Kisame smiled some as she poured herself a fresh cup. "If you'd like, I could show you Kaya sometime. You'd surprise yourself how much you're like her. In fact... I think Luke dropped off a small painting of her. Could you get it dear? I think it's near the shrine."

Maria held her breath as Otosan left to retrieve the painting. She was almost scared of seeing her mother. Even though she knew it was just a painting, it was still a scary thought.
When Otosan brought back the painting, Maria froze. The woman in the picture really did look just like Maria. From the unruly brown curls to the big brown eyes and the dark skin. She bit her lip and watched as her soul-stealer vision portrayed an illusion of the woman's cheetah soul before her. Nobody else would see it, but Maria felt as though they did.

Kisame smiled and sighed as she gazed upon the painting of her daughter-in-law. "Such beauty. Tis a sin against the gods she was taken so early from us. And poor Luke. He was heartbroken. We all miss her so dearly."

[OOC:] It's really good. I'm reading it now and it keeps throwing me for a loop! Maria shook her head. "Someone from a Soul's Market has her. My....I watched her being sold. She's a very valuable soul, from what I gathered."

Kisame shuddered softly. "A soul's market? Such a horrible place for spirits. I've been to one once. It was so cold... It was like the underworld... Except worse."

Maria bit her lip and looked down. The Soul's Market had been the highlight of her year. Every year, her mother and she would return to their cottage and attend the nearby market. It was a very fun place for a young soul-stealer. "We could probably track her down easily at one."

Kisame nodded some. "If we plan to do so, we must act quickly." she said, standing up determinedly. "I refuse for my daughter-in-law's soul to dwell in such a pit of darkness."

"We'll need Kuro and Luke. More specifically, we need their souls, meaning they need to come, too," Maria said, looking back up at Kisame. "Between their souls, and the one I have, it should be enough energy to attract Kaya's soul."

Kisame nodded some and changed into her fox form, heading out to the castle again. After a few moments, she returned with Luke and Kuro, the latter looking rather sleepy.

Maria offered a tentative smile at her family, glancing over at Kisame. "Would you be able to find a nearby open market?"

"Now all we have to do is hope she's there."
Once they were at the Market, Maria released the soul that used to belong to her. The white substance immediately began to call out to Luke's and Kuro's souls, something only Maria could see. Her eyes slowly turned the same white color that Ghost's used to be, the closer they got to the soul market. Soon, the substance of combined souls went rocketing off, and Maria began to follow it, knowing they were on Kaya's trail.

Indeed Luke's and Kuro's souls followed the calling. Luke's soul was a wolf, a pure heart of the nature he was raised in, Kuro's was just that ball of tender energy, though it kept close to the wolf spirit for protection. Both souls followed Maria, keeping up easily.
