And with Lord of the Rings, I always imagined the elves to have elongated and pointy ears...yet...The hobbits have the same damn length ears (relatively) as the elves. WTF!
And Harry Potter movies? Where the ******** is Peeves?

Meit Grigori Is it that big of a deal? Movies of books most of the time are screw ups, like the Harry Potters movies! Takes me 1 to 3 days to read any of the books and they can't make it awesome as pie! How dare they insult me with that rubbish they call a movie. To be fair, Harry Potter was screwy as a book, so the movies are bound to be.... meh at best.

TJ...did you ever read the books, or are you going by what so many other people have said about it?
Peeves..that is true, he's a note worthy character. More so in the fifth book from what I remember.... I haven't read that one in a long time, I don't have acess to it here. ><; Though Peeves isn't as big of a character as say... some of the other ghosts. The ghosts, besides Nearly Headless Nick, and Moaning Myrtle are two of the main ghosts.

Peeves played a good sized roll in the second book as well, what with Harry being suspected to be the Half-Blood prince or whatever. There were a few other differences, but I don't remember what they were. XD

That is true, he did go around bouncing off walls shouting something along the lines of, "Potty murder ---." XD He was good at starting rumors... Made they thought he wasn't worth the money...

Nah. They just felt like pissing off countless children by excluding Peeves from the movies.

I can't wait for the last book of the Wheel of Time series. ^_^
Odds are it's going to be a giant of a book, seeing as the 11th book leaves so much unfinished. The author, Robert Jordan has even threatened to make it a 2000 page book if he has to. He's determined to finish it in one book.

Sorry I snoozed off there for a bit ladies and gents! ^^;
Rose, go for it. WoT ftw.
TJ... don't knock HP if you haven't read it. Even then, don't knock it. They're a book series that made millions of children worldwide get into reading, they've revolutionized reading in elementary and middle schools in ways that are and can only be positive. If you haven't read it, I suggest you try. If you have, consider that its done far more good for the world than the vast majority of other things you dislike.

Oh, I know. It's going to be...omg, so good. X3 I can't wait to sink my teeth into it..as a matter of speaking.
Cole, good. I didn't know if it was over the top to much...or if that wasn't quite what should happen and such. Thanks. ^^

HP blows for the same reason any other unrealistic novel series does.
The moment they go Narnia style, or the transformers movie style, and start actually killing off characters and dealing with death and loss and such as it'd really happen, I'll take a more avid interest.
And no, those 2-3 people that died over the course of like 7 books doesn't count. xp
Oh well, I hope for too much from a children's series.

Mmm, well seeing that is directed towards children and not adults... that does mean that there's not too much killing and such. If you want fights, read Sword of Truth or Wheel of Time.
