Eliot snuffed about, ocassionaly geting dust in her nose. She thought that the cave smelled funny, everyonce in a while she cought on old scent of Meilliki. She was curious to that, why would the Oracle be spending her time here?

They walked deeper itno the cave. Not really knowing what to do if A spider came or how to know if one was coming. She had better eyes as a wolf but it was very dark, and she couldn't tell one smell from another. She growled low in her thoat occasionaly in warning but so far it had turned ou tto be nothing.

Elito stopped to look up at Aella ears tilded in a questionign type of way, not noticing the small thing climbing over her front paw.

Kat started. Suddenly two... two things where on one of the elfs! She wondered what they were, small creatures with horns, tails, and rather pitiful lookign wings. Does everything around here have wings she thought. Already she had her ketchbook out to do a quick drawing of the two knew creatures, she then flipped it closed and watched again, completely absorbed in the people she was seeing.

The two imps giggled and their smiles widdened. "Hi!" She had said hi back! Oh, females were so fun to hang around with.

"You're as pretty as a swan!"

"We saw one once you know."

"But then we ate it."

Oh look...black skinned elf. Moonstone swept his hand out over the table. "There isjust about everything you could want here. My brother and I are sharing some lamb." He stood up, pulled out a chair next to him. "May I offer you a seat?" that's right, being a polite as possible. He was trying to live up to his only slight paladinish ways. He needd to be more....of a knight. That's a good word.

Males. Her immediate thought was to demand to know why they were watching her. She shook her head, "No. I'm fine." Moving over to the fridge she opened it and began going through the food there, searching for something to eat. Finally seh settled on the lamb already on the table. Why not? She walked over and picked up a leg and began to eat. Swallowing the bite in her mouth she glanced at teh two of them, letting her eyes trail over them. "Is everything in this place family oriented?" Then she shook her head and had another few bites. she hadn't eaten in a while, not that it bothered her but she watned food. "What are you anyway?" Yes, she was blunt. So shoot her. She was watching them warily, noting the claws and fang like teeth. Potential foes must be analyzed carefully. Those claws could rip her apart and she had to keep an eye on both of them.

Malik would have rung both thier necks in a heartbeat for that, and glared at them both for that.

"Both of you, get off her. or so help me I'll have you both locked in a room for the rest of the night. you're already in trouble for eatting a very expensive pair of boots."

A particular glare to Jell.

"Don't make me get the collars that can hold you two out."

Onyx chrugged lightly.

"We're Vah. from norrath, and we are a brand new species of Vah at that, with wings. and no, this place isn't family oriented. Malik is a slave trade, plain and simple. he' jsut being nice to me and moon becuase our father killed him once. and his father, and most hsi family and thirteen other bloodlines down to the last child."

A shrug.

"Piper is his mate, fianna and kieran are her parents, and kat gives him leverage on the beef supply."

"Vah...right." She looked at the black....Vah and raised an eyebrow. "Someone killed him? Hmm, I like that piece of news." She moved over by Onyx, "So where's your father now?" She could talk to him adn find out how he had killed Malik. that would be good, then she could do the same to teh stupid b*****d. Trying to collar her, giving her a babysitting position. Was he otu of his damn mind? Well the answer there was an obvious YES! She finished up her leg of lamb and slapped her hands together to clean them a bit. She glanced around still unsure of everything here and sighed, "It certainly seems family oriented to me." She glanced at his brother who was suddenly being very quiet. Was there the same kind of sibling rivalry that existed between her and her siblings. "So why aren't you two out there welcoming Piper's parents?"
PostPosted: Tue Dec 06, 2005 8:07 pm

Piper was quick to put a hand on Malik's arm squeezing slightly. Please, please don't say the word collar...she'll take it the bad way then she'll apply it to mine and then it all goes down the drain. Drat....she actually needed him to have Malvolence at that point...needed that connection for her telepathy to tell him that. But she was sol wasn't she? And a look to Kieran. Do something, correct the situation maybe? Please?

