There's not much I can do about being busy. If I had a scanner and the internet at home it wouldn't be a problem...but alas it is because I don't.

My sense is that Malik is going to spend all his time trying to control massive machines of blood and destruction without the tools to do so. his Ogre Breakers are kept in line by magical collars, seeing as they are indoctrinated by being bathed in chemicals that completely destroy thier sense of pain. So they are controled through strangulation or neck snapping if it really goes bad.

2/3 of his little empire's defenses are magical. either from Roarke or Sevilin's runics. without magic, his undead forces are null and void, and his undead golem defending his tunnel access to orcish lands is now gone. his power over Laudi and her offspring is now gone, as it was magical power.

So now, his only defense to his kingdom are Breakers he can't control, and gladitorial slaves, oh wait...can't control them either, becuase he uses those collars to do that too.

So Malik will be with a 99% chance dealing with a massive insurrection. normally..hey no problem. but now, oh gee...ALL of his defenses are gone. he can't use his necromancy, none of the magical devices used to control servants will work, and all the magical defenses to his home and empire are gone.

That's why it annoys me. unlike Honorsfield and Deepwater, conviently, all of my main characters power and defense is based on magic. oh and without the use of transplanar travel, he can't call on Kieran or Fianna's kingdoms for help.

So now we got about 30-50 Ogre breakers. they each weigh around half a ton, thier built and bred entirely for combat. Then about 70-100 gladitorial slaves. so worst odds, it's 150 combat trained and ready combatants. Laudi and her offspring, which can be anywhere from 10-20 now..that brings it to 170 vs....three. Sevilin, Malik, and Arthur. as Piper will be on her 'surface quest'...oh but lets not forget the animosity between Arthur and Malik. He'll undoubtably try to get one up on Malik since the magical tricks he has used to best him before aren't there anymore.

I may be thinking worse case, but that's the facts of it. 150 people controled through fear due to a collar, find that the thing keeping them in line doesn't work anymore. of course they are going to try and get even with thier 'owner'. Arthur's goal is to best malik. what better time then when all of Malik's magical tricks are gone.

While it may provided a good character development time for most, since they only experince minor discomfort/annoynace/fear/apprehnsion at the lose of thier magical power..they are relatively safe. that's not the case with Malik. Onyx/Moonstone/Aella/Oracle's household...thier loss of power doesn't put them almost immediately into mortal danger. It does Malik.

Although. strangling those two damned imps will be a nice thing.

Potions should still be available. They aren't considered magical at all. Anyone can do potions as long as they gather the correct ingredients. Even in modern times, potions are used, they are just called remedies and whatnot. Boiling moss, mixing different herbs and things together is not magical so potions shouldn't be included in that batch.

As for magic, what about the gods? Do they still have the power to bless and give out magical boosts to the wells and whatnot? Currently, as long as one is in good standing, they could call on their god for a little extra help in a sticky situation.

Hello everyone, I am so sorry that I dissapeared for so long, my stupid DSL line was cut, not because my Mother didn't pay the bill but because as she was going through remodelling the house, she drop the hub and it broke, needless to say we had to but another one, and re-install eveything. I'm now back, and here is the bad thing, in about a week, I'm going on a trip to New York to see the rest of my family, don't you just love the season. *Eye Twitches* From what I can gather the world has lost its use of magic, which is a good thing, gives my characters to have suddenlly vanished. ANything manjor that I missed? Once again, I'm sorry that I simply vanished all of a sudden.
