Oh perfect...she felt the urge to maim someone and cry all at the same time and now she had company. For a moment she didn't even acknowledge the drow...hoping that maybe she would just go away. But she knew she wouldn't...it was a female thing. Maybe if she was mean? So a look over her shoulder and set in a glare. "Zaha-" Didn't even get her name out and she found an old fault...couldn't walk in the Underdark without tripping. Which means the mixed elf went flailing to the stony ground, hitting hard on the rocks. Damn it.

"you'll never know if I do or not."
Malik looked at Kieran, adn then at the doorway, and at Malvolence. she must have been really pissed to give that back to him. but he wan't about to look a gifthorse in the mouth. so he took off Ebony and put on Malvolence, caressing over it lovingly and resting his hand on the hilt.
"So what now, you go console Fianna and I try and catch Piper, or we both stay here and let it work out of thier systems a bit?"
It felt good to be able to get bank into the head of people, and he tried to find piper.

Zahara sheathed her dagger that she still had out after messing with the Vah. She watched as Piper hit the ground tripping over something, Lloth knew what it was. She moved over in front of the fallen elf and looked down. "Well...that was graceful." She didn't know what to say, kindness aws kind of foreign to her. She would offer a hand but she really didn't think Piper would take it. "What happened to make you rush out of there?" Zahara's brand of concern, insult then bluntly ask what was wrong. It had always worked like a charm before,w hy not now?

Yes you're welcome you have your sword back. It was partly said with an edge of defense to her voice...best to cover up wanting to cry feelings with just sheet anger. Damn damn Underdark. Why did if figure that she lost her ability to walk when she was angry? But a look up to Zahara, still not looking the happy elf at all as she pushed herself up, brushing dirt from herself. Oh yeah, that was grand. And now she had company. "I live down here...I never said I lived easily..." Piper shook her head. "Fianna Swiftfeather happened, that's what. That woman is so infuriating sometimes, she just can't take anything I give her and just go with it!" Though she shut her moth...Zahara didn't need to hear her vent.
Kiearn only shook his head again, and watched as Malik changed up swords. Piper hated that blood drinking sword like it threatened her very life...he was surprised to realize that she had gotten it away from Malik...and then given iit back. he sighed, rubbing the back of his neck with his hand. "Piper will accuse Fianna, Fianna will accuse Piper, they'll both want sides from me and to act as the peacemaker. That's how it always was with them." Another sigh...but staying out of it was worse and he set his glass down. "I'll go attend to Fianna...you know better how to handle Piper's temper anyway at this point."

Zahara raised an eyebrow, well this wasn't surprising. "Ah so you and your mother had a bit of fight, hmm?" She didn't see what the big deal about that was. She'd only seen her mother a few times, wasn't even sure if she even liked her. She had no idea who her father was, could be one of three different Drow but that was musings for a different day. "If you're so upset with her being here, then tell her to leave." It was funny watching Malik cater to her and she'd miss it but seh didn't want to see Piper upset either. There was a lot to say for an upset elf. She could tell that Piper had more to say and she said, "Now you're not going to end that little rant right there are you? I'm Drow and the Queen of Ranting if i do say so myself. Come on D'Vinn, let it all out. In common, if you please."

Invitation to rant...sure she'd take it. "That infuriating woman has no concept of giving anyone at all a chance and if she even did then maybe just maybe she could understand why I do the things I do. But no, that's not her. That's not Fianna Swiftfeather, Queen of the Taur'quessir at all!" Mocking, yes...but hey she was upset. And no she wasn't screaming at Zahara...just yelling because she could. "But I'm done! If she can't give me and Malik a chance then I'm not going to give her one either! And it's not me that suffers, it's Malik! All he wants is some semblence of family from that woman she could at least give him an honest smile and just accept the fact that thigns have happened as they have indeed happened!" Oh well that felt good to get off her chest now didn't it. Then a few quickly said phrases in elvish as she ran a hand through her hair. "And that's why I don't tell her to leave...for Malik's sake. It's what he wants...I love him and if I have to face all this hell for him then by all elvish Gods I will...but that doesn't mean things will be all alright."

That explained some things to her and completely confused her in some others. Why did Malik want a family again? Not like they were really worth anything. Half of htem would try and kill you if they thought it would gain them some kind of advantage over another or give them more power. "You love him..." That was a bit of news now wasn't it? "There's nothing wrong with that I suppose. But I don't think yo ushould have to deal with your mother if you don't want to. Won't Malik understand, or no?" He seemed to be the type who wouldn't really care about what anyone else wants and try to fulfill his own selfish ends. She shook her head, "How logn is she staying?"

