I don't mean Elitism like that but...

A closed forum where people could only join through references of other Gaians. 3nodding

And the ability to be a reference has to be given by a mod or something.

That'd be too much hassle and it would only cause a ton of people to suck up to everyone else, which might be good for egos, but it would get annoying as hell as well. The ability to post threads only after a certain amount of posts would also cause spam I guess, but if they didn't allow chatterbox posts to count it might work out.

To be honest I think the admins just need to make a ton of people mods, as *looks* two mods (even though it's Saturday) is a pathetic amount, especially considering that ~10k people are online. The existing mods also need to do a better job of telling people WHY their threads have been moved, as simply moving it and not saying anything isn't going to teach people that honestly do not know better a thing.

There is proberly only Beramode out of the VGD mods I actually trust in doing the job. sweatdrop

Most of the mods seem quite elitist to me with the exception of a few. Half of 'em just ignore me when I PM them lists of threads which are in the wrong place or lists of people with OVERLY (as I'm too lazy to report 501x500) large sigs.

Well, Beramode doesn't reply to my PM unless I've asked her a question, but I know she does things about the threads because she sometimes posts in them before getting rid of em'. sweatdrop

And I know Ryonin does stuff because he was the one who gave me my warning PM though that was nearly a year ago. sweatdrop

Once I see the person has read the PM I check and see if the sigs/threads have been disabled/removed/moved/whatever. Most of the time they are still there, and yar.. I'm aware sigs show up in profiles even when signatures are disabled. ^^

All that sig stuff has confused my small mind. gonk

Kedian, do you own a FX5200? sweatdrop
PostPosted: Sun Nov 28, 2004 11:07 am

No. =p

And sigs are disabled when they violate the rules, so people cannot see them when you make posts as if you had unchecked "attach signature", but they can still be seen in profiles. ^^

Well if you cannot work out exactly which one is tecnically better it's probably best to go with the Geforce, seeing as that's a more popular make and thus most likely a more well made/supported card.

Are you considering getting CoH or something? @_a

ATi Radeon SE cards suck a**.

ATi Radeon (Non-SE) are better than NVGeforces IMO. They can handle anti-aliasing and anisotropic filtering so good.
