"Good." Kai said rubbing his hands together. "You always have the best snacks laying around." he teased gently with a smile. Kai rubbed Ayra's shoulder gently, he wasn't about to let her face this on his own.

Zera stared at the data-pad, thinking on the meeting and what the future held. He snorted and tucked the data-pad in his satchel, tossing aside the dark thoughts. He looked around at the other representatives of the races, deciding the risk of keeping the overly war-like Marines in the dark, might lead to unfavorable conditions.

Sherad smiled at Arya "Have a nice night Arya, treat the clam now as you would eternal peace" he cocked his head to the side, still smiling "Sorry, I think the last of the smoke is just now getting out of my mind..." he chuckled to himself.

Brother Mathias looked down at Jessica, cocking an eyebrow at her "My men are not destroying the landscape on purpose Ma'am, they are simply fighting as they should" he stated flatly, watching as another pair of Marines sparred with chainswords.
The whirling baldes could cut through even the marines armor, yet the two blades never touched their armor. One mis-step and a limb could be hacked off, or a jagged gash that would be fatal to any. Watching the two were many other marines, cheering and stomping as the two thrust and parried in the whirl of combat.

Arya laughed lightly, her smile softening as he rubbed her shoulder, a hand coming up to touch his before returning to her side. "Natasya, keep having fun with Sherad. You two really are adorable together." She told the fairy quickly before she and Kai vanished in a flash of light.

When they reappeared they were in her home, in the holding cell for her siblings, noticing that Nathanial and Yuki were already sitting on the couch, Jarrod in one of the chairs. "Now that thats done with. Did you look at the information I left? It's what I was just explaining to them back at the meeting." She murmured, letting her one wing appear. It took energy to keep it out of sight, and she didn't have much anymore.

Jarrod nodded solumely, noticing that the twins did the same. "Yeah. I marked down everything I could remember about the Brotherhood." He murmured, an almost guilty expression passing over his face as he saw her single wing. No companion to it. "Hello Kai." He murmured, addressing the neko with a nod, bowing his head so he didn't have to see what he had done to his older sister.

"Very good. I'm so glad I don't have to interrogate you, I don't need that added-" She stopped midsentance and seemed to freeze, her feathers seeming to puff out and stand on end much like a cat. I'm home. She had heard it, her eyes widening as she looked at her half-siblings, walking slowly to a chair so she could lean against it. "He's come back... " She whispered, her wing relaxing as a soft smile spread across her features. Finally that void that she had almost filled was back and empty no longer, her other half had returned.

Blinking a bit, she exhaled slowly, her forehead resting in her palm. "As I was saying, I don't have the energy for interrogation so it's a good thing you wrote it all down."

"I had to dig into his mind and help him recall a lot of it." Yuki told her elder sister, biting her lower lip as she heard the news. "It's good to see you Kai." She smiled sweetly to the neko, brushing her wavy hair behind her ears. She exhaled slowly with a warm smile to see Arya happy and feeling a bit better, even if it faltered when she saw her resting her forehead in her hand. "I wonder if he's changed a lot...."

"You know he'll have changed somehow." Nathanial teased his sister, chuckling as she stuck her tongue out at him. "I'm sorry you had to see us under such circumstances Kai." He looked up to his sisters friend with a small smirk, turning his gaze to his sister. "Arya, go eat something and rest. Can't have Malachai seeing you in this sorry state." He leaned forward and patted her arm, a warmth spreading through her arm from him.

She smiled to all her siblings, the emotional warmth that Nathanial had given to her calming. "True. He'll have my head for not taking care of myself." She replied, her eyes resting on Jarrod as he refused to look up. "Once I've reviewed what you have written, you are free to go. If you wish to stay, you may. But for heavens sake look up and stop keeping your head down like a dog thats been whipped!" She let her wing fold to her back, smiling gently to Jarrod as she went over to him and kissed his forehead. "Try to stay out of trouble." She murmured before heading for the door, looking back to Kai with a tired smile. "Time to get badgered around hm?" She chuckled to herself, starting up the stairs when she was sure he was following.