"Well...aren't you two...interesting? I suppose a thank you is in order? I think..." If they were in to eatting pretty things and she was pretty by thier standards...well she wasn't too comfortable with that. Imps, they had a bad repuation sometimes. But then a look to Malik and Piper as he went about expressing his discontent of thier actions. Though her eyebrow raised in what could be amusement. "They ate your boots?"

Kieran chuckled lightly, giving a few soothing words to his daughter...she was about the most nervous and high strung in the room. Poor thing. Though he suspected that Fianna wouldn't be saying anything until she had her words and private moment with thier daughter. With a sigh, he plucked the imps off of Fianna's chair and settled them on the floor. "Now boys...try not to bother...the trip here was a little tiring and tense."

"The one that isn't wearing shoes apparenlty eats them as some kind of delicacy. but yes, they did eat a pair of shoes that was going to wear today. since they seem to enjoy making me upset."

but he got the hint, he didn't say anything more after that, though he idly rubbed the mark on his sword hand that malvolence gave him.

"Yes, listen to kieran, and go do somethign else. which reminds me as well. if I find you breaking any more plates or destorying anything else of mine I'm going to throw you into a plane you can't phase out of. and it won't be a happy place, either, since you also destryoed half the china."

Talon was lounging about the dock, bored out of his mind. He had been abandoned here shortly after his meeting with the good Captain in the grove to the north west, and has seen little enjoyable contest since. "Join the navy they say, fight the rarest and best warriors they say... Sons of bitches never stepped out of the port and they've got cha believing that there are strong denizens travelling the dark places of the earth." He told the same begger he always talked to when he was lounging in this particular spot, the begger seemed to still not care, and continued to beg from passers by.

"You see, this is the problem here, there is no one of significant strength. Beyond my friend, I doubt there is a single challenge wort-" Talon's eyes caught the strangest glow on the horizon, the sails of ship that he once sailed, and captained. Those pirating basterds had come back to dock... Oh, they would be surprised to see him... He'd make them pay for leaving him on that rock!

He quickly stood, and leaped up the side of a nearby building, and took the quickest route to the ship which held the crew he so desired to slaughter. It would be fun, considering that now he did not need them to sail the bloody ship. Oh, he could probably find a rage-tag bunch of rasciallians to crew the vessel if he searched long enough in this remote little community.

After a few hours, the ship finally came into dock, rather roughly for vetren sailors. Oddly, the number of mistakes made gave the crew the appearence of complete ammitures. Even when completely drunk and using substances that should be made extinct, the crew could always dock the ship without sraping the entire port side of the ship on the wrong side of the tere. The quater fiend had to grown at that, and then swore fairly loud when elves left the ship, wood elves to be exact. "What in the Nine Hells is that?"

Ruhing to the ship before all the elvish crew could disembark, the once proud pirate captain began calling out to them. "How did you get this ship?" This obviously drew a few strange looks from the elves who seemed to be very happy to be back on land.

"You are half drow, if not more are you not?" One elf asked, this one with a pale high complection. This one stood rather tall, and wore more weapons than Talon could count in the brief moment he had to glace before he had to lock his eyes on the elves. This one was ready for everything, a flail for fighting rock beasts and undead, a heavy sword for armoured men, and a thin blade for unarmoured.

"Err, quarter other, yes. Mostly Drow."

"Do you happen to be part fiend, and once captain this ship?"

"Maybe."

"How many Drow do you know write using Infernal to capitalize their speach?"

Talon swallowed, this would be why most beings only wrote in one language, to help keep the works obscure. "You could be looking for a different Tiefling, I hear priestesses enjoy their fiends during their Graduation cerimonies."

"Not many people know of Tieflings."

Talon cursed under his breath, this one was tricky. "So, other than my emotional outburst that was pretty obvious, how did you know it was me?" After speaking the words, the elves seemingly instantly drew out their longbows and pointed arrows at the Tiefling.

" Its ok, he did not order the attacks on your village, he could not control the crew and they acted on their own motivated by their corruption. One your hip, you wear an elvish thin blade. The man who wrote in the log book had a very delicate pen stroke, showing that he prefered the strong and fluid movements of light weapons." The elf used his hands to guesture to the elves to put their weapons away, which they slowly did. " I will deal with the Tiefling, you should return home. "

The elves seemingly continued to dispurse, and began their search for a craft to take them back to the Pura Penisula.

