Ares believed her just as much as he assumed she believed him earlier, but let it go. When she was ready, she'd talk he figured. "Speaking of class, I think break's gonna end soon." He observed, watching other students leave the room.

Ever looked up at the clock in the cafeteria and groaned under her breath. "You're right, Ares. Gotta go."
She looked at the professor and smiled. "It was very nice to met you, Professor McCloud. I'm sure you'll be a great addition to our school. Bye!"
She stood up, took her tray to the tray disposal area, and then headed out of the cafeteria. She had to go to the library, but she didn't want to just head off without Aurora or Ares, or at least saying goodbye.

Ares blinked and debated following after her. He decided to do so, given this was the perfect time to ask her opinion. "Goodbye Aurora, Professor McCloud." Quickly he dropped off his trash and hurried to catch up with Evermore. "Ever, wait up!"

Ares laughed and scratched his head. "Yeah, well, I didn't want to be left behind. I dont know if Aurora's coming though. ....uhm..." He paused. "Can I ask you something? Have.... Have you heard anything about a Half-Fairy named Nali...?" Ares asked hesitantly, steeling himself for any answer, good, bad, or inconclusive.

Ever drew her eyebrows together slightly in confusion. "Umm, a half fairy named Nali?"
She thought about it for a moment and then had to shake her head. "No, sorry, I haven't Ares. But my familiar might. I don't know if you knew I had a familiar or not, but she's a water fairy from our lake. She's in our room right now."

Aurora followed Evermore and Ares quietly, but she got there just after Evermore finished speaking and did not know what Ares' question had been. She tended to walk, when there was time, at a slower pace. "Where are you headed?" she asked, not aware that she was interrupting. (If she had known, she would have simply waited her turn.)

Ares jumped slightly at Aurora's voice. "I think to the library, right?" He asked Ever for confirmation, adding to it a quiet, "No I didn't. Can we ask her later?"

Ever's eyes widened when Ares jumped at Aurora's voice behind him. She giggled softly and then looked at Aurora. She nodded and smiled. "Yeah I was going to head to the library. What about you three?"
She was referring to Aurora, Altan and Ares. Huh. 3 A's.

"I was just following you," He explained. "I'm on my free period when break ends. After you start class, I'm prolly going to explore campus, I dunno. How about you two?" He looked to Aurora and Altan.

((It's actually impossible to leave the school campus @tm, because of a veeeery powerful barrier Arielle has invoked indefinitely. Juuust saying. (Also, earlier in the story there was a little assembly where this was stated. I'd suggest you read the main post from that, which summarizes quite a lot.) smile ))

Secret Kirari At that moment, Arielle raised her arms up for silence. "Settle down, please," she said, her voice carrying. As expected, the girls (and visitors) quickly settled, and Arielle could feel the soul-wrenching sensation of having every set of eyes concentrated on her. "There are... a number of reasons," Arielle began, "that I have called for this emergency assembly today." She took a deep breath before continuing. "As some, albeit few, have noticed, there is now a barrier surrounding the school grounds. This is for your protection, meine Kinder*. Do not try to leave these barriers without my permission--for those of you visiting, once you leave, I cannot allow you to return until the the barrier is pulled down. "The barrier is for your protection against things very similar to what happened last night. I cannot say that I know how many were present during the... the skirmish, but I can say that it is not the last nor will it be the only one." She waited for the talking that had inevitably piped up to die before she kept talking. "There is much going on, and I cannot give you all the details today or we would not leave this room for hours, and I do not believe you all wish to stay here for such a lengthy amount of time. "From this Saturday onward there will be mandatory classes, headed by myself, from ten in the morning until twelve. There, we will attempt to prepare you for what is happening outside our borders." Arielle took another deep breath. "If anyone is found to be skipping these classes, there will be no warnings. You will receive an immediate two-hour detention." ((*My children.)) Ever smiled brightly. "Sounds great! And that's my next period, too, Aurora."
Well that was just silly. Obviously that was her next class. She and Aurora had met there, so Aurora would probably remember that they had the class together. Ah well!
As they walked up the stairs, Ever hung back slightly and whispered to Ares. "We can ask Raven, my familiar, about Nali tonight if you want."
