Honestly, I love Christmas mostly because of the food. (:
And seeing family that I haven't seen in a really long time.

I live alone with my fiance, but we visit my father so it's a small gathering there. My fiance doesn't have much family here either, so there gatherings are small as well. But it's always a pleasure to see them.

Des, you're no Juggernaught. I went to highschool with the Juggernaught. He works in a brewery, ballroom dances every sunday, has mastered 1st person shooters to the degree of zen, and has more Girls' phone numbers than you have posts in this guild.
In other news, time with the family (My family to be precise since I know its not universal) is always good, save for when my dad and brother argue.

Lambs somewhat commonplace as a food. But we rarely eat birds, so its a thanksgiving turkey, a christmas goose, etcetera. Lamb tends to be done about once a month for greek cooking when I'm around.

Yeah, I hardly ever have lamb or goose, we have a lot of ham for holidays. And pastas, lots of homemade pastas.

Not a drop of athens lies in my veins. (I'm a mutt of a heritage, but its eastern or northern european). Doesn't mean I can't whip up some damn good food though. I tend to be (surprizingly) the best cook in the family, despite only been at it for a couple years. I guess my nose is a bit better than the old farts, so I get some wicked flavors out of food. And me and dad both enjoy variety, so we tend to theme weekends for specific foods. Greek happens to be somewhat popular, and in lieu of lamb shanks and racks having to be cut, I can't disagree with my own culinary talent.

I can make a few different salads and other veggie/fruit themed dishes, but my " expertise " in the kitchen is drinks. Bro and I both make wine and I sometimes make various punches.

Greek happens to be somewhat popular, and in lieu of lamb shanks and racks having to be cut, I can't disagree with my own culinary talent. I'm a variety of races myself. Mother is latina/italian and my father is euro-asian.
I usually cook dinner myself, though I have no culinary experience. I just put together different ingredients that I know taste good together. I try to expand my range of cooking, but I usually fail. sweatdrop
That's what my father and I do, when we're together. We decide what we want to eat as far as flavors and tendencies go, then we pick what region normally cooks like that. It's a fairly neat tradition we uphold.
Anyways, I must retire tonight. I have work in the morning that I am not looking forward to getting up for, but it must be done.
Have a good night, ^^
