Who mentioned snow? At this point I would *shudder* welcome snow. Our poor state is covered in deadly ice. its ripping down trees, power lines, bridges, stoplights, bill boards. My neighbors had a tree fall on their car this morning. It woke us all up. It was scary! Thankfully Ameren UE, the power company out here, is really great about getting stuff fixed.
It was pretty earlier though when the power first went out. My husband and I gathered our candles into the living room and lit them all. Then we put them around the room. It was pretty and kind of warm too.
I totally make up and mix up words too, lol.
Oh and Lana, pop corn is a great munchies food. Sprinkle it with some Parmesan cheese, and a few spices while its still hot in the bag. Mmm...

I can't wait to get some material to do these. My 3 yr old could use one for his naps at preschool (his sleeping bag is getting ruined from cheapness alone LOL

yummy popcorn!!! my friend eats it mixed with doritos chips. another one puts garlic on it with the parmesan I am debating on whether or not to make the peanut butter cookies. Maybe I will do that after dinner tonight with the kids....we will see.

What state are you in Craftymama? I have luckily never witnessed an ice storm. we had some freezing rain last weekend but that was about it. not a lot then either.

gonk cry I can't even eat mashed potatoes the gash in my throat hurts so bad and you guys gotta bring up popcorn and cookies an such! I'd never thought about putting spices and parmesan in popcorn before, I gotta try that now, well...when I can. sweatdrop Thanks craftymama! 3nodding heart

It was my hubby's idea. He is the cook in our family. When we first got married I burned everything. sweatdrop I've gotten better but still lack in the kitchen. He more than makes up for it though. I always eat to much when he cooks. 3nodding
I feel your pain Sagi! I had major dental surgery a few years ago and couldn't eat for days and then only broth for almost a month. I lost a ton of weight which was scary since I'm under weight as it is due to my other health condition. I'm back to my full eating capacity now though. I slept a lot and that helped me heal faster or so my doctor said.
Sapphyre I'm in Missouri. The day before this ice storm it was almost 70 degrees out side and sunny. The next day we woke up to an icey world of cold gray and the sound of my neighbor's poor Acura being crushed by an oak tree. That is Missouri weather for you. We are smack dab in the middle of the country so we get battered from all sides. Its pretty here though and my son's school is one of the top 50 in the country. I really don't like living here as their isn't much to do here but hopefully in the next few years that will change.

Sagitarian ... I kinda know how you feel, I had braces put on my teeth a week before my 16th birthday and I remember at that party I couldn't eat a thing while all my friends were feasting their faces. I hope you get better real quick.

Good morning everyone ^_^ Some wonderful person anonymously gave me these great red boots off my wish list! eek Thank you to whoever it was! I've wanted them since I started on Gaia! They go with so much! I'm so happy and touched that someone would think of me. crying whee 4laugh

Ahh, braces.. the bane of my existence.
My mouth was wired from sixth grade onward. And then, a few years
after they were gone, a truck sort of drove through my car. Can you
guess what happened to me next? You betcha! I was given another
pair of braces.
Thank goodness, for the Invisaligns coming into existence. They're such
a blessing, compared to what I went through before, with the snipping
and tightening of wires (there's something that'll give you nightmares).
