Ares fidgeted under the table. Ever was some sort of goddess, right? So, even if she seemed relatively normal, she was still powerful. There was no way he'd take advantage of that, but just maybe she had heard something of a half-fairy. Even just a rumor would be better off than where he was now. Resolved, Ares decided that after break, next free moment they had, he'd asked if she heard anything.

Geo looked at Ares, and could tell that there was something bothering him... something to do with family. And it seemed like there was a large amount of uncertainty about the situation. He was an empath, so he had a gift for these kinds of things. It's why he connected with other people so well. His eyes narrowed a smidgen and became more focused on Ares for a brief moment before he let himself return to reality. It seemed that Ares reall didn't want to bring the subject up right now, and he refused to force things like that out of people.
"Well, like I said, I'm looser with the scheduling. I will permit leaving 5 or 6 minutes early to get a head start on lunch, or to be 5 or 6 minutes later than usual if lunch is ending." he reiterated kindly.

Ever's eyes widened and she quickly shook her head at her professor. "NO!!"
She blushed brightly at how loud she realized her outburst was. She continued more quietly. "Umm, sorry. I mean, Professor McCloud, you should probably be a little more strict about your schedule, or at least keep up appearances. Bai Ching likes for their girls, professors and staff to be very prompt, alert and focused."
She looked down at her tray. "I'm... I'm sorry Professor. I'm not trying to tell you how to teach. I would never dream of doing that. I just do not want you to have to talk to the headmistress on the first day..."

Geo was a little surprised at her outburst, but he couldn't help but laugh at her apology... seeing as he felt there was no need for one.
"Thanks for the advice, but I think I'll be just fine. After all, art is about having fun and escaping the rules. It's not meant to be conformed to the constrictions of society. It's about expression and comfort. I want my art class to be a place where my students can truly be themselves, and convey that onto a canvas... or onto clay... or whatever they see as the best fit." he explained as he sat back and sighed a little.

"I get that," Ares nodded, " But she has a point, Professor. If you're too lax, some students just take advantage of it." He cleared his throat and tried to sound like a girl (by making his voice higher pitched and failed) as he pretended to bat his eyes. "'Professor can we got an extra five minutes today? Since we were so good?' Next thing you know, they'll pop in for attendance and disappear."

Aurora tilted her head slightly. "It will definitely be a new approach in this school. Some teachers are less strict than others, but most are very specific on time. Headmistress Krause is one of those, too. I believe it is her German upbringing." After all, she knew that Germans were much stricter with punctuality--in fact, they even preferred to be between five and fifteen minutes early whenever possible.

He snickered a little at Ares' impression of a girl, but he couldn't deny that they all had a point.
"I suppose you're all correct. Heh.. I guess there's still a lot I need to learn about being a professor." he said as laughed and scratched the back of his head.

Ares cleared his throat after his impersonation to get it back to normal. "Don't worry about it. It'll come with time." He said to cheer him on. "Only reason I know this is I've seen some girls try to pull it in class." Fun memories flicked through his head of what happened AFTER the girls tried it. "But during the class, you can still be firm yet let them expand on their own. Leave the assignments open with very few guidelines."

Altan laughed a bit. Do not fret. The Headmistress is generally easy on new teachers for the first week or so, according to Etzel. Altan had met Etzel a few times, mostly at night, and they'd talked. Etzel thought that Arielle was often too easy on new teachers, but Altan thought her standards were reasonable.

Ever couldn't help but chuckle at Ares' impression of a girl. He really did have a great sense of humor.
She looked back at Professor McCloud and frowned slightly. She didn't want them to influence him to do something he didn't really want to do.
"Professor... if you really want to be more lax on your time schedule, you have the right to do that. Like Aurora said, it will be a new approach. Maybe it would be for the better, maybe not. You can only really do what you think is right, not what others think is right."
She shrugged and looked down at her tray again. She knew that lesson all too well, unfortunately.

Ares glanced at Ever, it being his turn to be the worried friend. "Ever, you okay?" He asked quietly, so as not to bring attention to her.