When they had appeared into the room Kai had just stared at Jarrod. The man would have to live with what he had done to his sister. "Nice to see you too Yuki. You haven't been around the sky castle's market much lately. You're missing alot of good buys... I hear Shreal just got in a new shipment of cloths from our textile places in the east." he replied to Yuki. "Don't worry about it." he stated simply to Nathanial.

When Ayra stated that Malachi had come back, Kai relaxed a bit. His friend had been gone for so long... Malachi, Ayra, and Kai had all grown up together and it had hurt Ayra alot when Malachi had to leave. Kai had made a promise to Malachi to keep Ayra safe... Boy was he going to have somethings to explain to Malachi now. Which meant new brusies... Malachi was caring and kind, but he was also very fast to anger and violence when it involved those he loved getting hurt.

Kai followed Ayra up the stairs. "Does this mean we get to eat those delicious snacks now?" he joked, in a voice that was made to sound like that of a child's.

Natasya watched her friend leave, frowning a little. Something was definitely wrong with her. Something had happened. What, she didn't know, but Arya's aura wasn't as brilliant a white as it normally was. Blinking as she heard Sherad was speaking to her, she looked up, smiling to him with a small giggle. She brushed the hair from his face, her golden eyes shimmering. "It's fine my love. I was waiting for the come down after all that smoke." She smiled cutely, herself still clearing it from her system. At least she somehow could keep her head. how she did that, she had no idea.

Jessica folded her arms over her chest, removing her lab coat since she was done with her duties for the day. She actually hated wearing them, the fabric itched her skin. She also turned her gaze towards the fighting marines, sighing as she followed the movement of their weapons. "Can they at least try not to knock down anymore tree's? I could hear the crashes from my home. And who knows, there may be a life form that is tied to the tree's and is getting offended or something...." She stopped herself since she was starting to ramble, her dark hair falling in front of her face on one side. If she were on Earth and among the company of a couple of friends, they would have teased her about looking emo because of her hair.

Yuki blushed a little and sighed, her eyes widening at what he was telling her. "Get out! I haven't been able to go because I've been busy helping Nathanial with his work. After all, we are more powerful when together." She pointed out, knowing he would understand what she meant. Though they held their individual powers, when they were around each other, they complimented the other in such a way as to increase their power by threefold. They were nowhere near as powerful when Arya and Malachai fought together, but they weren't too far behind. "I'll have to try and get to the markets soon then! Thanks for telling me Kai. Take care." She waved to him as he went out with their older sister, immediately turning to her twin brother to start discussing a schedule.

Arya couldn't help but smile as she watched them talk among each other, it did bring back memories. She tilted her head a little as she noticed worried thoughts brushing against her mind, looking back to him as she paused at the top of the stairs to wait for him. "If he goes after you, he'll deal with me, ok?" She winked, laughing at his joke. "Of course. They are right-" She didn't really get to finish as a shadowed figure suddenly appeared in front of them. She immediately went for her sword, but paused, straightening as she let go.

"Is that really how you greet your twin after being gone for a good many years?" A smooth, yet almost gruff voice asked, the cloak parting to allow some cooler air to come in. "And what happened for you to receive the punishment of Single Separation?" Malachai's tone had grown more serious, turning on Kai whom was there. "I thought I left her in your care Kai. Care to explain?" His voice sounded warm at first, but there was such an edge and bite of anger to it that he felt his sister wince from where she was standing.

Arya felt the grin take it's time spreading across her features. He really had come back. Her smile faltered as she cleared her throat at his question, stepping forward to hug him tightly so he couldn't get near Kai. "Now now brother, it was my decision. It was either this or have Jarrod, Nathanial, and Yuki declared fallen and outcast of our community." She murmured into his ear, telepathically telling him everything of that situation. "Don't be mad at Jarrod, he's already ashamed enough as it is. He won't look at me." She told him quickly, pulling away slowly as she sighed happily. That was when she noticed he had four wings, and that his feathers were black. True, last time she had seen him, the tips of his white wings were speckled black, but apparently they had gone black entirely.

