The doctor turned around and looked at the individual who called his name.
"The Captain is not here, and I'm not to leave the ship. Dr. Morgan is about town collecting the wounded. I don't know why you've returned to the ship unless you were told to by the Captain, but I don't think you were since your expecting to find him today. In any case, I have already committed one act of mutiny on this day. I will not commit another by leaving ship. I refuse to run from my punishment, and that's exactly what leaving would be seen as."
Baxter looked at him curiously. He still didn't know why this individual had returned to ship. In fact the very sight of him here disgusted the doctor.
"Also, you said your men were wounded, and you left them behind! What sort of leader are you? You should never have abandoned your men. What if some redcoats were to find them?"
The doctor turned in disgust and began to walk away grumbling to himself, "I may have committed a mutiny in trying to keep the Captain here, but I have never abandoned people in need. Such actions are despicable."

Dr. Morgan wandered the streets of Toulon in a fashion that a casual observer mught have deemed random, but to someone watching from high above the town it would have been apparent that he never skipped a street. He passed many dead bodies, stopping to check them as he went, and a few live ones as well. These he tended to to the best of his ability and either left with their handkercheifs as a flag or sent off to the waterfront, depending on the extent of their wounds. After some time, he came across a place where it looked as though a major skirmish had occurred. There were bodies strewn everywhere, with most with red coats but some with the simple wear of a pirate.
"What happened here?"
Checking all those around him, he found none alive. Disheartened by the sight of so many dead, the doctor set off down the street once more. He had covered most of the city by this time, and was anxious to make his rounds for the injured he had flagged.

*Landing the craft ashore, the Captain wrung out his coat and placed it back over his shoulders. Helping the wee' miss out of the longboat, he turned to he turned and at a quick pace, began to march back into the City of Toulon. Bodies strewn everywhere, he tried his best as not to dishonour the dead by stepping on them. An arm here, a leg there... it was not a sight for a weak stomach. Hoping that the little girl behind him would try to watch where she stepped, he continued up the steep grade towards the Citadel... As he walked, he came to a realization.* I FORGOT THE SHIP'S PENNANCE!!! DAMN BLASTED!*Turning to Omi, he pulled a quill, ink & parchment from his pocket, he jotted a note to her and desperatley pressed it into her hands.* It read: Quote: Wee' Miss:~ I have been absent-minded and have forgotten the Ship's Pendant, or rather the Ship's flag upon the Ship. It is located in a large chest within my quarters. Might you be so kind as to return to the Ship and fetch it for me? It would be greatly appreciated. I'd do it myself, but you know I can't. ~:Captain J. K.:~ *With that, he smiled hopefully at her*

*She looked at Miss Ares trying to listen carefully at what she said as her duties were now to be decided, at the moment by the woman. Instead of hearing chores right away, her comment about weapons specialist aboard the boat as well as that of her being a siren made her realize she should simply keep her mouth shut. She may be stubborn and her temper may flare, but she's not stupid. She knew better to say anything to Miss Ares. At the mention of her poor skills though, she got red about the face but had figured out by now that this woman was no person to argue with. Especially in her position, so she instead bit her tongue than say anything to upset this woman.
Upon hearing that she could relax instead of work, she leaned back against a barrel on the quarterdeck and started to close her eyes. The first time in 2 days time she had been able to just sit. Maybe being caught wasn't as bad as she had thought. They at least allowed her to relax a little bit. And she did deserve to be in shackles, she wasn't successful in getting off the ship with her items. She grimaced a bit about her interaction with the Doctor, the pistol, his rummaging through her pouch and removing her picks (both hidden on her and in the bag) and her ring. She had just started to reach back to her pouch for her items when Miss Ares' last comment caught her attention and pulled her back to the present moment*
"Ex....excuse me, what did you say?" she stuttered as she reached up to her cheeks and felt warm blood slipping down her cheeks and neck. Horrified, she looked back and forth at Miss Ares and the Doctor, with tears starting to form in her eyes.*

With everything else going on, the doctor simply had not noticed the injury to the captive's ears.
"It's a miracle you can still hear. Dr. Morgan will have to look you over when everything is said and done. I know nothing about ears. for not clean yourself up and put these in your ears."
The doctor said this while producing a rag and some wadding. He handed them to the girl.

Don' worry, lass. It happens to everyone that hears a Siren's scream. You'll still be able to hear, or you should be able to. *she scoots closer to the girl and helps her out with wiping of the blood, since her shackled hands could not reach well. She took the rag and wiped it off her neck, and moved up towards her ears. She took a piece of wadding and stuck it in her ear, to catch the blood. She did the same on the other side* You should be fine, dear. Don' worry. *She ripped a clean piece from the rag, cutting it with her talon, that raised from her finger, and then went away quickly after the job was done. She wiped away the girl's tears.* No cryin' now, dear. It's alright. Just sit back and relax. Breathe. You'll be fine....that's it...

