"Think nothing of it, Mrs. Namida." she looks over at Boda. "Yes, Chief Warrant Officer?"

Aleron smiled. "Wonderful." he said, turning and reaching into a tank that was out of sight. He pulled out a mechanical MOUSE, used for surveillance, and a live mouse. "Pick a plant." he challenged.

1: Almost glowing a dim green, it looked like a mass of vines around a central bulb.
2: Seemed like a mini-version of a weeping willow, but orange.
3: A beautiful, bright red rose-like bundle of thorny flowers.
4: Seemingly empty other then small little blue flowers that rested on the surface. Below, able to be seen via the glass, was a huge mass of black roots that seemed to basically have replaced the dirt under the flowers.
5: Seemed like a normal Venus Fly Trap, but purple.
6: The most noticable, mainly because over the whole tank was a black sheet, and under the sheet was a blue glow.

Miya blinked and looked at all the plants, then the...mouse? Oh, that couldn't be good... If her life-sense wasn't already fuzzy from so much life, she wouldn't pick any of the plants for fear of what would happen to the mouse. Animal pain hurt more than plant pain, though thankfully less than human pain.

Still...she knew she had to pick something. There were two that really caught her interest. "Um...how 'bout the one with all the little flowers?" she asked cautiously, still worried about the fate of the mouse. If he'd let her see another after that, she definitely wanted to see that blue glowing one...

Boda smiled and nodded. "Yes Ma'am."
Boda looked back through the kitchen and found some soup and a decent sandwich. He sat back down at the table with Gin and the Commander. He started eating, not wanting to take his time when there was work to be done. He ate his sandwich quickly and the contents of his soup and relaxed a little, seeing how quickly he woofed his food down then sipped on the broth and coffee until the broth was gone and he needed a warm up on his coffee. He threw away his trash and refilled his cup then came back out to the table with a wet cloth and cleaned his area up.
Boda was eager to get his hands on some equipment, figure out the logistics and meet the rest of the crew. While the commander and Gin were talking he walked around the galley, keeping close but looking at all the nice motivational posters. Boda chucked looking at one, Nothing like a nice military poster to give you some false motivation. he thought.

"I don't know if I'd say i'm the expert but so far I've managed to survive" she said. So she supposed that made her close enough. She got food similar to Bodas

"This all started.. " she frowned. How long had it been? She had completely lost track of time during all this. For all she knew she could have been dealing with all this for a year!

"Uh.. what's the date?" she asked. Once she found out she thought about it, and then said

"It started about three or.. four weeks ago. It was a pretty ordinary day till the alarms went off. I had no clue what was going on. First the power went hawire, and I had a lot of people coming in with injuires, bites things like that" she said

"I treated them as quickly as I could, and slowly I started to hear about people.. changing. They became those.. things" she said to her shaking her head

"I don't know what started it or how exactly things spread, I do know peopl who are bitten usually change into them. " she added pointedly

"For the ones that have the tenticals, you shoot the head or sever the tentical and it dies pretty quickly, Before I became isolated they were nick named Gabbers because they just.. grab you suddenly. The other ones, like the ones in the hall we called them Blades, due of cource, to the fact the have blades on them. I'm not sure why but always get the limbs first. Some of them It really seems to slow them down. Others not so much. Just.. blast them till they are swiss cheese and bits and peices is the only way to ensure they won't keep coming after you " she said to her as she ate. Slower then Boda since she'd not had much on her stomach

((Ukaia; I'm glad you're naming them. I've been thinking of having Aleron do the same with the specimens that come in. Grabbers, Blades...I was thinking of calling the 'Blades', 'Shrieks' since AnCat said that's what they do, and that's a pretty good IDing quality.))
