Freemont was pawing at the grass, trying to get to the better parts of it.
Draumr' looking at the clouds, a hobby that he hadn't done for awhile, while he chewed on an apple slice. (Writers block XP)

((happens to the best of us.))
Flower wandered a bit aimlessly. He'd been pretty depressed lately and he didn't know why. Accually, he found he was a lot more sad since he met Fremont, which didn't make sense to the stallion since he loved Fremont vary much. He sighed as he tried to figure all this out.
Trotting along beside her papa, Tiva watching him a bit sadly. She had coem to find him and daddy but when she asked her papa where daddy was he seemed to get really sad. She wondered what was wrong.
Lady walked along lightly, listening to the birds and the rusle of the trees. Her ears twitched as she steped around rocks carefully. For a blind mare she could get around great by herself.

Draumr' stood up. He had left Lady sleeping alone and had been gone for awhile. He started to walk back to where she had last been, hoping she hadn't woken up yet.
Fremont sighed and decided to go and look for Tiva and Flower. He hadn't seen them for almost a day.

Lady, feeling soft grass only found in wide open pastures, broke into a trot and then gallop, smiling at the feeling of running free. Rarely was she able to feel so alive. SHe didn't like being confined to one place unless Draumr' is with her. She of course appriciated how wonderful of a stallion he was, and loved him with all her heart, but she was her mothers daughter and her fathers daughter and her sisters sister. She liked to run, and she had never really been able to do that. Her legs had begun to ache, recently, with the desire to run free. Of course it would be so much better if her mate was beside her.
Flower snorted lightly in frustration. He had no idea what was wrong. He knew humans could become sick and sad, and it was depression, but he didn't know if horses could get it, and if so, if he had the strange sickness. He jsut knew he wasn't happy and he didn't know why...
Tiva sighed lightly as she watched her papa, confused but afried to ask in the case that it would upset him more.

Fremont had noticed that Flower had been..different. Kind of sad. He picked two carrots from Nata's garden on his way to Racer's herd grounds, hoping that they woulod be there.
When Draumr' reached the place that he had left Lady, his eyes widened in fear. What had happened to her? Was she hurt? What would Racer say if he found out that Draumr' had let her wander off or get hurt. Draumr' frantically looked around the tree. "Lady?"

Lady stopped and reared up, letting out a shout of happyness as she pawed at the air. Ten she was off again, speeding aroudn and around, sightless eyes closed and a smile on her lips.
Tiva quietly trotted off, running to find her daddy to see if he knew what was wrong. She smiled and nickered a greeting when she saw Fremont and ran to greet him. "Daddy!" She called happyly.
Flower didn't notice Tiva leave, still deep in his thoughts about his current state.

"Hey Sweetie." Fremont said as he nuzzled her. "Have you seen Papa?"
Draumr' started to call even more frantically as more horrible things that could have happened to Lady flew through his mind. HE looked behind the bushes that were nearby and behind another apple tree. "LADY?"

Tiva nodded. "Papa is really sad...and i don't know why..." she said.
Lady paused, hearing a faint sound carried to her by a light wind.

"Sad?" Fremont asked, wondering why Flower would be sad. "Well, let's go cheer him up. Where is he?"
Draumr' galloped along the dirt path that connected all of the buildings of the ranch, looking behind each before calling for Lady again. "Lady?"

Tiva nodded. "he's this way." she said, truning and heading in the direction Flower had been. She trotted along at a vairly quick pace. She was sure that if her Papa saw her Daddy that he would feel better and be happy again.
Flower had settled into grazing quietly, letting his mind fall blank and relax.
Lady blinked. "Hmm...i think i hear Draumr'..." she mused. She shook her head before turning to stare sightlessly at a light pressure on her back. "Hello little birdy, might you go tell the stallion who is calling to me that i am in the feilds and am safe?" she asked. She smilled as the little bird flew off to deliver her message. *note: the birst is NOT Wendy...she won't show up until later or if i win the demon.*

Just a rare little Solo to explain why Racer is ticked...
*Takes place after Tie learned Macha was Racer’s mother. *
The angry mare snorted and reeled on the stallion when he appeared a short time later. “Your MOTHER!? For Christ’s sake Racer, do you know what she has done?! Terrorised the herd! She is a threat! I will not stand by and allow you to make a fool of this herd and yourself by letting her continue! I want her gone before tomarrow night! She can torment someone elses herd.” Tie snapped. “Or so help me…” she left the threat unfinished.
Racer sighed. “Tie…I know…I know its not ok…I told her to stop. And I think she’ll leave Star alone now…I can’t make her leave tho, Tie…she’s more stubborn then you…” The stallion said. Plus, she was his mother, she was alone, and sad…he couldn’t abandon her…
“More stubborn? Oh no, my dear. I can be worse. Like this. IF she is not gone by tomarrow night…and I mean out of the herd grounds, out of contact, and out of our hair…then I’m gone until she is. I will not be seen in these grounds with a thing like THAT walking around.” She pawed the ground.
Racer snorted. “a thing?! Tie she is my mother! I know she isn’t perfect but she is a good mom, and she’s lonely! For Christ’s sake Tie, she lost her mate, my father! And if you belive I have to choose between her and you then you can just walk right now, because I won’t do it. I love you, you know that. But I can’t turn my back on my mom, no matter how much I disagree with her…”
Tie snorted, eyes glareing at Racer, but behinde the anger was hurt. She turned. “Fine.” She said simply, walking away.
Racer hung his head as Tie disappeared into the mountains and cried.

