She..... noticed. Oh well. Might as well let her. Should not be so stiff around someone he knew, right? Now his hand was slightly warm.... cold. That lasted so short. He caught himself staring at his palm. Hello? Where was it supposed to go? On the fluff pile that was on his lap? The furious petting is not going to hide the blush, poor him. Or more like poor rabbits, they have to deal with the sudden appearance of tiny ice crystals in their fur. But hey, he was doing better at this 'not freezing everything in sight' thing, wasn't he?
His mind clouded over at that thought. Surely whatever entitial threats that might affect her did not apply in this sense? No, he could not afford to be so naive. "Panicking is a natural response, you can try staying as calm as possible, but it is normal to panic in that kind of situation, the focal point of that situation would be getting help as quickly as possible..." And on and on and on. Geez, there was no trouble yet and already someone had launched into panic mode. One game of eyeball pool later, if rolling eyes were visible under those heavily-lidded sockets, and he's snapped back. "I-I mean! Um, just... Just don't do anything you'd regret, okay?" Directly or indirectly. Both. Sure, there were those kinds of 'they' that she could handle without a problem, he was sure of that. He could not be so over-protective of her now, could he? He should have learnt that lesson about protectiveness.
Hey, if anything really did come after them at an amusement park, they could always lose them once they got on the roller coaster, right? "N-No. Just... Ah, hearsay and um, prior experience." And who could forget having to pull a metal bar out of a victim when a ferris wheel collapsed? Such a dangerous place, yet he was still keen on going? "But that was only once! And I didn't even go, so it doesn't count." Suddenly, he was so petulant about it. Why? "You don't have to! Um, really. We can um, enjoy it. Like any other day." Where 'any other day' meant 'any other day that was not filled with stress' maybe. But what's to say that the date would be just 'any other day' either? Well then, best not to think about that, one might think he was trying to tempt fate.

Why did the sight of him staring at his hand make her feel so flustered? Arms pullled in tight, hands up and wringing themselves in loose fists until she just couldn't take it anymore. But rather than give in as expected she gave out instead, torso falling back in a manner that seemed to have been executed almost carefully but still resulted in the sound of a sharp crack as her head hit the floor. The rabbits upon her lap hardly seemed disturbed, shifting only a little afterwards. Seemed she'd done her exasperated fall in a way to specifically avoid them. But really, what was the big deal anyway? With a meek sigh the words made their way out. "...I'd still very much like to hug you, sometime." She should probably leave out the quantifier of 'often' for the time being. The idea presented was likely pretty scary just as it was. Still, weak admission of her own longing expressed, she was quick to spring back up without disturbing the rabbits any further. With certainly a sour expression firmly in place, mostly ignoring what she'd just said in favor of what she'd just done to her herself, rubbing the point of impact and all. When in doubt, crack one's skull? No, that couldn't be right. Could it? It was certainly distracting her enough to make her believe it.
He was acting a little strangely. Wasn't he? The pain made it a little more difficult to tell than it would've been otherwise. Neck bruises and ear bleeding and now a head injury. Having romantic inclinations was a lot more tough than she thought it would be. She was having her usual sort of entertaining thoughts anyway, regardless of her continued comedic suffering. "It's more... fury, than panicking, in my case. Or wrath?" Obliterating things didn't quite equate with panicking, did it? Well, not for her anyway. And hmm. Decisions and regrets, huh? She studied him a little, of course finding nothing as usual upon that perpetually blank face. One might've surmised it was out of habit, but it was more likely that she just liked looking at him. "I can't say I would've expected, well, any of this from the start. But I'd never regret throwing in with you, if that's what you're wondering." Not said so heroically as one might've expected, but said fairly casually while happily petting at the rabbits upon her lap. "I just have to... I just have to keep trying my hardest to make the best decisions I can, for the sake of both of us." With a determined little nod she was satisfied with the conclusion she'd come to in the end. The 'right' decision might have been to just let him go when she'd been warned off... but she never would've agreed to that. Never. So in lieu of doing what was 'correct,' some carefulness would have to do. Right or wrong decisions probably didn't actually have grey areas, but she was surely doing the most she could to make just that.
