Nope, a noun is a person, place, thing or idea. A proper noun is for one of those in particular and you would use a capital letter, i.e., Teddy Roosevelt, England, Eiffel Tower or Uncertainty Principle. A (non-proper) common noun is a a group, i.e., presidents, countries, monuments or scientific theories. Does that clear up the clue? sweatdrop
