"It's nice to meet you both." he responded, sounding a little flustered. He wasn't used to being called a professor... it would take a little while to get used to it. It wasn't that it offended him, he just was never in a position of true authority until now.

He looked at Ares and thought for a moment, considering his answer.
"Well, the facilities in this school are some of the best I've ever seen. It makes me feel really good to be part of a school that funds its art and music programs so well. And the people here are so nice and welcoming... I think i could really get used to it here." he responded cheerily.

Ever stared at Altan once again until the professor spoke and introduced himself. Professor McCloud. Hmm.. Even though she might not have him as a professor, she still stored that name to her memory.
She smiled slightly at him and nodded. "It's nice to meet you, Professor McCloud."
She glanced back at Altan again while she took another bite from her food, which was cooling off now. What did he mean that sphinxes preferred human vocal chords? How could they know?

Aurora smiled. "That is certainly good. I do hope you enjoy Bai Ching. I find it to be a lovely place." Altan nodded in agreement with his familiar's words.

Ares grinned. "It's a nice place to work. Good rates, frequent breaks. I'm not a student," He explained, "I'm a Teacher Assistant."

"Thank you all." Geo responded, bowing his head slightly. He then turned to Ares when he heard him say that he was a Teacher Assistant. "Well then... perhaps you will be joining me in one of my classes at some point." he replied, a warm and inviting smile on his face. His teeth were showing a little, too. Not too much, but enough to see that he had pronounced canine teeth. Not quite vampire fangs, but they were definitely larger than normal.

Ever looked over at Ares and smiled when she heard Professor McCloud say that perhaps Ares would join one of his classes. That was awesome, especially since Ares had showed interest in it earlier!
She looked down at her plate, smiled, and took another bite.

Ares' grin grew wider, so it was proverbially from ear to ear. "I certainly hope so, Professor McCloud!" He exclaimed happily. He could almost see himself playing an instrument

Geo couldn't help but chuckle lightly at Ares' grin. He was glad to see someone so enthusiastic about joining him for a music class. He felt that he was truly welcome here, and it made him feel good inside. He felt that this was a place where he could finally be himself, and have others benefit from it.

Ever felt the enthusiasm and happiness around the table. It was palpable. She hadn't felt that in a long time. It was nice.
She put her silverware down and took a drink of her milk, finishing it off. Then, she looked over at Professor McCloud and smiled politely.
"Professor McCloud, how many classes do you have a day, if you don't mind me asking? Are they mostly in the afternoon or do you have some morning classes as well? Our old music classes were all in the afternoon."

Geo looked at Ever and was pleased that she was inquiring about his schedule of classes.
"Well... while most of my classes are in the afternoon, I DO have classes available for the morning. I'm not expecting anyone to sign up for them that early though." he responded with a light-hearted laugh. "I may just end up tuning the instruments and preparing things for the afternoon." he continued.

Ever laughed at what the professor said about early morning classes. "Well, Professor McCloud, in most schools, I would say that is true. It is true for some individuals here. However, for the most part, you won't find another place that has more eager students than Bai Ching. Our classes start at 9 AM sharp. 8 AM is breakfast. Don't be surprised if you have quite a few students sign up for morning classes."
She smiled but then quickly groaned softly when she realized something. "Oh geez... Please excuse my bad manners. The professors here would skin me alive if they knew that I had not introduced myself, yet. My name is Evermore Erinýes."
She would have held out her hand to the professor, but that was not proper between students and professors.