A wide-eyed curiosity morphed into a closed-eye smile as she figured out just what she thought was going on. "Oh~ You really want to go, don't you?" Of course one childish mind understood another quite well. That sort of understanding made her quite delighted though, more than happy to indulge him. "I'll have to find a good one, then!" Logic factored in for a moment but was summarily dismissed. "Though it might still be a bit cold... doesn't matter!" That'd be nicer for him and she could wear something cute and yes. Biased reasonings beat out logic any day! The reminder that their everyday lives were anything but normal wasn't the nicest thing he could've done, but he'd meant well by it she supposed. Better to play it off in a distracting way. "Oh~ But at the end of an occasion like that you might get lucky!" Exclaimed facetiously and accompanied by her own amused snickering, because that pretty much was still like any other day as far as she was concerned. Oh well. Soothing off his incoming embarrassment was a politeness she owed him, for sure. "Every day with you is fun and danger, isn't it? Being careful is just part of it~" She'd gone back to sipping at her drink in an effort to soothe off her many aches, so she didn't seem to see it as a big deal at all. "We've done all right so far, I think? So maybe... worry a little less, and trust each other a little more. Yes." More nodding followed, but this time it almost seemed necessary that she'd be compliant as well. Had to try to listen to and follow her own advice, oh dear!

"...! Are you alright?" One bang was all it took to get the rabbits flying! In an instant he's behind her, rubbing the spot where her skull made contact with the ground. Gently. He hoped. It was not wise to freeze her scalp now. "If your definition of wrath is this, then perhaps it would be better to wait," he muttered flatly. "It's not going to do much if you hurt yourself." That was a joke, right? Right? With that kind of tone, it was so easily going to be mistaken as a lecture. "But if the both of us happen to be there and there's enough chance of us actually winning, then okay. Maybe a little wrath would be acceptable." A little? From them? Nah. More like no-holds-barred, curb-stomping beatdown! If they could, that is. Right.
Well, she got him good. Looks like even he can't be stoic all the time! "...... Yes," he conceded, after a minute of stiffly glaring at the floor. "How could you tell." If he could pout, he would. Somehow, someone was wondering if Amarante would like to keep a little something, if she was so happy at his childish behavior. Ah no, that was not going to be a good thing. No. Stick to the can, that was a lot easier. Don't get any weird ideas, now!
Or maybe he could just take her up on her suggestion and worry less, worrywart. That was going to take a little getting used to, but well. "I'll... try. Try. I'll still worry a lot, you know that." At least he conceded it! "But... Um... What do you mean by that? What about getting lucky?" Would they find a coin on the way out? Or find something nice to eat on the way back? Or get mobbed by a sudden bunch of curious people, all wanting to know how the date went? It was a private thing, correct? His colleagues are not supposed to know about it, right? Miyabi, Hyde and anyone that took up residence in Amarante's house would not turn up there suddenly, right? "....... Or did you mean unlucky." Such an excitement killer.

He was a doctor and a very serious one at that, but even knowing so didn't prevent her from being surprised by how quickly he'd leapt into action. Not to mention all the rabbits flying around definitely lent themselves to the frantic mood. All of which just made the guilt set in all the more quickly. "S-sorry." Maybe he'd end up noticing the evidence of her other injuries as a result but that was the least of her concerns for the time being. "It hurts, but... the skin isn't broken, so it should heal in a matter of days." It was a little odd, telling a doctor this or that, but it was more relative to her accelerated level of healing rather than any sort of medical knowledge. And drat, somehow he was taking her tantrum as connected to what they'd been talking about. That had to be remedied with quickness! "N-no! It's not like that at all. This is unrelated to that." She hadn't vented loudly and the sound of her injury had likely taken precedence over her soft mumbling. And she really deserved to be scolded over her faulty reasoning, but... she'd tell him anyway. "I'd just... rather hurt myself, than discomfort you." It was an irresponsible way of thinking and the hesitation in her voice indicated she knew as much. No noble intentions in mind, nor was it an effort to maim herself for attention either. That frivolous idea was ruled out even further than it had been previously. It hurt too much! She attempted to nod as part of a reply towards his concession... oh, no. No, nodding was a bad idea. Definitely better to be a little more affirmative through words for a while. "I relish fighting by your side but if we must run, we will." She'd been captured far too many times to have lofty ideas about it not being so bad, for sure.