"You two go ahead and get settled, I'll get those tasty snacks you want so Kai." She winked with a giggle, god it was good to have him back. She almost seemed to skip as she walked to the kitchen, her feet carrying her through the living room of her rather large home.

Malachai felt his anger dissipate as she hugged him, he had almost forgotten she had that effect on him. Both good and bad. He mused, folding his four wings, giving no expression as she told him all of what had caused this situation. If she hadn't told him to leave Jarrod be, he would have been in for a beating of a lifetime. He cocked his head as he watched her bustle off, he could tell how exhausted she was. "She hasn't quite been right since I left, has she?" He asked softly, turning his crimson eyes to Kai, his dark hair outlining his face. He pulled off his cloak and left it on the wrack as he headed into the lounge/living room, his wings vanishing from view as he sat down on the couch. The couch curved around one of the corners, extending halfway down each wall. He sighed heavily as he sat down, groaning a little. It had been a long trip.

Kai plopped down in a chair next to Malachai. "She's been pushing herself into her work ever since you left... It wasn't very nice to disapear like that on her you know." he said sighing as he leaned his head back. "And I'm afraid you picked an interesting time to come back. Apparently the stories about Bolygó Evő were true... And we've just happened to catch the little bugger's eye." he revealed, sitting back up. "She needs you now more then ever. We're going to need everyone together on this one if we're going to survive this." he added his voice sounding a bit sad.

Malachai rubbed his eyes a bit, snapping his fingers so that his armor started to shift, the shadows seeming to curl around his body like a mist, leaving only his head exposed. When they left his form, his armor had changed into something that was a bit less.... restricting and stuffy. He'd been wearing the damned thing for too long in his opinion. Change was necessary.

When Kai answered him, he grimaced, leaning back against the couch, his elbow resting on the back in a rather lazy fashion. He was quiet, though at the mention of Bolygó Evő, he snapped to attention, his eyes reflecting some form of alarm. He ran his hand across his chin, then resting his elbows on his knee's as he rested his chin against his clasped hands. He remained silent until Kai was done, even for a moment later than that, finally straightening as he glanced towards the kitchen. "I was afraid that Bolygó Evő would come. There was a reason I left Kai, and I hate it when my hunches are correct." He muttered, running a hand through his hair to pull it back from his face. "I knew that if I tried to explain why I was leaving, both of you would insist upon coming with me. I couldn't have that. Hence why I left, "disappeared" as you so adequately put it. I hated that I had to, but I did. It was upon order of the High Council and a few other leaders on this planet." He explained, looking at Kai with an even gaze, he knew he must seem older now than he did before.

"I think she knew that I didn't truly want to leave you both behind, but for the most part she didn't. I wish she wouldn't bury herself in work though... I told the Council to go easy on her." He seemed frustrated that they hadn't listened to him when he was their "gem" as they once said to him. So was his sister. He was quiet for another moment in thought, sensing his half-siblings downstairs. "So the humans are here then." He mumbled under his breath, glancing towards the kitchen then Kai once more. "Oh I'm not leaving again. I'm here to stay. I wouldn't do this to you both again." He reassure him, frowning at the sad tone he had taken. "We'll have help. I can't tell you more than that, but we will. But yes indeed! We will need everyone and that includes those trigger happy marines." He knew it might throw Kai off, or not considering how long they had been friends, that he already knew phrases that they were using and some of what was going on.
PostPosted: Sat Nov 01, 2008 7:53 pm

Kai shook his head slowly. "I don't doubt you Malachai... I've know you and your strange ways to long not to trust what you say... But you do know how I hate to be kept out of things. It was rather boring without you around to beat up on." he added, filing away that Malachai seemed to know so much after he'd been gone this entire time awat for later. Kai slapped his hands on his knees and stood up slowly. "Shall we go to the kitchen then?" he asked breathing in deeply. "Whatever your sister is making sure smells good." Kai patted Malachai's shoulder when the man had stood up. "Don't worry so much. You and you're sister need to learn that in the most dangerous times is when we need to relax the most... Or moth of you are going to give yourselves strokes." he joked smiling, glad that his friend was finally back.

