eye daggers in the next instant. "If you watch anything you're not supposed to, I won't forgive you." What use there'd be in making sulky sort-of threats towards someone that was likely to be quite used to them was uncertain, but she'd felt the need to present her intention regardless of how it'd end up received.

The joke was on Amarante, though, as all of a few vague but careful words from that doll had her all in a tizzy. Surely he couldn't be trusted. Wouldn't he just say things on the spot to agitate and embarrass them? But the possibility of those words having even the slightest bit of truth to them was intoxicating. Did he... ? Well. She certainly couldn't ask, being that the generalized version of the subject had prompted quite the glacial reaction just a short while ago. Some other time. No hurry, right? Simple enough to assure away her frayed nerves. Not as simple to try to hide the wild-eyed ruddy face she was sporting as a result from her guests.

As a result, Erhard's decision to disregard and overlook the doll for a while was one that Amarante was eager to accept. "Mm, of course! I'll do my best and more." Sanitation was certainly an odd sort of subject to seek approval over but there wasn't the slightest bit of care about that evident in her cheery response. Finding her feet upon resteadied legs, she reopened the path in the same manner as before. While it wasn't a special endeavor for her, she made the effort to obviously gesture with both arms towards what she'd done anyway. "This way please~" Any stray rabbits would again be drawn to the glowing circle of energy as she courteously waited for the others to make their way through. Yes, even the doll.

He could take her word for it, right? So might as well be at ease about it. Now, line up in a row like good little rabbit-duckling-dolls, and follow the leader through! Yeah, now back in the library, this time without er... problems.

"Hmm. Why do you say that?" asked the doll, kicking the folder to Erhard before he could pick up his drink. "Do you have someone else boarding in there too? Oh, oh, you never told me she could make a tiny person in her head too, Erhard!" Poor guy, he had to deal with two people's worth of absurd ideas. "Is he watching too? Even all the sappy bits? Hello there! Hellooooo - " Nonchalantly smacked flat under the thick folder with a huff from his student.

With that out of the way! Leaving the doll to wriggle his way out from under the folder, the medic went to peruse the shelves himself instead. Looking for a book that might help in general, not necessarily about logic and logical fallacies, was it? Don't trip over any curious fluffballs, now. But then he dared not to ask any of the library's assistants either. Ah, what to do. "About the books... You mentioned there was something that might help? Even if it's the remotest topic." Nobody said this research was easy. Already prepared to peruse through a pile if he had to, then? If he had the time. If he was that lucky.

What an attentive doll he was! Maybe she'd take that into consideration, maybe not. Probably not. She'd likely speak the same as always, just with the added benefit or detriment of her tricky wording being questioned more often. With a careful step or so back into the library and her expression curious, she didn't hesitate in answering what she'd been asked. Mostly. "In a manner of speaking." Was it still considered being polite if she answered kindly and calmly but her attention was far from who she was speaking to? "The presence comes, and it goes. If it is in fact there at all." Still not actually paying the doll any mind, and still with only eyes, well, eye for the doctor. "My memory has been tampered with more than once. I can only assume that the vulnerable state of my mind led to such a situation." Though she had to show what she could manage of a headshaking at the last part. "Most of the time I don't care to shield my sights. But I'm perfectly capable of maintaining my privacy." Hey. He'd simply ignored her petulant little command, hadn't he? "...I meant what I'd said." Because an annoyed verbal push complete with a pout would make so much of a difference.

Keeping that eye upon Erhard as much as she could, she conceded to finally making it to an actual seat in the back of the library. A number of rabbits trailed behind her, and the cats were sure to vocalize a greeting as they came close and ultimately sat across the way. With a bit of a grin she leaned down and pulled out a book that'd been deliberately left on one of the built-in shelves of the tables. "Heh. Mostly, I'd wanted you to see what a striking woodcut I make." She'd inserted a bookmark with the intentions of showing him and everything. A rather uninventive and vain sort of ambition, but she didn't consider simple self-serving intentions as anything bad. After taking a moment to look over the embossed cover and aged binding, she set it on top of the table itself. "Though the book itself is outdated and yet somewhat still useful, as stated. But if you'd meant something else, then... " Hilariously enough she was eager to offer just what he was reluctant to ask after, bringing forth one of her minions with all of a twirl of her index finger. "Why not take one of my friends for a spin?" The miniature form of the creature in question looked up at her with its beady eyes, four arms and many tentacles tensing as it waited for some sort of order to be issued. One of those would be much more useful than herself for his particular text-seeking purposes, even if she hadn't been willing to admit it previously. A creature comprised of tentacles, wings, and an unending thirst for knowledge taking her credit and attention? How absurd! But... she was pretty battered from earlier and even less useful for the subject at hand as a result. And perfectly willing to take advantage of just that. "You could even sit here and have it bring you whatever you like, provided you're all right with the side of your arm being used as a pillow." Ever the opportunist, and so casual in how she went about it too!