'Because I love you' would be the cheesy answer. And it'd be true, wouldn't it? But it was a lazy truth, and something still true but more relatable would be a better choice. "Because in some ways we are very much alike, I think." Some of those ways likely being more horrific than anything else, but she smiled peacefully anyway. "And..." Ah, she couldn't say it. It hurt to think about anyway, but hitting her head only made it worse. From her perspective there were so many things he simply couldn't do, whether due to bodily limitations or for reasons of safety. Nevermind the issues of his work and his sentence, too. But she couldn't be offed by his affliction, had a flexible schedule, and was a former prisoner herself! Not perfect, but with the added element of her elevated level of affection for him, perfectly workable. Even if she couldn't help as much as she'd wanted, she could still help a little couldn't she? It was a comforting idea. "We can be ourselves around each other, without fear." It was definitely a superficial feeling of safety she was more than willing to entertain.
The rabbits were nosing their way into their talk again, now that it seemed that the moment of panic was over. Patcchi moreso than the others, pushing past his parents to express his irritation in the form of a glare and a squeak at the source of the previous commotion. Great, now he was guilting her too! "...Sorry." Some petting seemed to be a good beginning for an effort to pacify him. And ah, another opportunity where she wanted to nod but had to refrain. Too bad, because what she felt thanks to his answer was difficult to express with words alone. A great deal of excitement but some fear as well. Surely they both knew better than to get too attached to anyone... but it was happening anyway. She'd long since stopped struggling against it as it seemed to be of no use. Somehow it was easier to manage their misfortunes together, in the end. "Less doesn't mean stop. Because... some worry is just an indication of caring, yes? And I definitely won't stop worrying either, so..." It was a dangerous game, coming too close to further awkward revelations with every moment passed! Quick, make the jump from one awkward subject to the other one!
She really should've figured that her stupid joke would go right over his cute little head. And it was far more awkward to have to explain all of it than it would have been for him to simply get it, but she'd certainly dug her own grave on the matter. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad? Though it was definitely funny, having to explain while surrounded by rabbits of all things. "Heh. 'Getting lucky' is a euphemism. For... for sexual activity." She'd said it. She'd really said it. Numerous bodily injuries provided a certain feeling of unintentional ease when forced to explain her hijinks, though it didn't prevent her from turning a little pink anyway. "Which was presented as a joke, as you already have a long-standing offer regarding that from the likes of me." Simply put, and with a smile too! She'd almost end up looking cool if not for the pink face and the fact that she'd grievously injured herself over the subject only a short while ago. And hmm. With the subject up and a sharp pain tempering her emotions, good of a time as ever, right? A gentle and concerned look settled into her eye. "I hope you know that you're always free to stop me or tell me no. There is never a time where my happiness is more important than yours." Such an angelic statement to be coming from a creature of darkness, but she really meant it. Being honest wasn't without its awkwardness, though, as the feeling of being self conscious definitely started to kick in eventually. "You already know that I want to share as much happiness with you as I can, I mean." Wait, that didn't really help. Her continued efforts to fight awkwardness with other awkwardness wasn't really helping at all. With a sigh, she decided to make the other point of what she'd said more clear. "But yes. Even outside of actions towards your person... I can't defeat you, remember?" Something she'd long since accepted but still couldn't help but look rather sheepish over. "And so... if for whatever reason my killing instinct had been activated and you needed to stop me, you could. Easily, without so much as any superficial injury to yourself." So attached to him that even within the throes of a blood rage she was absolutely sure he could reason with her. Perhaps in some ways that level of trust for him could be used against her, but she was likely well aware of that fact and paid it no mind. So bold!

Sheesh, she must have accidentally fallen on something hard, if something managed to strike her neck and her head at the same time. Looking down, there seemed to be no indication of any object hard enough to do so? Strange. "No you shouldn't. It's not worth it," he snapped, examining both bruises a little more closely. What she said was true, for the head bump that is. She was not bleeding, and any possibility of lumps forming was quickly nullified with cooled vessels. There. But her neck? ".... Um, Ama? Did you fall on something? Or did something hit you on the neck?" he asked. But nope, he dare not touch it. In case she yelped due to pain or something. It's darker than her skin, so had this been here a while? Hmm.
Well, he got an answer to that rhetorical question. "Like sweets? Though I doubt you take your sugar like you're looking for Type 2." But at least he got the idea. And knew better than to immediately demolish it with his pessimism. Let her have her dreams once in a while, hmm? The worrying surely could not be helped, when both are so dedicated to each other. But okay, he was willing to accept it. Not like she was just newly getting onto his worry list anyway! "Meaning we can worry about each other all we like in the presence of either of us?" That certainly was a bit of 'being themselves'. "Or indulge in sweets. Like now." Where was that drink, anyway? Sitting on the ground a little ways away like nobody's business. Must be whatever it was that allowed it to remain standing after that little distress dash.