Malachai smirked, he did know that very well. He couldn't believe he had almost forgotten how good it felt being around them both again. "I do know that my friend. Oh was it really? I hope you weren't beating up on the others too much, hm?" He chuckled, watching him rise. He sniffed the air as well, his brows furrowing before he took another whiff. "You know you didn't have to Arya." He smiled softly, pushing himself up slowly, suddenly, and briefly, feeling like an old man. "I know. But it's both of your favorites! We can't not celebrate you coming home!" He shook his head a little with a light chuckle as he heard her giggle inside his head. "Me? Worried? What do you take me for?" His laugh boomed across the room, his arm encircling Kai's shoulder, giving his arm a good pat. "No, Arya worries far more than me. I may over think things, but I don't over worry." His expression was one of calm, the smile barely noticeable.

He then started towards the kitchen, he could almost taste the luscious dish that she was making. It was funny that she could make it even better than he could now. He snuck up behind her and carefully hugged her from behind, being mindful of the smooth part of her back where her wing used to be.

Arya jumped a little out of surprise, just arranging the food on the plate at that moment. "Jeez! you'll make me drop them Malachai!" She laughed, looking up to the two of them. She seemed to pout a little, part of her not processing how she was reverting back in the years. "No fair. Now I'm reminded of my shortness." She sighed, picking up the tray with tea and snacks, taking it back out into the living room. "You know you guys could have stayed put." She pointed out, setting the tray down on the coffee table.
PostPosted: Sat Nov 01, 2008 8:43 pm

"You know I can't stay put when there's food just waiting to be eaten." Kai joked, as he followed Ayra to the coffee table. "Especially when the cooking smells so amazing." he raved. "Ooops! I'll get the tea!" he said, dashing into the kitchen before either one could follow. They needed sometime alone, he thougth smiling as he pulled down the tea pot. Things just felt... better with everyone back together again.

Arya sighed, shaking her head even though she laughed lightly, her cheeks flushing at the compliment to her cooking. "Well thank you. I was just hoping I haven't lost my touch since I haven't made this in forever." She blinked when he suddenly ran off, glancing down to the teapot and cups on the tray, but knew why he had run off. She looked up to her brother, just staring at him for a good moment before she moved, pulling some stray crystals from his hair. "Why did you leave without a word Mal?" She asked in almost a whisper, using his nickname without thinking about it. "Oh, has Kai explained the situation in part?"

Malachai had to resist the urge to snatch one of the cookies up and gobble it down, his eyes following Kai's quick escape before he looked down to his sister. He gave her a smile that held his guilt and sadness, catching her hands as she was lowering them, briefly noting the crystals she was pulling out. "He did. But I already suspected it before I left. That Bolygó Evő would be intrigued by our worlds." He said softly, having her sit down with him, making her wing vanish for her since he knew she probably wasn't up to it.

"I... I left without a word because if I tried to explain what I was going to be doing, you and Kai would have insisted upon coming. I know how stubborn and headstrong you are." He tapped her nose lightly, smirking briefly as he saw her wriggle it. "The High Council requested me to go on a mission of sorts and it was under the table if you catch my meaning. So, I left. I'm really sorry Arya. I kept worrying that you would do this to yourself. Work until your on the verge of collapsing and it could jeopardize what you are doing." he placed his hands on her shoulders, seeing how she had bowed her head, telekinetically moving her hair aside. He let her rest against him, his arm sliding around her shoulder.

Arya took in what he told her silently, seeming much like he had been after Kai had spoken to him while she was in the kitchen. Thus was the way of twins. It was another moment before she finally raised her eyes to him, sighing heavily. "I'm not jeopardizing my work, but I'm doing less than I was before actually. Only reason I have so much of it now is because of the discovery. The High Council is allowing me some time to rest given...." She glanced back to where her wing used to be, feeling his hand take hers again. "You aren't leaving again?"

