Haha, yeah.
I'm trying to find one for my sister for Christmas...you know, larger than small type of snails. but most of the bigs ones are from Africa...and therefore illegal in Canada.
Trying to find a list or something of snails that aren't illegal here.

I know they are invertabrates. adn that they leave slime trails and have those two little antenna things. but that's it.

I also know if you poke them in the eye, they suck it in.
However I did not know a snail could be illegal...seriously, it's a snail...what's so dangerous about it? Grab some salt if there's a problem.
What about one of those water living snails? Those get pretty good sized and are standard fish tank goodies.

Hahaha. yeah it wouldn't be so hard if she wanted a water snail. My brother is an aquarium enthusiast and knows a bunch of breeds. But Lin wants a Land snails, cause those are the only ones with the eye stalks.
HAHAHA, African land snails are huge! They can get as large as your hand, if they were to get loose and breed in North America, they wold devastate the vegetation here.
We're gonna get her a water snail if that be the case, but I just thought I'd check ^^
