Maria genuinely looked relieved as Kisame explained Kai and Hakaru. She smiled at them, then, glad to have that cleared up.

Kisame smiled and bid Kai and Hakaru goodbye before guiding Maria back down the hall. She wondered who they were going to run into next. With such a big family she was granted, she wasn't even sure!

"Do you have many family members?" Maria asked, wondering how long she'd be meeting and greeting.

Kisame looked to Maria and smiled softly. "I have so much family. I am so grateful to have so many to be beside me. We are four generations strong after me. And dozens before my time. Our family is ancient, but our hearts still beat strong and as one."

Maria's eyes widened. So many people in one family! In her family! "And everyone still lives here?"

Kisame smiled, laughing some. "Yes. All the generations after me. We all still reside here." but her expression saddened slightly. "Well... all of us used to.... Kaya, your mother, died. She is the only missing flower from out cherry blossom tree of family."

♭♮♯ Sleeping wonder lies to me, and the lies are sweet. Maria frowned a little at the mention of her mother. Of course she was slightly sad she wouldn't meet the woman... But everyone else seemed to be so heartbroken over her death. Was it wrong for Maria to not particularly feel wretched? She'd never known the woman after all... ♩♪♫♬ Music is sung with simple words, and simple words can save the world. ♯♮♭

Kisame soon led her to the temple where Otosan had been resting. "I'd like you to meet my husband. Your grandfather, and past king. Dear, are you awake?" she called, glancing around the ornamented hall.

Otosan looked up as Kisame arrived, and set down the tea he'd made, knowing that eventually the fox would return. Her tea had grown cold after she'd left. "In here, dear!" he called out.

Kisame smiled and went into the room, looking to him. "There you are. Have a good nap? Oh no... My tea must be cold..." she said, pouting a little.

"Don't worry! I made some fresh tea," the old wolf said, gesturing to the tray that he'd just set down and smiling at his wife.

Otosan didn't question, just smiled at Maria and nodded to her. He wasn't much for hugs. "It's nice to finally meet you, Maria. I'm sure you've heard no end of this, but you really do look just like your mother." Maria smiled back at the nice old wolf. She sort of wanted to say that she looked nothing like her mother, and that her mother wasn't dead, but she didn't want to go against everyone's happiness.
