He sighed and looked down at his hands trying to become more comfortable with the mana that he could feel inside him, that was the last thing he heard, perhaps this would help him understand how to use this for fighting or the white for what ever it was for.

I nod to The Mentor. I pick up the stone that contains the red mana and attempt to extract it and turn it into a ball of fire.

I wonder, why do yellow and green mana seem so prevalent, why cant I sense any of the others? I open my eyes, trying to bring the mana sense in as well as my sight, to see if I could see what around me seemed to show which kind of mana.

I pick up the Rabbit and name is Casey. That was a cute human name, right? And definately not a reference to something that references a Nic Cage movie! I walk over to the other circle that the Mentor pointed to, ready to get some more advanced training.

Krin: Even with your eyes open, you can still clearly sense the different colors of mana flowing inside of you. In their natural state, they blend together and intertwine as they move through you. It doesn't really feel uncomfortable at all, like it's just a normal aspect of your body you never pay attention to, kind of like breathing and blinking. If the mana is something that has always been with you, then maybe it'll take more than just your instincts and thoughts to do anything with it.
Neeché: By moving all of your own red mana into your hand, you are able to get the mana in the stone to start coming out of it. The closer your hand is to it, the quicker it comes out. Once you have a decent amount extracted, you focus on the thought of creating a fireball. As if responding simply to your thoughts, you feel the air in front of your hand's palm heat up as the red mana manifests as a fireball. It seems to be like any other fire, except that it is existing of it's own accord instead of relying on having fuel to burn like an actual fire. Overall, it isn't a very big ball, just a bit smaller than your hand, which it seems to be connected to as it flows along with you whenever you move your hand. "Good work." The Mentor says. "Now, try to keep that form for a bit and close your eyes. Can you detect anything special about that fire?"
Valden: When you open your eyes, it becomes harder to detect the mana, as it no longer feels like you can see the colors of it on the black backdrop of your eyelids, however, a sort of sixth sense tells you that it is still there and you can faintly detect even the color of the yellow mana in the air as well as the green mana in the ground. As for why these two colors seem so prevalent, the only thing that hints to it is the colors direct correlation with the elements. Perhaps it is simply because their is so much air and earth in your present location. Looking around, you can't really detect much else, as your ability to sense mana is still very short, having maybe only a 2 yard radius.
Mystra: You follow The Mentor over to the firing range and stand at a station right next to where Neeché has just arrived. he explains to Neeché the nature of this set up, which you are able to hear clearly although it isn't directed at you. There are six special stones set up at each station. They are all oval shaped and have intricate designs etched into them, and they are colored to correspond with the six colors of mana. He picks up one of Neeché's stones and begins explaining. "These are special stones that have been designed to hold and produce a very large amount of mana of a certain color. It should be easy for you now to detect it. Each one contains mana of it's corresponding color. Almost everyone has an affinity for one or two different kinds of mana, so pick whichever color or colors resonate with you most and practice with them. Right now, we're starting with basic manifestation and target practice. Each color of mana can be easily converted into it's corresponding physical form, such as fire for red mana or water for blue mana. So, what I'd like you to do is pick a color to work with, extract that mana from the corresponding stone, manifest it into a physical form, and try projecting the resulting spell at one of the targets down range. Understood?" He says to her when he then notices that you have walked up. "Oh, Mystra, did you catch all that?" He asks you as he moves so that he is in between you and Neeché.

I close my eyes as I continue to move my hand around a bit. I focus on the fire, trying to sense anything special about it. My werewolf side flashes through my head, causing me to jump. But even so, I maintain my control as best I can over the mana. "I...I don't know, sir," I say. "But my werewolf side came to the forefront of my mind...does that mean anything?"

After I remember the Mentors earlier explanation of mana color and elemental correlation, the presence of only those two types of man's in a easily sensible quantity makes sense. I stand as I look around at the other students, quickly realizing I cant seem to sense even the closest of them, showing I only seemed to be able to sense a few yards away at most. However, I notice that several of the students seem to be gathering nearby at some sort of stations nearby. Since I seem to have reached near the end of what I can do without some practicing, I head over to the stations, leaving my mana sense on as I walk, looking to see what I would see.

