Oh, he'll be around. Dont you worry about that. I'm about to clamp an Iron Fist around the Sith without them even knowing it. Sadly, that doesn't include any PCs aside from Johnny. And he'll be taken care of distinctly. Someone will have to take the blame for the Dark Lords death.

Gohgei could decide that he wasn't fit to train a padawan full time, so he joins in on the " academy style " teaching, teaching her stuff when he can. That way he can still be somewhat of her master without trying to undo the whole " go to someone else " thing.

I only left her for the time because the Council asked me to complete a task that I thought too dangerous to bring her along, thus she stayed with Styder for a time.