Did he hear the rest of her explanation? Hello? Earth to Erhard, why isn't he - whump. Oh. Well. Perhaps now he can be used as a hammer, since that block of ice that encased his head looked solid enough to do so, and all because of a simple joke. Maybe the thought of sexual activity, whether presented as a joke or not, was still going to be something he needed to get over. At least he did not fall on her! That would be quite worrisome. Though now it was his turn to be on his back.
Pop! Almost as if it were a comedy, a little hand pushed itself out of a (removable panel? What was this, a mecha cartoon?) and out hops a absolutely tiny (doll? Looks like one, or perhaps one of the cutesy people that wander this medium.), no taller than a stack of two rabbits. It might have simply been a miniature version of the doctor, but this fellow had blue hair, a scruffy grin with possibly human-sized dark red eyes, and absolutely no resemblance. Other than maybe the cute face, but that might have very well been a stylistic mistake.
"Ah! Sorry for the inconvenience, dear Amarante!" he chirps, pulling an equally tiny pickaxe out of the panel with him. Where it came from and how it managed to be there might very well be a mystery. "Erhard will be right back in a moment. You don't mind waiting for a while, do you?" Still laughing to himself, he starts hacking away at the ice, only to have it shatter and splatter against the surface like it was made of painted plasticine that looked awfully like the stuff he was seemingly made of. "Oops." he chuckles, holding up the broken 'pickaxe'. "I forgot how awful this stuff is when it comes to making pointy things."

Seemed that any pained explanations and sarcastic comments would have to wait, as her dear icecube had frozen himself over again. After crawling over to his side she petted at the ice ineffectively as if it were his face. "Ah~ Poor thing." The rabbits had taken notice of the strange doll man first and foremost, scrambling as a mob to hide behind the inattentive Amarante. She probably should've been bothered by the sight. Was it the pain or the situation that accounted for her lack of a real reaction? And since when was he a matryoshka man anyway? Though the reason he'd frozen and opened up in the first place was one she anxiously hurried to make excuses for as she pouted. "B-but, if I'd tried to explain it with further euphemisms he still wouldn't have understood! And he'd asked..." Wasn't as if she'd meant to trigger him. She'd done so well in not overwhelming him lately, too. "And he shouldn't feel forced to do any of it, even if I'd like to, because I love him no matter what, and... why am I telling you all of this??" Such a hilariously agitated expression could be seen on that reddened face of hers. Perhaps her mind had just reconciled with the fact that her idea of privacy with him was anything but and she didn't appreciate the visual cue that her illusion was just that. And she still hadn't the slightest clue of who she was talking to but it certainly was the perfect opportunity for him to tell her and horrify her all the more. Though for the time being, perhaps focusing upon the task at hand would be best. "Would a warm bath be better? We can just put him in there, I mean. Maybe run the shower?" No undressing him and cleaning him while he was practically unconscious. That'd just start the freezing process all over again, wouldn't it? "Or any better suggestion you might have?" Hopefully that didn't involve open flame or further violence, but this guy did seem a little... off.

Her petulant response only elicited an amused chuckle from him. "Oh, don't worry about it. He's just like that!" he replied so chipperly, he might as well be talking about the weather. Parents and their ability to handwave the flaws of their children! "I'm sure he doesn't blame you. Why would he, hmm?" The 'doll' threw the 'pickaxe' back into the panel and slammed it shut with cartoonish exaggeration before twirling it back to her with a huge grin. "Oh no, don't worry about that either! You two always go on your conversations without me, I don't see why this should be any different. Take it as an intermission, then! But do save your ah, declarations of love for him, okay? Even if I hear it, I'm not the intended recipient now, am I?"
