*Thea brinks in*
A small child suddenly brinked in, whether it was by accident or not she stood there, oblivious to what exactly had just happened. The girl barely even looked around, clad in what appeared to be a huge pair of pjs littered with little stars. The material drowned the young child, with one small hole cut at the back of the bottoms, where a large black tail appeared - the little white tipped tail flicking too and fro behind her.

'Mum? I found the book' she exclaimed, not appearing to have noticed exactly where she was yet. Sure enough, under one arm was a huge picture book, along with a large patchwork blanket - that dragged to the floor where she stood.

'Mum?...' she whispered a few moments later, turning around suddenly, almost tripping over the ends of her pj bottoms as she stood there. Yet, somehow she wasn't overly scared, clutching harder onto her book as she stood there - the black ears adorning her head twitching just slightly.

** Enter Bard from Liibrary **

*Bard yawns, shuffling toward the bar. He doesn't yet notice the little girl. Reaching the bar, he fumbles around looking for the coffee machine, coffee grounds, coffee filters...*

Thea just stood there, staying silent, slowly shuffleing her way over towards the bar. She stopped about half way, watching the man for the time being with two deep purple eyes, her tail twitching intently from one side to the other behind her. Deciding whether or not to ask him where her mother was, she pulled her overlarge bottoms back into place, with a small determined look on her face determined to pipe up in a minute.

'Sir?' she questioned. Yet, she didn't exactly expect to be seen, being little over two and a half foot sorted that one out. Well, she was used to being little, and the rest of her family were fairly small. Her tail flicked lightly though along the floor, almost as if she was dusting it with the very white tip of her long tail, biting down hard onto her bottom lip with her teeth.

*Bard lifts his head at the sound of Thea's voice. Her turns around, coffee mug in hand, peering around the room. He can't see Thea where she's standing, however*

Hello?
PostPosted: Sat Jan 15, 2005 3:28 am

'night' she replied, a sudden spark of a smile appearing on her face. Lighting up that he was listening to her, she kept her chin tilted up so she could watch him stand there with a coffee mug. Not quite getting the fact he couldn't see her, she shuffled a little further back so Thea didn't have to strain quite as much to see the man.

She kept biting down onto her lip, remembering exactly what her mother had told her about strangers - half believing she should be slightly more careful the child leant back onto her heels. Folding book and blanket over her chest as she kept her gaze upon the steaming hot coffee, ears flicking right back against her hair.

*As Thea moves back, Bard catches a glimpse of a black head of hair. He leans forward over the bar and spies little Thea standing there with her book and quilt: looking quite ready for her evening story*

Oh! Oh my... *he peers around, hoping against hope that the girl's parents are around. He sees no one, however.*

Hello, little girl... *he says, as gently as he can, so as not to startle her. In his head, he runs through the list of things one says to a stray child. None of them seem to fit this particular situation. And so, he settles for* I'm Bard. What's your name?

'Thea, Thea Gallowsraven' she piped up, a small smile tweaking just at the side of her lips. Her tail gave a little wag behind her, almost making the girl loose her balance, but yet she stayed perfectly fine and standing straight. The little girls mind raced over what exactly to say, normally if customers started talking all she was to do was smile sweetly, nod and go along with what they were saying. But this wasn't the Blue Laggoon, so she took another step forwards towards the bar.

'I'm Looking for my mum..' She whispered, in some vain hope that maybe, just maybe this man would know her mum and be able to take her back home. Her gaze was set on his, intent little eyes flashing a questioning look, finally releasing her grip upon her bottom lip.

*Gallowsraven... Gallowsraven he's heard that name before, but where.*

Your Mum? *this might take some explaining. How can he say this without worrying her?* Well she can't be here right now, but you'll see her very soon.

*he casts about the bar for something a child would like. He finds a package of shortbread cookies.*

Would you like some cookies and milk while you wait?
PostPosted: Sat Jan 15, 2005 4:18 am

'Please..' she whispered, her shoulders drouping slightly about the comment with her mother, bringing her palm up to push the blanket off the floor. For the first time, she looked around the room, over towards the chairs and tables and then the set of keys, finally back towards the rather large bar in which the man held a packet of shortbread biscuits.

Her tail couldn't help but wagg a little more, finally she didn't have her brother around to steal her biscuits off her once he had finished his. Somehow, Alex always managed to wreck her time, no matter where, how or in any shape or form he always found a way to disturb it. So finally, the little girl was looking forward to something by herself, her ears raising just a little from the top of her hair.

*Bard notes her cat ears and tail with curiosity. He met someone else like that once ....*

*He finds a nice plate and a glass, pours some milk from a bottle in the bar fridge, piles some cookies artistically on the plate, then brings plate, glass and his coffee around to the other side of the bar. He looks at the tables and chairs, noting that they're made for adults, and far too tall for Thea. He ponders...*

Shall we have a picnic on the floor? *he crouches down*

The little girls smile widened with a slight nod, parking herself on the floor, two same eyes blinking back into the mans. She shuffled a little all the same, resting her book down beside her before putting her blanket ontop. Tail wagging slowly from one side to the other, her ears flicked right back up to twitch happily for a few moments.

'Thank you...It's just Alex takes all my food usually...so thanks' she whispered, just watching the man as he crouched down infront of her. She looked over the small artistic display, just like what her mother usually did for her, and with a small nod offered to help him put them down on the floor.

*Bard sets the plate and drinks down with The's help. He then sits down Indian-style across from her.*

Does he now? That's not very nice of him.

*he takes a sip of his coffee, things starting to come together*

Is Alex your brother then?
PostPosted: Sat Jan 15, 2005 4:56 am

'Yeah...Mum says he looks like dad, but i'm not so sure' Thea said with almost what could have been classed as a thoughtful look. Picking up one biscuit, she knibbled around the edge, chewing on the peice of shortbread as she sat there opposite him. Unlike him, the little girl sat with her feet tucked underneath her, sitting back onto her ankles. Her tail settled down by her side with the tip just giving the occansial flick.

The little girl displayed a small frown, licking a few crumbs off her fingertips as she continued on with her munching. 'Mum says i'll meet dad someday' she said, with the same small frown, before continueing on to knibble round the edges of her throughly knawed biscuit.

*Bard sips his coffee thoughtfully. He remembers meeting Alex once: the hot shot young lawyer who claimed to be Tavin's son.*

Oh, I think you'll meet your dad, Thea. I don't know when, but I'm sure you will.