*She looked up at the Doctor as he handed her the rag and wadding, wanting to thank him but she was too embarassed with all the events that happened to even speak. Her face fell and shook her head slowly. What a miserable mess she turned out to be. Being chased to this city because of something she, for once, did not do. More than a whole day on the move without sleep or rest, and little food as well. Next, losing track of time aboard the boat attempting to pick and steal the Doctor's items, then being humiliated as her items were pilfered from her at her discovery and being shackled for her punishment. Then there was all the work she was force to do twice and finally being above deck, passing out at the siren's call and now looking as if both her ears had been badly boxed. She began to sob quietly, everything all catching up with her at once.
She heard Miss Ares try to console her, and she looked up as the woman came closer, taking the rag from her hands and wiping the blood from the sides of her neck and then further up to her ears. She winced slightly at the wadding being stuffed into her ears. They hurt more than she had realized.
Upon seeing the claw extend to cut a spare piece of fabric, she opened her eyes wide and inched back a little. But the very second she had started to move back, the fabric had been cut and the talon was gone. Instead of malice and a possible attack she feared from that brief second, she was suprised to be met with a soothing hand as Miss Ares wiped the tears from her face.
Half hearing the woman, her ears now stuffed with wadding, she noticed her motion her to sit back and try to settle her nerves. With a heavy sigh and biting back a few last tears, she leaned back against the wall and began to close her eyes. And as she laid there against the wall, she uttered something, only just loud enough for both the Doctor and Miss Ares to hear.*
"I'm sorry for all the trouble I've caused you... Doctor... My name is... Jaden... Kale." and with another heavy sigh, she fell into a light slumber.

*she muttered to herself, seeing that the girl had fallen asleep and wouldn't hear her anyway, with the wadding in her ears.* Jaden Kale...what a beautiful name. *she looks towards the doctor, trying to read his reaction* What do you think will happen to her?

"I've no idea what will become of her. I caught her on the medical deck; more specifically in my quarters rummaging through my belongings. She does have some skill considering she was able to open my footlocker. Her fate, as is mine, is in the hands of the Captain."
The doctor grabbed a lock of his hair and began to twist it as he thought.

*Reading the note quickly, she looked up at him.*
So he can't hear anymore, then, she thought. 's a good thing I can read...
*Grinning, she nodded fervently, and turned back around, making sure that she didn't step on anyone- what if there was someone still alive down there?!- and ran back toward the longboat, the note clenched tghtly in her hand.*

((sorry I've been gone for so long I had to house and cat sit for a week...)) *Realising the battle had been won, his eye's went back to normal, he sheathed his swords, wiped the blood from his mouth and looked at the bullet hole in his shirt* "Damn I was so close to getting through that unwounded too."

AsDestiny hauled another cartful of wounded towards the waterfront, she noticed a girl with a note in her hand running quickly towards the boats. " Hey there, do you want a lift? Why are you in such a hurry? Whats on the note? Can I help with anything" Destiny gestured towards the parchment piece in the girl's hand.

-With a start, she opened her eyes and glanced about sketchedly. Rotten luck, she'd fallen asleep in the middle of a battle, how she managed that, it was a mystery. Looking around her and down onto the deck, she asumed they had won. With a lazy yawn, she quickly scurried down onto the deck.-

((Welcome Back, Miss Sparrow. I Take It You Accomplished Your Life's Goal?))
*Whilst he waited, the Captain turned and looked about the dead. Realising he was low on funds and had nothing better to do, he began to pilpher the pockets of the Dead. The way he saw it, as long as they recieved the ceremonial two coins on each of their eyes, they wouldn't mind too much.*
Wood Trinket... Tar Candy... Thread... Oooh, Coin Purse. Bingo.
*Dumping the coins into his hand, he preceeded in placing two coins in the eyes of each body that lay dead upon the ground. These coins would be to pay the toll for the Boatman. In turn, the Boatman would take the Men across the river Styxs to the Gates of Judgement.
Running out of coins, he then went back to searching for another purse.*
...Pocket Fid... Journal... Hankercheif... Eww, dead rat... Eww...

*Hearing someone address her, she started. Not looking the lady who had talked to her in the face, she fidgeted.*
"Umm, I was asked to go to the ship and, umm, fetch something..." she said nervously. *She checked the note.* "The Captain asked me..."