He tottered over to the ice block and heaved himself onto it, frowning at the messy image that was supposed to be the doctor's head. "It's just like you to hide once your girlfriend starts with the juicy topics, eh? Well, can't put it past you!" Sure, rub it it, why not? Can the doctor even hear him? Maybe or maybe not, it seemed equally likely for both. "Wouldn't that take too long? Running the water and things. And..." To demonstrate, he hopped off the ice and started pushing against it. Push. Push. Nope, even with the ice melting just enough for it to be somewhat slippery, it was not going anywhere, much to the 'doll's frustration. "Ugh. Sometimes I wish I could carry heavy things too," he grumbled. "Then it'll take just a high - oh! Maybe you could push him off one of the shelves there?" The question would be whether Amarante could carry him all the way up there somehow, but that was not to be considered for an idea so absurd! It did not stop, however. "Or how about... Say, do you have a microwave, Amarante? It'll just be a simple matter of sticking this ice in there and waiting a few minutes, so much easier! And it minimizes the risk of him freezing himself to the bathtub!" Yep, definitely not right in the head, if that expression was still considered applicable for their unusual circumstances. Plus, who would be so amused enough to twirl around like a child if they were supposed to be an adult?

Still with the concerned petting of the ice, with rabbits peeking out from behind her on all sides. Eventually the mystery person was met with a curious look from that kitteny eye of hers. With the comments he was making it almost seemed like he was going out of his way to unsettle her. But also it seemed like he honestly felt left out of conversations he wasn't meant to hear anyway? "I can't say you're the first thing to come to mind when the two of us are having a conversation. And with all you've likely heard do you think I'd just stop worrying about him~?" He had to expect a little sass, being as she considered herself the companion of someone equally as sulky. That said, she returned her attention to the frozen head before her. "Besides. He already knows how I feel, so." More pouting! It'd taken her multiple tries with increasing amounts of directness to get through to him, but she had.
Lips pursed side to side as she watched the doll's approach, his observation led her to do some thinking aloud. "Is he afraid?" Mostly a rhetorical question. Asking not him instead of him wasn't something she wanted to make into a habit. And there was the 'g' word again. "You almost sound disappointed that he froze over before you could hear more." Though for the likes of him there was likely more interest in watching people squirm rather than the subject that caused said squirming. Her arms ended up crossed over her chest as a result, remembering just how much of her he'd seen. And she didn't even know so much as his name! How vexing. But she had to get along with him, so. On to those suggestions. Did he really think those were any better? It'd take out the ice, surely, but it'd take out the rest of what was attached to his neck too. No way! "A portable heater, perhaps? He won't like the heat, but..." Some complaining once he was cognizant again seemed preferable to the results of the doll's ideas. "I'd rather not have his head explode, if it's all the same to you." Said so casually, too. Well, he'd surely be fine even so. But the clean-up? And the resulting sight? No, no no. No.

"Hmm, I'd wager more of panicked, if you know what I mean." Poor, poor Erhard. Too dense to deal with girls, and too dense to even know what to do when dealing with girls. Well, that was his problem, not the doll's. Sure, it was amusing. Who would not laugh, anyway? Though, it made it all the more funnier, considering that this person was also privy to both sides of this little rom-com. "Hmm, guess not! And as much as I'd like to suggest waking him with a true love's kiss from you, I'd also like to not be the herald of the next ice age." Did he seriously treat this as a fairytale? With that happy grin, maybe. Oh boy. Even before they properly knew each other, he was going to be such a pain. "But at least you know the way to his heart now! It's right through his chest and over the ice wall." Sparing no expense at the jokes now, huh. Too bad the flush of extreme embarrassment would not be enough to thaw his own head out.
Aww, she was so caring! Okay, he had to let her be nice. It was her romance story after all, he was not supposed to be getting in the way of today's episode! "Okay, good enough. I hope you've got a tub or something for this ice, there's going to be enough to bathe all your pets in, I think!" he laughed, tilting his head to mimic one of the rabbits. "I see you! Hello!" Hey, get back to trying to solve the cold case in the room instead of getting distracted with bunnies!
"Oh yeah.... Hey, I suppose it's kind of rude for a stranger to be saying all this." Such a sudden, perhaps not even important change of topic? "You don't know who I am, right?" he asked, stuffing his nubby hands into his pockets. "Or to rephrase it, you don't want to know?"

Having been noticed by someone they considered unfamiliar, the rabbits began a ridiculous game of investigate and flee as small animals were wont to do. Check out the situation... but no, don't get too close! Quick, hide behind the icy body that's on the floor for some reason before he notices! Then investigate some more! Their leader was too busy being occupied by looking over said body in question to feel like playing, though. "I want to help him. I wonder if I can." Mostly just talking to herself again, but they definitely weren't words that were limited to her current quandary. And ah, why'd he have to go and make quips like that? Once again any bit of her skin that was visible just ended up red. It was enough to try to balance out their various issues and levels of inexperience with the idea that it was just the two of them. But with the very visible and audible reminder that wasn't the case, and with said reminder seeming to be having quite a bit of fun at their expense to boot? Would the quiet he was met with and just how painfully shy they were about their situation just be all the more hilarious to him? Nope, no one would blame him for laughing.
