Malachai drank about half of his cup within the first gulp, chomping down on two more cookies after he swallowed. Good food, good company, good home, bad timing. Oh well, three out of four was just about good enough for him. He looked at Arya and Kai then, putting down his cup as he relaxed, raising an eyebrow before holding up his hands when Kai asked what. "I did nothing! I am innocent." He joked, breaking into a grin after a moment.

"What?" Arya asked in return, looking to her brother with brief confusion before chuckling. "Always the joker." She nudged him in the side with her elbow, not really doing much against the metal plates around his abdomen. "I'm just thinking is all..... and if you keep eating them at that pace, there won't be any left." She pointed out to Kai with a light poke in the forehead.

Natasya grinned, giggling as she kissed his cheek quick as she heard Zera snort, looking up with a warm smile. She took his data pad, watching her own disappear in a pocket of light where she could pull them out anytime since she knew at some point she would show her klutzyness and drop it. She glanced up to Sherad, wondering how he'd answer.

Jessica's eyes darted from the tree that was ripped from the ground back up to Brother Mathias, waiting for his answer having witnessed what she meant. "Thank you Brother Mathias, it is appreciated." She said softly, bowing her head to him out of respect even if she was his superior and ward.

Priya walked out of Jessica's home, all of the files sorted and laid out for her to review when she got the chance. She paused as she walked by one tree, looking up into the branches, her violet eyes glancing among the boughs before coming to rest where Tanya was perched, saying nothing to her since she guessed that the demon didn't want to draw attention to herself. Brushing her silvery hair back, she watched from where she was, taking note at how things were a bit less tense between Jessica and Brother Mathias which was certainly for the better. Otherwise the likelihood of mutiny increased at a rate she didn't like at all. She had changed while in the house, wearing some jeans, a tank top and a black leather jacket. Touching her earring, she wanted to report really quick to Jessica. "The files are ready for your review Doctor. I will be around if you need me. Nighthawk out." She made sure her voice wasn't too loud so as to draw attention, making a quick round of the area to be sure that there hadn't been anymore accidents that they didn't know about.

Tanya watched as the one of the human researchers, she thought it was the one Natasya had talked about, Priya, came near her tree. The human saw her too, but didn't say anything, so neither did Tanya. She soon looked back toward the marines to continue watching, but she also thought about the woman. She was still interesting to the demon, her eye color was one of the things that had caught her attention. There was something different about her to be sure, even compared to Jessica.

Kai grinned widely, with a glint in his eyes. Before Ayra could protest he'd leaped up and spun her around in a big bear hug. After making sure she was throughly dizzy, Kai planted her feet safely on the ground. "Cookies are a man's best friend. Especially cookies made by angels! BYE!" he said happily, disappearing in a gust of air with his cookies.

Kai flew with the air out of Ayra's house. He turned with the wind, heading toward the human's. As he got closer he saw the destruction they had caused. With a sad sigh he materalized as he landed by the destroyed trees. "Shhhh... It's okay... I should have remembered hw destructive and violent they can be... But don't worry... I'll help..." he whispered to the trees. Standing up straight from where he had been crouched next to one of the feld trees. Taking a deep breath Kai lifted his arms and moved the earth back, pushing the trees well away from where the marines could cause them harm. For good measure he crounched and placed his hands on the ground, raising a gently rising barrier between the humans and the surrounding forest. Just gradual enough where most of them wouldn't notice. Still crounched, Kai closed his eyes and concentrated. "Heal brothers..." he breathed in a whisper as he pushed his powers out and toward the now distant trees, righting them and healing the gashes and broken branches. Sighing tiredly, Kai straightened slowly and stretched with a yawn as he gazed at the clear sky.

Kai's ears perked as he felt the trees rustle as someone passed through them. Sighing he plopped onto the side of the hill and looked up at the sky, waiting for whoever it was to announce themselves. "They have no need to. I only did what I could to help." he said turning his head to look at the new comer.

"They're just a young race. Unable yet to control what we have for centuries." he said softly, glancing down as the newcomer land a hand on his shoulder. "Thank you." he said, glancing up at her as he felt some energy return to him. "I'm afraid the trees have left me at a disadvantage... They told you my name, but I don't know yours." he stated gazing up at the newcomer.

"Well, Alethea. I wouldn't do that." Kai said, materialzing out of the air next to her. "Thery're a bit jumpy about us."