"Agreed. I'll handle Piper, you handle Fianna, and when they both are semi calm we can try putting them in teh same room again."
A drink from teh bottle this time, before opening a cabinet, putting in teh bottle, locking it, and sealign it with a spell before he headed out hte way Malvolence said to, to find Piper. Not that he wasn't catching flack fromt eh blade itself. which had him looking worse as he was constantly telling it to shut up and mind it's own buisness.

Oh yeah...Zahara didn't know that. Well now she did, good for her. "He said he'd rather have a mother in law who hates him than none at all." Piper shook her head. "Therefore I deal with her for him. And it's not so much of him understanding as it is him wanting me to try..." Well she tried...Fianna started it. But then a shurg. "Till Malik or Kieran decide enough is enough I suppose." Her distress was kind of painfully obvious...in a way she had given up which was why Malik had his sword back. What was the point in keeping it from him since Fianna didn't care either way.
Kieran nodded to Malik, tapping a hand on the table before following him out of the room and heading upstairs. Oh lord...this was a fine time now wasn't it. Mother and daughter had laid claws into each other...and of course they were both going to be difficult and perhaps even spiteful to each other. "By Corelleon..."

Zahara stood there for a moment, then pulled out her dagger and began to play with it once again. "Sounds like a rotten deal to me. He gets exactly what he wants and you get all the flak. I'd tell her to get out but then I harbor no affection for my mother. None whatsoever. I had thought that you were different but apparentely not." She was quiet for a moment longer and then said softly, "Is it worth being miserable to see Malik happy? If seh doesn't care either way, why do you?" she thought it was a good question, it worked in her mind. Fianna was causing problems though essentially it was Malik's fault she was even there in the first place and teh solution would be to get rid of Fianna. Easy. Simple. Straightforward. But no, it had to be complicated didn't it?

Then walking over to piper, putting hs arms aroud her shoulders.

"I've been miserable before for him." Well she wasn't going to lie about it to her, there was really no point in it. Besides...she was too wound up right now to come up with a good lie...and her ego hurt from that fall too. Then a look over to Malik as he happened upon them. Damn sword probably gave her away. Though a little frown at him as well. "Don't prod at her Malik..." Good lord last thing she needed right now was another fight between drow...especially since Malvolence was back at Malik's side. Though when he put his arms around her she didn't know whether to return the gesture or push him away...well pushing him away would be worse. "Aren't I the one supposed to be telling you that?" Still an edge in her voice, nope not a happy elf at all.

"Yes, indeed that is the usual way it works. but I think you need to hear it more than me right now. and I'm not prodding. that's the way life is in a Llothian city. siblings are just potentail allies and rivals, and your lucky if you see your mother once or twice a year, or even know who your father is."
A glance at Zahara.
"I'm not far off, am I? it's similar in Tier'Dal society. we're a little closer than that as far as parents..but mostly, it's the same way. the only way a brother or sister is really an ally is if they choose a different profession than you. for example, a warrior and an assassin make fine partners. but two warriors...your sibling is just competition."

Well he didn't seem upset at all now did he? That only made her sigh and feel all the more frustrated. And when you were feeling the frustration of both parents on top of your own it was even worse. Damn communion bonds. Though she had to admit he wasn't really prodding...this was casual conversation between drow.
"What happened?"
"The same thing that always happens when we don't see eye to eye, Kieran. All I want is a straight answer from her, on a logical well thought out basis. She won't give me that and it frustrates me to no end that she's not really sure what she has or wants or even needs..."
"You worry too much, as always. Fianna...you know how Piper is. She's a lot like me in her ways and-"
"No, you give me answers that make sense. You know how, she's too young to even do that."
"Let me rephrase...she's a lot like me in thinking...but a lot like you in spirit. Fianna...don't you remember what it was like to be her age? Yes you were a bit more prim and proper but you still had her fire. A defiance to things, an aloof sense of adventure. You followed your heart on everything and logic be damned. Yes you made mistakes...but they had to be done. And your spirit led you to me, hers has led her to Malik. Can you say that you don't love me because we were young and you couldn't give a straight answer to your own parents about us either."
Well that made her look at the floor in a sense of realization. Leave it up to Kieran to point out these things.

She wasnt' happy when Malik appeared, this was her chance to help Piper. But of course that b*****d would come, he 'loved' her didn't he? She shrugged, "Yes you're not far off the mark at all. Just about right on it in actuality but that doesn't mean anything. I don't need anybody anyway." She glanced at Piper, "And I'd really rather not go through what she is. If that's a mother daughter relationship, then quite frankly I"m rather glad I don't have one to deal with." She tucked a bit of her hair behind her ear and continued to play with her dagger, randomly twisting it in her hands until she got bored and finally sheathed it. She was a bit surprised Malik was even talking to her, she figured he'd just glare and tell her to go away. Zahara's hands hit her hips and she regarded Malik with a raised eyebrow, "Why are you so big on family anyway Tier'Dal? That's what started all of this, now isn't it?"