She was surprised by the sudden cordial turn in the conversation. "'Don't want to know'? Nothing of the sort." Had he forgotten his own decision regarding all that? Or was any one body really so unlucky to not only have one but two dense fellows in it? "I asked before who you were and you said it didn't matter. Does it matter now~?" Perhaps she'd soon regret her cheeky presentation of that question. That smart comment aside she was pleasant enough, having likely long since accepted that the person she loved wasn't the only one present within his bodily composition. "I can't say I mind either way. But if we're going to keep meeting like this it wouldn't hurt for it to be on familiar terms." She hadn't been met with any hostility so she saw no reason to be sour over the matter. But she was definitely wishing and hoping as hard as she could that any said meetings with the thus far stranger would continue to be lacking in true awkwardness as they had been. Sure, they'd been a little inconvenient and all containing some level of embarrassment for the frozen man in question. But it could be much worse. So, so much worse. Perhaps she'd have to remind herself of that the next time she had any sort of wild idea of just 'going for it,' as it were.
With the pretense that she hadn't just been emotionally vulnerable and all flushed in the face moments before, Amarante sat up straight to actually address the ongoing problem. "Mm. My bathroom should do nicely, and make any clean-up that might follow fairly simple." What was visible of her brow ended up furrowed as she looked down at the icy head and was obvious to the further issues that would have to be dealt with. "I'll likely have to move him myself, though." She, overwhelmed by the idea of touching him. He, overwhelmed by being touched. If the doll had wanted to witness an amusing sight, this would likely be it. There was really no other way though, provided that she wanted to go with her sensible idea and not just end up breaking his head off in random events of violence. Wishing to convey her message and make it easier for him if she possibly could, she ended up taking up the nearest of his hands into both of hers. "I think it would help if I carried you, so your neck doesn't snap. Is that all right?" If he could in fact hear her. Wasn't as if he could say so. Couldn't even so much as nod. But through their hands maybe some sort of understanding could be found. Wasn't much other choice in the situation at hand. Though it really wouldn't do to have him surprised, freezing further and catching her and any number of rabbits in the process. But putting herself into a perilous situation as an effort to try to help him was just like her, wasn't it?

"Nope! It still doesn't matter. You didn't ask him either afterwards, that was what I was curious about." Sneaky sneaky, that was a test of judgement, was it not? "Which is not a bad thing, don't get me wrong. Even if I don't fancy that control of curiosity myself, it sure plays in tandem with his worries between work and you, heh." Oh yes, bring up the oh-so-dangerous work that she had to keep away from at all costs again. That would keep her curiosity at bay. Yeah. "Ah, you know what? Never mind about it, loosen up a little! The both of you are always so stiff around each other, like he froze your clothes and you strapped him to a heater." Bad choice of euphemisms to anyone else with proper knowledge of fear, but then what else was he exempt to? He seemed amused by his own choice of words, enough to start laughing hysterically. Probably hysterical too, this guy. "Ohh.... Okay, okay. A bath would do. Just be careful to watch his mouth if you don't want frostbite." So many cringe-tastic puns. Someone stop him quick before the library freezes over and he pins the blame on the one who can do it literally!
Maybe he heard? The hand Amarante picked up would probably have crushed hers with the sudden force it clenched with, but what was the likelihood of being awake when his head was encased in ice? Or those red eyes twitching so slightly as they swivel to stare unblinkingly at her, his gaze only hindered by the light reflecting off the cracks?
But the mischievous one had other things to worry about than the stoic one's imminent rage. Now, about those woffly furballs that were peeking over the ice barricade! "Blargh. Bleebegehbloooh." He was the kind of person to use an essentially shapeshifting ability to pull goofy faces at timid bunnies instead of oh, turning into a harness to help her carry the frozen body instead of risking the library turning into the Arctic? "Gooblegooblegooble. Well, what are you waiting for?" he asked, pausing mid-contortion to watch Amarante for a while. "Waiting for hell to freeze over, perhaps?"

