Well, her own axes can sunder them, for one. Any weapon that can apply force to a concentrated edge or point can break them if there is something to brace it against.
Hell, I would have accepted the spear breaking them if James actually had something to use as an anvil to smash them on, but he doesn't.

Assuming the chains connected and touched whoever.
Were they broken immediately? Or following a turn or two of bondage?
Because if they were broken immediately that is kinda gay...
But if they were not then.. I don't see the problem with them being broken by .. you know.. a hilariously comical hard sneeze.

Then again if the mere touch of the chains freezes you then I could see how the writer's own feelings would conflict with allowing his character to be subdued by such an attack...

Crawley, the chains hit his right arm and leg according to him when they burst out of the ground, and then on the following post, despite having to fight for control of his limbs, he pulls out his telescoping spear and basically says:
"I whack it liek, SUPER HARD OKAY, they break, I'm amazing, I'm hurling this spear at you".

Grim Skies Tresondros Ecstuffuan Sigil Warden no point in continuing the GTB for any of us. Getting in with the ability to summon a torrent of self-animating chains that also freeze the flesh I think should only add to the lack of confidence in Vintrict's ability to judge anything competently...and therefore continuing in the GTB. This. That ability is stupid OP coming off a 3 post passive charge, especially with the way Sigil describes it in the proceeding posts. Besides, Sigil, you note the chains can be sundered in your profile... but what ********' weapon or ability that would be allowed in the GTB do you expect to accomplish such a feat? A ********' lightsaber? I mean, I know Vin sucks at being consistent with profile grading, but I have to think he wouldn't let a lightsaber in. You should just put "Hey the chains are basically ********' steel" instead of saying they're some arcane frost death energy magic whatever crap. And goddamn, if you're not stretching the page laterally, you're stretching the page vertically. Try using spoiler tags or something. Its like Just say you ******** up. I find it baffling how you absolutely refuse to acknowledge any error in your thinking.

Scenario 1: Chains bind 1 or both legs. You can make use both hands behind a weapon like an axe to try and sever the chain, but it's still generally steel on steel because I don't think--I hope--Vin wouldn't let in weapons that cut through steel like butter. Therefore are you even going to accomplish breaking them in 1 post logically?
Also if they're tightly bound the swing comes at an odd angle. Arguably no real power behind it, or no safe angle to hit the chain.
Scenario 2: Chains bind 1 arm. Now you have to make a swing with 1 arm, less powerful. You can pull the chain taut by pulling on it with the arm that's bound, but still, not likely you'll pull of a clean cut to sever the chain.
Scenario 2: Both arms bound. You're ******** basically, yeah, it's gay that Fierach broke the chains.
But being bound by logically unbreakable chains for 2 posts that also freeze you (and a frost that cannot be countered with any form of natural or supernatural heat, right?) is pretty more gay. Especially if summoning them took 3 posts of non-effort.
That's my couple of pennies.