He sighed and looked down, he knew his sister could have done this with out a problem, he continued to just sit down placing his hands on the ground, he realized how much better it could have been if his sister had lived and not him, he decided to try one more time for his sister's sake and slowly just try to sense the mana that he felt in his body just anywhere that would feel the easiest to use to manipulate.

"Yup! Swipe up a green stone, use it to channel some point rocks, and shoot them at a target?" I ask enthusiastically.

Neeché: "That is most likely because your werewolf side is helping you control mana." the Mentor states calmly. "Red mana is an embodiment of fire and responds greatest to primal instincts, which is also what werewolves embody as well. Essentially, the emotions of your werewolf side and the red mana are resonating, with the mana bringing out the werewolf within you and the werewolf bringing out the power of the red mana.
Valden: When you approach the area where the other students are gathered, you see that each of the stations there have 6 special stones set up at them. The stones are oval shaped and have intricate designs etched in them, with each stone being a different color, directly corresponding to a color of mana. Right now, the only open stations are 3 to the right of where two students (Mystra and Neeché) are being talked to by The Mentor.
Krin: As you focus on where in your body is best for manipulating mana, you feel the mana inside you start to flow into your hands. It separates as it flows, with green mana going into your left hand and the white mana going into right hand.
Mystra: "Certainly, if you're sure you want to work with green mana." The Mentor replies.

"If I'm sure? You mean the color that I channelled isn't the final choice? Can I mix and match them, use more than one? Is this point in training when we have to make the choice" I ask the instructor, looking the the stones once more. Green seemed a fit, but overspecialization was a dangerous thing in Tyira, so having otpions might not be a bad thing...

I shake my head a bit. "Wow, I...think I get it..." I say. "So you're kind of saying that I need my werewolf side in order to make this work?"

He slowly focused once again on the green mana, and placed it to the ground, green meant earth, so he mainly tried to put it to grass and dirt, concentrating to try and feel the mana within the dirt and ground not wanting to take things to fast as he did, knowing that would only get him frustrated.

(I finally have my internet, it's great. No more going to starbucks just so I can connect.)
I glance at the students the Mentor is chatting with. One of them was interesting looking, since she seemed to be made of some sort of plants. The other seemed to just be another of those odd aliens that seemed to make up a decent amount of the students here, the ones that looked like some of the Silvarians. This one looked a bit more on edge then the rest though, more feral. I step over to the unoccupied station immediately next to them, letting my newfound mana sense sweep over the colored stones in front of me before I touch them.

Mystra: "You are free to use any kind you wish. But for now, I'd suggest sticking with one that appeals to you." The Mentor says.
Neeché: "Need is a bit of a strong word for this situation." The Mentor replies. "But the werewolf is helping you, making it easier for you to control red mana than it would be for most others."
Krin: When you touch the ground and the grass, you can sense it's mana more clearly. While both were mainly comprised of green mana, the grass also contained traces of blue and yellow mana in it, and the ground also contained traces of red mana. As you keep your hand touching the ground with all of your green mana focused in it, you feel the green mana from the ground flow out of it and envelop you hand.
Valden: You can easily sense that each of the stones contains a very high concentration of a single color of mana. The stones are physically colored with the same color of mana inside of them. Other than that, the stones don't seem all that special, as if they are just some sort of mana batteries. When you touch them, you can physically feel a tingling, pulling sensation coming from the stones due to how much mana is concentrated inside of them. Shortly after you arrive, The Mentor steps towards you. "Hello, Valden. I see you're already interested in these stones." He says. "Let me explain their purpose. Each of these stones has a large concentration of a single color of mana inside them, which should be easy to detect. We'll be using them for our next lesson on manifesting mana, since the easiest form of magic is to manifest mana into its physical element, such as fire for red mana or water for blue mana. Everyone tends to have one or two colors that they feel a strong affinity for, so for now, I'd like you to pick a color to work with and try extracting the mana from the stone of that color. Then try to manifest it into a physical form and fire the spell downrange at one of the targets. Understood?"