Again. She'd thought she could reason with the strange man but had been duped again! Her ego had been spared with some careful wording but she'd still ended up looking like quite the fool. Poor Erhard, presumably having to deal with this guy all the time. With a sigh she admitted defeat. Sort of. "Knowing or not knowing hardly changes things, does it?" She couldn't hide that hint of irritation but her opinion was still as she had stated. "You're not going anywhere and neither am I~" With the gloating air that was creeping into her voice it was clear that she considered it to be a stalemate even if she was sure he'd find some way to dismantle her pride. "Besides. A confidant takes what's given and doesn't demand." And it seemed he wouldn't even have to wait to provoke further reactions out of her as his previous words began to sink in a little more. "It's not... it's not that simple!" Her head ended up tilted to the side as she thought it through. "Is it?" With as much head shaking as her injured self could bear she dismissed the idea pretty quickly. "He's not delicate, but he does require care. Important things often do." Such noble words that would likely end up as a subject for satire for the person that ended up hearing them. Oh well! Wouldn't have stopped her from saying them, resolute little creature that she was.
Only to become hot in the face all of a moment later. "It... it won't be an actual bath! Geez~" So easily flustered by even such a vague idea. Balmy thoughts of baths and being covered in icy marks weren't doing much for her resolve. Somehow it was easier to deal with the issue in front of her? The feeling of that hand within hers likely aided in providing her with a rudimentary sense of calm, anyway. It was so tempting to press that hand to her heart... no no, no continued distractions thanks to her own fanciful thoughts when she was needed. Carefully putting that hand down, the first thing she did was simplify the path from point a to point b. Circling her index finger in a wide motion she opened a temporary door between their current location and the destination, circular in shape and outlined with her red energy signature. The rabbits were quick to escape through it, taking refuge in the bathroom. That prepared, she approached him carefully with arms at the ready. One hand to support the area of the head and the opposite arm under the knees. Simple enough. "You can hold on if you'd like, but it's not necessary if you can't," she soothed, hoping at least the calm tone of her voice could be heard. Taking the weight of the ice between her hand and her upper torso first and foremost, from there supporting the rest of his body seemed simple. The unwieldy part had been steadied and she held him as if he were something precious indeed. Firmly, but not so tightly as to crush him. Holding him wasn't so bad. Cold, but something she considered nice. Of course. She'd only thought about it for how long and how often? The feeling of the ice on his head cutting at the areas of her skin it was in contact with was more than enough to keep her motivations on track, though. With as little movement of her head as possible her eye rolled over as she addressed the doll before she turned to leave. "Coming?"

Well, that only made him dissolve into more laughter, enough to send him rolling on the floor for a while. "He's about as delicate as he physically is, yes! Never mind his complaining, he can totally take whatever he gets." Really, what kind of parent can say that about their child? "I know he's really going to love getting pampered by you though! It sure would be nice to get off work after a long day and go get dinner with someone so nice, eh?" And then more laughing. Was it possible for him to stop for more than a minute? The only person that might know and was readily accessible was unfortunately unable to say anything, but the sizzling glare piercing through the ice probably held all the messages that needed to be burnt into that doll's head.
"Oh, yes yes. Right away!" Surprise, for someone seemingly constructed out of the same material as the doctor, he can run. And oh dear, can he run! Run, little bunnies! Before he starts pulling faces again! Even the three-meter boundary so obstructive to the doctor was nothing compared to the tiny person's fervent tottering! Past the portal, laughing as he went, nubby hands out in front to try and catch any of those scampering furballs. Which of course, was a rather futile thing to do when one was hardly much bigger than them, so he ended up sitting on the floor of the bathroom, still laughing away so happily. "You're already so old, you still need someone to bathe you? Ahaha!"
Well, at least Erhard seemed resigned to let Amarante carry him to the bathtub. Better a nice cradle than getting hauled into a microwave, after all! But maybe he should not bring that up with Amarante. If the both of them decided that a competition, or heck, even a team effort of absurd ideas was in the works.... Okay, that would be the day he would get out the scalpels and excise those extras eyes and willingly settle for a life sentence. Even his hands, stiff as they already were, chilled at that thought. And yes, the doll would notice. And as expected, laugh. It was a wonder no one got curious enough to pop in and see what was so funny.

