Well, the one I go to is a three-day festival about the food & culture of Greece & the surrounding areas. A nearby Greek orthodox church holds it every year. Inside, they sell kitchen supplies & sundries. Outside, there are lots of stands that sell Greek foods, such as gyros, calamari, & baklava. Also, there's a stage outside where traditional music & dances are performed. It's a whole lot of fun & my family tries to go every year. 3nodding

Maybe you'll get to go to one. The Greek food festival is one of my favorite festivals to go to, the other main one being Toad Suck Daze.

It can easily be explained, though. There's a park called Toad Suck near the Arkansas River. There's a bridge there now, but there used to be a ferry. At the end of the day, the ferry workers would drink at the tavern there, bloated like toads sucking on their beer bottles. That's where the name came from. The festival is a 3 day party held the first weekend of May in honor of the ferry.

That's really cool, Anne. We have a local faire in September called Septemberfest near my house..the high school marching bands march in the parade. ^^