"You're pretty keen for an elf."

The elf turned his head to look sharpely at the Tiefling, "You must be pretty stupid to angre pirates at sea."

Talon shrugged. "Couldn't be helped. They didn't feel up to the challenge when they saw the enemy."

"Human pirates are cowardly."

"Humans are pretty dumb and ugly."

"You certainly bare your elvish heratage well."

"Drow, don't confuse me with one of you pansies."

The elf laughed, "I am Cedric the Songblade, who might you be?"

"Talon. Err... Talon of Darkseed."

"Well Talon, we are in a slight problem here, I know you are a pirate, and serve your own means, and should probably deal with you now to prevent your future misdeeds."

"Well Cedric, you would be a fool to think it would be easy, I have crossed swords with a Demi-God and survived!"

"Which one?" The elf asked, tilting his head slightly to his left his eyes revealing his inquistive nature.

"The worste one, The son of Lloth."

"Lolth's son?"

"No, Lloth's son."

"They are the same being." The elf smirked, "The Spider Queen."

Why did he have to threaten the imps...not to mention those were her responsibility. He promised not to mess with things she was taking into her own list of obligations. Even if they weren't really so. "A'mael, leave them alone. I'll give them a talking to later." She'd most certinally be playing peace maker later. With a sigh she ran a hand through her hair, giving a touch at her ear a tug to her banadana and then a tug at her collar. Boy was she fidgety. But this was going...well? She guessed it was for all intensive purposes. A look over to her mother with a slight smile. "They're always causing trouble. Imps, what can ya do with them..."

"Some things you just don't know what to do with really..." Fianna shrugged lightly, and smoothed a wrinkle in her skirt with her hand. This wasn't so bad she guessed...or she could at least tolerate it all for the time being. Her eyes turned to Malik. "From your words I assume you have quite the little history with the little guys." Which intrigued her...drow weren't keen on annoyances. But her attention moved to Kieran. "Are you making friends with everything you come in contact with again."

He chuckled, patting the imps on the head and leaning back in his chair. Personally he didn't mind if they bothered him or hung on him or whatever...as long as they remotely behaved and didn't try to eat Raziel, it was good with him. "Maybe I am."

"I got few choice things I coudl do with them."

Yes, they always made malik a little grumpy.

"But that's not the kind of thing I'm sure you want to hear. after all, you're probably worried enough about piper than to hear of darker things down here from me."

then a grin.

"I woudl like to hear about your home, Fianna. in my home plane, the woodelf, or Fier'dal, city is Kelethin, adn it is built aroudn huge trees in the Faydark forests. ther eare lifts that go up into teh city and it is connected through rope bridges. what of your home city?"

"Because I have no interest in meeting piper's parent, nor do I want Malik making me watch my language lest I offend. Malik is immortal though. his god, the Prince of Hate, resurrects him. see, first time our dad met malik, he was a little boy. and he turned malik into a patchwork quilt. then later, malik took our father, like his father before him, as a slave. and paid the same price."

"Well, they're mine to do things with as I please. Not yours." Though a pat to his hand. Though imps antics always managed to sour his mood somewhat. Malik just wasn't a man for such foolishness at such and exreme level. A light shake of her head and a smile to Malik. At least he was being aware of what he was saying and trying to correct it. That at least eased her for a while. And yay, he picked something that she could easily babble about.

A blink at Malik and a tilt of her head before she tucked some hair behind her ear that had fallen with the motion of her head. "Actaully it sounds similar. Ryliah is in easteren Andal in the southern regions of the Omina forest. Build up off the ground around the tree trunks but mostly in the upper branches. Mostly connected through suspension bridges and things of that sort. Though there's only one entrance in or out and it's protected by several spells...and that's of course proivded that you can find that entrance in the first place." She had a sort of fond look. "Fashioned to look as if dwellings are grown by the trees themselves and the city shifts with the colors of the leaves."