Further sighing followed as she padded after all of the scampering creatures, frozen doctor in tow and portal closing behind her. Despite the usual teasing a little happiness might've been visible on her face anyway, being that she was able to carry him without anything else going wrong. Ignoring the ice she still found the coldness to be quite nice. And he smelled nice, too. To her, anyway, with whatever he happened to smell like. Illness and antiseptic? Sugar and death? Any and all of those things? Well, someone as biased as herself would consider all of those things 'nice' regardless just because it was him.
Tiny rabbit feet attempting to find traction upon a floor made up of glossy black marble tile was quite the amusing sight but they eventually made progress, scattering in all directions over the oversized bathroom. Though many of the surfaces and usual utilities were of the same black marble it seemed more like another parlor of hers complete with plenty of drapery and some settees. And though a few different shower facilities and bathtubs were visible upon entry she overlooked them, pushing towards the inner chamber of the room that'd just been entered. Probably wasn't surprising that a person that enjoyed bathrooms and bathing as much as she did had multiple opportunities for bathing to the point of having a room within a room.
As the door was left ajar a foot's nudge was all it took to take him inside. Of course she'd take him to her prettiest and best bathtub, if only for the sake of sheer size. How confusing and conflicting that feeling was, taking him somewhere she'd very much like to have him in normal circumstances for anything but. Just as well. She'd ignore it. On to getting him settled in! It was more black marble, of course, and quite a bit of it. Within the marble base was an inset tub, black and lotus-shaped. Above was a skylight and the walls it was pressed against were mirrored. Though the massive vessel was set into one of the corners of the small room it still managed to take up a great deal of the available space. Taking social baths with multiple friends required the right type of tub, after all. Though instead of being full of food and drink as per usual one of the tub's wide ledges against the wall would be filled with a frozen head for the time being. Another advantage for using the big tub! His head on the ledge and body in the bathtub itself, she went about retrieving the portable heaters from the closet. One on one side of his head, one on the other, both set to low and not so close as to burn him. They were meant to heat an entire room so maybe a high setting wouldn't be necessary to heat a head. She made an attempt to compensate just in case. "Try to give us a sign if you're not doing all right, okay~?" Well, as 'all right' as someone with a head encased in ice could be, anyway. Leaving him a towel she retreated a short distance to a pile of pillows and cushions on the floor against the opposite wall to take a look at her scrapes and wait. A few on her chest and a few on her hand. Not a big deal. Some of the rabbits had ended up in the pillows too, some already resting and some crawling around curiously in their usual fashion. Maybe the doll would join them as well?

"Oh, that's going to take forever! Why not turn it up?" squealed the doll, sliding into the inner bathroom to join them and clumsily trying to hoist himself into the tub to do the job himself. Well, those arms were a little too small... Okay, maybe way too small. How would a small thing with a disproportionate head and arms barely long enough to touch the top of it get into a tub meant for normal-sized people? A few minutes later he gave up, settling instead for flopping face-down on the middle of the floor to wait. "Mmm.... It's so nice to be in a warmer place once in a while. You have noooo idea." Funny, he actually relished warmth, even rolling as close as he could to the heaters, even if they were too high to reach. "It's so much better than staring at blank walls and shivering! And he has the nerve to tell me he doesn't want to wake up and smell the flowers every day!"
Surprisingly, for such a large chunk of ice, it took a little over ten minutes to melt, so a little over ten minutes of the doll's complaining. Most of it was gone by then, leaving a wet trail where the excess water trickled down into the tub and a head still dripping with cold water. He lay there dazed for a few more moments, staring at the eyes that stared back at him that looked like his own but only - ah! The shock, the horror! He got sent sprawling back, still so very, very unnerved at staring at his own reflection. And of course, friction decided that today was a good day to live up to its lack thereof! Next thing he knew, his head was at the bottom of the tub with a throbbing pain stabbing into its back and his feet were in the air.
The doll had sat up at that loud thud, and the resulting sight brought that grin back to his face. Oh no, not again. That obnoxious laughter rang throughout the inner bathroom. And apparently, someone was more than annoyed by it, perhaps by his rage being bottled for the past few minutes, for with a battle cry, the newly-thawed medic gets back up, swings his legs over the edge of the bath as the doll starts trying to run away... Only to have his wet feet thwart him once more and send him crashing to the floor, striking his forehead against the tiles and leaving his feet dangling over his head.
"Hmm... That sounds like an egg on the kitchen counter. Did you forget to fill up your head today, Erhard?" sang the doll, dancing just out of reach to the tune of his frustrated moan.
