Woah... dude. I believe it. People are so narrow-minded, even now. o_o
Well, yeah, totally. But then it was easier to make a show for children by animating it rather than filming it, because children relate to things in a whole different way and it would be far too complicated to do that with film back then... so I can see how it became a more childish thing.

Depends on the subject matter. I remember watching Vault Disney growing up. Came on the Disney channel LATE at night and contain a lot of those old cartoons. Like the history of aircraft or driver safety. And all of them was spot on accurate.
I had a talk with my mom on the way up to my grandparents on why I like to watch anime. Most of them was made for older audeinces in mind. And even the ones for kids tend to be more mature on subject matters then western cartoons. She agreed with me.

o_O Well, but that's not what I meant. Sorry... I'm very unclear. That kind of thing is for sure easier to draw than to film as well...
Well, it's true. I'd have to say that's one of the culture differences, tho.

Yeah, you have a point. But I think we agree in that animation is a great form of enertainment that can be enjoyed by anybody of any age.