The day was a rather cold one, show having settled lightly all around. Racer had, as he had been since Tie’s leave, been alone. The snow, the happiness and cheerfulness that had filled the air seemed to suffocate him. He wanted to scream and shout, wanted to kick and buck…but none of that would fix it. And without contact with his mother or Tie…he couldn’t fix the problem. He had lost Tie…and had all but resigned to the fact she would not return. He had not really told Lady or Nor that their mother had run off. OR that it was likely he would step down from Head Stallion. The thought of being in charge without his mate…it was a horrid feeling. He sighed as he moved along the snowed pathways of the herd grounds.
Trotting along, alone, was Lady. Well, rather she was walking happily with a small green bird perched on her shoulder. The bird, named Wendy, was helping Lady to navigate the forest with easy. Plus, Lady was going to ask Racer if Wendy could stay with the herd and perhaps keep different members of the herd company while their mates where away or if they were lonely. Her ears perked when the little Wendy bird whispered to her that a gray stallion was walking up ahead. “Daddy?” Lady called out. “Daddy is that you?”
Racer stopped and lifted his head, spotting Lady and the unknown bird. “Lady! What in the world are you doing out here alone?” he asked, walking to her and nuzzling her. Honestly, he would need to speak with Draumr’ about Lady, soon.
“Oh please don’t be angry daddy. I was just looking for you and Draumr’. Daddy, this little bird here I named Wendy and I was curious if you would let her stay with the herd. She has no family and is wonderful at keeping someone company. She doesn’t like crowds but perhaps she could stay with the lonely horses of the herd.” Lady explained, nuzzling her father back.
Racer sighed. “I’ll think about. Right now I’m a bit busy Lady. I…” He was cut off.
“Have you seen mom around? I’ve been looking all over for her but I can’t find her…” Lady asked, tilting hr head to the side.
Racer let out a breath. “She left…and I don’t know if she’s coming back…” He said. He looked down, ashamed.. it was practically his fault.
“O-oh…” she said. Lady nodded. “I see daddy…I hope…I hope you and mommy make up soon…” she said, nuzzling Racer. “I’m going to go find Draumr’. Love you daddy.” She said before trotting off.
Racer sighed. He turned and trotted off. He headed towards the mountains, away from the head grounds. Soon enough he entered a valley he had not visited before. To his amazement and joy Tie, in the flesh, stood in the center, grazing on the grass. Slowly he approached. “Tie?” he asked lightly, hardly daring to believe.
Tie looked up and nodded. “Racer.”
Racer let out a breath of relief and ran the rest of the way to her. “Tie, oh god, I have been so worried about you! Are you hurt? Did anything happen? You weren’t attacked by cougars were you?” he went off, listing a number of worries he had had.
Tie blinked and stepped back. “I’m fine Racer. Why are you here?” she asked, sounding less then happy that he had shown up. A nicker broke bother their attentions and Tie turned to face a wild stallion at the other end of the valley. She returned the nicker and faced Racer again. “Racer I have to…” She stopped at the look on Racer’s face.
His eyes were wide, and he looked as if begging to be shot where he stood. “Tie…” he said lightly. “what…” He couldn’t continue.
Tie looked down. “I’m sorry Racer….” She said simply before turning and running off with the unknown stallion.
Racer stood there, floored. How could she do this? Was this really the end? He nearly fell over but instead turned and raced back to the herd grounds, to the little clearing the two of them first truly fell in love. And the stallion, loving father, tough fighter, fast stallion, wept.
Note: This is NOT the end of Racer and Tie’s relationship, just a minor thing. They are currently separated, but will get back together…but as I asked, I’d like to get a stallion that Racer doesn’t know, to breed with Tie, and have her come back to him with babies…kinda like she made a mistake because she was so upset with Racer and Macha and such and then realizes she still loves Racer, the other stallion means nothing to her and the two of them get back together. Does this make sense? *Psst! I was thinking one of Sky or Kara’s

VACATION!
Spirit arose from a restful sleep, mind slowly going over the pervious day and the current day. "ah yes...Magic's and mine's trip." He stretched and looked over to see if Magic had woken up yet. No need, he thought, to wake her from a good sleep. THey could leave when ever...A cool wind blew, tossing his mane and tail, makign him look...rather charming. In the calmness his mind went to his normal thoughts, mainly what in the world a mare like Magic saw in a stallion like him. But he didn't dwell on such thoughts...

Magic woke, briskly. She smiled seeing Spirit up. He looked so handsome, the wind tossing his mane lightly. She slowly got up and walked up behind him, "Hey Handsome. Whatca lookin at?" she asked as she nuzzled him lovingly. She looked out over the land, taking it in. She felt so free, and relaxed. She was finally alone with him, which was rare. They hadn't had much time to themselves since children came into the picture. She cooed in a soft nicker to him.

Spirit smiled and nuzzled Magic softly. "hello beautiful. sleep well?" he asked. Just being with Magic in his mind, weather or not any one else was around, was a little bit og heaven on earth for him. Of course, that not to say she had never ticked him off...for in fact her few mood swings, or, what he saw as irrational anger, would tip him into anger as well. But, he would never fight with ehr if he could avoid it...the thought of loseing her was horrible.