Fianna wasn't the only one with the nostalgic look. She remembered it...and fondly too. She had left when the leaves were changing...those leaves changed colors but never fell, even in winter months. Green in the warm months, a range or reds, yellows, oranges and browns in the cool months, and then white in the cold months. She had left in the cool months...which was another reason her tunic had been red.

Kieran chuckled...oh he had to add in his two cents. "You're the smart one Malik. At least if you ever visit Andal, you would know the whole entrance way thing. She didn't tell me and well when I tried to get in that first time...got teleported right over the ocean and dumped in...keep it in mind. You'll benefit from it."

"Kelethin elves don't use spells to protect thier lifts. they have armed guards, and rangers all around. druidic spells are used mostly to assist teh rangers in defense. they take it a bit more seriously in some respects. people not ment to be in that city don't live long enough to travel up one of the lifts. but then they have to be, with the Crushbone Orc clan at thier doorstep. not to mention Tier'dal connection to them as well."

A bit of musing.

"not to mention the Koada'dal..or high elven, city of felwithe not a halfday's walk away. and both ever vigilent. and guarded by the dwarven empries an dthier city of Kaladim."

"Sounds like quite the place, Malik. Much different than what I know...though I've not been off plane much in my life. Call me a bit sheltered it you will." Just...wow. That was a lot to proces and compare really. In all respects, Andal was a rather peaceful place...not to big on warfare and the like. Otherwise there would be skirmishes and marches on Daimos all the time. Payback for the raiding the Drow took thier fun in. "Well you could say the Taur'quessir of Andal are...not too keen on confronation. In fact Andal as a whole tends to just...hold truce. Accept the drow of course." A slap at Kieran's arm. "That reminds me...would you mind not fooling around for a bit in there? I'm getting raided for your deeds."

He shrugged lightly, leanign back in his chair and folding his hands on his chest. "I took Raziel once and I haven't been fooling around that much. Don't fret, love, I'll deal with it. But don't talk business A'mael, our daughter will have your head for it." A little laugh at that and a look over to Piper and Malik with a smile at them both. Going well so far, yes?

"Ineed...no business in the house right now." Oh Gods...please let's not indeed get started on that line of talk...things would start being said and tempers would flare. But of course as Kieran did in his oh so subtle ways, he smoothed things out before they ever got wrinkled. She leaned her head against Malik's shoulder with a sigh...was it obvious that she wasn't the comfortable one? At least Malik was finding easy subjects to take talk in. She was too busy worrying again about what brewed in Fianna's head.
PostPosted: Wed Dec 07, 2005 6:30 am

THat wasn't going to do her any good then. If she managed to kill him and his Prince brought him back. Nope, no good at all. Damn. Leave it to him to have something inconvenient like teh favor of a god on his side. Malik as a child...it was hard to see him that way. Though she expected he was most likely a bully. A mean bully too. The Vah hadn't answered her question but she wasn't going to ask it again. She wasn't sure what was a senstive subject with him and what wasn't and she wasn't going to take any chances on upsetting him. One hand stayed by her hip, ready to grab at one of her daggers if she needed them quickly but she leaned against the counter in a show of getting comfortable. "Yes, well I don't really have any reason to be out there so I thought I'd wander. Especially since all these new people are popping up that I've never met before. Like you two."

"well, from what I understand, there are just the elven races on Andal. Norrath has at least thirteen races. three breeds of elves, humans, dwarves, ogres, trolls, the erudites and barbarians..subraces of humankind. the Vah...you met two of those earlier. though they are a unique form of the race. and there are the frogloks, a frog race, and the Iksar, a reptilian race and last but not least, the gnomes. spread across five continents, and this doesn't include the orc and goblin clans, the giants, dragonkin and the like."

A small grin.

"adn trust me, you would think a bit higher on teh drow if you'd ever met an Iksar."

"So my question for you, is what are you doing here? a native drow, in malik's house without a collar on her neck. I mean I don't know much about the drow of this plane, but I know it's a society run by women. so you must not be overly pleased that malik holds the reins here, so to speak."

Another bite out of that lamb, watching her.