He shook his head, pulling her into a hug, kissing her forehead softly as he ran a hand through her hair. It had always soothed her when she was upset, he remembered that from when they were kids. "No, I'm not leaving. My time away has been fulfilled. Now it's time to talk to the Council. I will be taking over half of your work." Malachai told her firmly, feeling her nod against his chest after a minute's thought. "I didn't think you'd complain. You need the rest more than I do. Little Miss Over Working Worrier." He teased her, tickling her sides, hearing her squeal, making him laugh.

Oh now it was time for payback! She giggled and squealed and screamed as he tickled her, catching his hands with telekinesis as she got him back. She heard him cry, "No fair!" But it was his own fault for starting it. She gave a semi-evil laugh, getting him to fall over backwards on the couch, her bright laugh soon rising from her. She pushed herself up and let his surrender be official, picking up a cookie for herself, nibbling on it as she glanced towards the kitchen. "Gee, I guess we're gonna have to eat all of these by ourselves. We're gonna get sick if we do though! Whatever shall we do?" She called in a voice that was obviously too loud and meant for Kai to hear. Aaaaannnnddd.... now they waited.

Tanya had gotten up slower then she should have, for she was unable to catch Arya, arriving just as she and Kai disappeared in a flash of light.
Oh well, she would see her soon again anyway.
Instead she flapped her wings, again reminded of Arya's new inability to do so herself, and rose into the air. She wasn't even yet sure where she was going, and just flew.
And she found herself over near the marines again. She kept a decent range around their premises and landed lightly in a tree.
It was her insatiable curiosity that had brought her here, she knew it. So, from the tree, Tanya watched unseen as far as she knew, as two of the marines sparred with each other while a crowd of them watched. She studied them, their fighting techniques and such, out of habit, and perhaps even, anticipation.

"Cookies!" Kai shouted, happily as he materlized in a gust of air and pounced and the cookies like a cat. Gobbling down a few he sat down on the floor next to the table and poured them all some tea. "HMMMMMM! Still the best cookies EVER!" Kai raved, dipping another cookie into his tea and nibbling on it.
PostPosted: Sun Nov 02, 2008 11:47 am

Arya couldn't help but laugh after she swallowed, she had counted down and he arrived right on the dot. She did cuff him very lightly on the back of the head, sighing as she chuckled at how he scarffed down so many. "Geez, save some for everyone else you silly cat." She teased gently, finishing her cookie as she let the cream and sugar mix themselves in. It really could be so handing having the power of telekinesis. What made her laugh was that Malachai was doing the exact same thing, except he was eating more cookies than she was. Men. She did blush faintly at the compliment to her cookies, nibbling on her second as they were on... well... who knew what. "Thanks Kai." She picked up her cup and took a sip. It was perfect, not too hot, not too cold, and just the right amount of flavor. "Perfect tea to go with perfect cookies." She giggled, dodging as her brother aimed to tickle her in the side again.

"And so modest too." Malachai chuckled as he saw her dodge, getting a sudden thought, holding up a finger for attention, flicking his finger against a glass as if they were at a formal party. "Excuse me? If all the attendee's could give their attention? I believe a toast is in order hm?" He joked, glad that he could finally relax, and with such good company even. "Arya? Did you want to give it?" He asked his sister with a small tilt of his head.

Arya giggled, blinking a little when he asked her if she wanted to. "U-um.... Sure. Can't believe I didn't think of that." She then cleared her throat and sat up a bit taller, lowering her other hand that held a cookie to her lap. "To your return dear brother. May we have better times ahead." She waited for a couple of seconds before clicking her cup lightly against both of theirs at the same time. They got good at clinking their glasses together all at once before Malachai had left. She was glad they were still successful.

"And to lots more heavenly cookies!" Kai added happily. He'd missed this feeling of ease that they all seemed to get when they had tea together like this. Kai finished off his tea and poured creame only into his cup, picking up another cookie he looked up and caught Ayra and Mal looking at him. "What?"
