We did a path orient/rotatoe/ease in and out/ fade and hold exercise first, then it was cut out walking and movement, and now we're doing traditional drawn stuff. Various runs/walks/jumps/ect. Apparently according to my professor, I'm being an over acheiver.
I just like seeing my characters move in time and space, dang it!

That first part sounds like flash, or similar program. It is pretty exciting, although I never used any characters from here. Too busy creating new ones, like always. It's addicting, seeing your characters move. http://www.animationnb.com/08/hyerkie/ check out the flash section with the walking velociraptor. One of my best character designs. Besides the kid who's actually riding the dino.

Adobe After Effects, actually. We threw flash out the window or something.
Awesometastic flesh rending dinos rock.
*shrugs* I have an affinity for my characters and I figured since I'm just starting into my animation that I better use familiar ones.

After effects, very handy. There are after effects jobs for every movie, :p I watch the credits. Plus it looks awesome on a resume. The only thing I didn't like about it was that sometimes it took 10 minutes to render, and sometimes 2-4 hours for the same file...but we DID have crappy computers.
And thanks!
If your that familiar with them, then yeah that's a good call. ^^

I'm in love with it. Render times are pretty fast for us, though we use last gen macs. I fricking hate macs so I'm bias though and may be trying to ease my pain with lies.
Piper gets to star in my practice crap and my little final thing at the end of semester. Yay excitment.
Though this weekend I have to sit down and photoshop, sequence, nest, and render two things for Tuesday. My brain show explode with overworked-ness and glee.

We only had PC's for After Effects, ones that were too low on RAM to boot. Only five macs in the whole building. Just terrible.
Wish i had a mac right now, ooo it would make my life so much easier.

Out of all the nifty PS things, I only use it for digi painting.
Screw mac, my PC works just as well if not better.

I dunno, I haven't had half he problems on te macs that I've had the PCs. Actually...I haven't had any problems.
Plus they are industry standards. My sister (graduated from Film and television production last June) laughs at me when I tell we used PCs. And the instructor I got last year (Just retired from animation, hurt her wrist from over working, 10 years in flash) Didn't even know how to use a PC.

I have more problems with macs. And when mac does have a problem, you never know what the hell it is and just have to hard boot the whole system.
I say if you get the right PC with the right amount of power, you're good to go.

That's why most things are going dual OS. Best of both I suppose.

Why not? ^^
My first laptop will probably be a pc though. It's much cheaper and i need a new comp BAD.
It sucks though, if i were in the states, i could get a decent enough one for 400-500 bucks. Here, practically onthing under 800.

Mac laps are like, a grand and some here.
I think most of them get shipped in from the states, that's that's why they are expensive.
