Ever smiled and shook her head. "Well, I was going to go to the library, but I can go to the cafeteria with you. We can come back up here with plenty of time to spare before my next class in an hour and a half. Plus, if you go with me, your food will be free since I'm a student and I'll put your food on my tray. Sound good?"

"That sounds excellent!" Ares cheered happily. "But you be sure to eat too, okay? No skipping meals and all that." He added quickly. No friend of his would go hungry. He had seen enough of that growing up.

Ever laughed and playfully rolled her eyes as she started to walk with Ares down the hall and down the stairs to the first floor.
"Oh don't worry. I've got a healthy appetite. Not like a goddess will gain weight anyway, right?"
She wasn't sure how many people knew she was a goddess now. It had been about 2 weeks since she had told someone for the first time of her true identity, the first one being the headmistress. Shortly after, Akira. After everything that had happened recently, the whole school could have known she was a fury by now.
When they got to the first floor, she walked to the left and headed in the direction of the big double doors that led to the cafeteria.
"Know what they're having for mid-morning food?"

"Uhm, muffins and hot beef sandwiches, I think." Ares tried to recall aloud as he followed after the girl. "Maybe Cheese and Broccoli soup again." He grimaced as he mentioned the later food. Ares was infamous for hating broccoli almost as much as he loved steak. I said almost. Not much could come between him and his steak. As the doors to the cafeteria open, delicious smells floated out, intertwined with Student's chattering over their food. "Definitely Hot Beef Sandwiches."

Ever breathed a small sigh of relief as Ares didn't comment on her goddess statement. He either hadn't heard it or he didn't mention it because he already knew and didn't want to make her feel uncomfortable. Either way, she was relieved.
When she heard of the food Ares thought was being served right now, she moaned softly and her mouth practically watered. "Oh gods... I love Bai Ching's food. I love their menu and how they cook it, I love the cafe on the second floor with great snacks... I love it."
She walked toward the back of the cafeteria where the food was being offered (pictures in the pic thread in this subforum) and grabbed a tray. She did indeed see all the food Ares had mentioned, and even though she had eaten breakfast, she got an open-faced hot beef sandwich with gravy. She got another plate for Ares even though she was sure he had grabbed his own. He was a young man. Probably wanted to eat quite a bit, which she could totally relate to.
"Yes, stopping by here before going to the library was definitely a good idea. I'm glad I ran into you Ares."
She laughed softly.

"Well, what can I say? Just call me the bringer of ********." Ares laughed along and followed up with his own plate, sensing how relieved she was. Did she really think he was going to make a big fuss about what she was? Yeah, he had heard some rumors and this just confirmed them, but honestly, he really didn't care what species people were. He only cared if they were good deep down or not.
Watching as she finished getting the food and getting it ringed up, Ares hunted down a empty table and pulled out a chair for her before waving her over. "Found one! Over here!"

Geo continued his guitar playing until he had finished the song. His fingers were a little sore, but he felt better... a little more looser than before. He set the guitar down and stood up, stretching his back.
"Hmmm.... I wonder what I should do now...?" he thought as he heard his stomach rumble a little. "Guess I should grab a bite to eat." he said to himself, laughing as he made his way to the cafeteria.

Ever's eyes had widened slightly when she heard Ares cuss next to her. Obviously she had heard people cuss before, Ares being the main one. God of War, Ares. Her former lover, Ares. Not this Ares.... Oh boy. Already getting a little confusing. But surprisingly, it seemed so odd that it was funny to her. Better funny than sad again.
But she had been surprised to hear him cuss when there were already other professors and staff in the cafeteria. Most people wouldn't have dared to say those kind of words in the same room that professors and staff were in, whether they were close enough to hear or not. Ever actually kind of liked Ares' attitude and authenticity.
When he flagged her down, she saw that he had found a table and had pulled out a chair for her. She smiled and walked over to the table. She set the tray down in the center of the table, got her plate, silverware and drink off of it, and then sat down in the chair that had been pulled out.
"Hot beef sandwich with gravy... I haven't had this since last school year! I've missed it so much!"

Geo entered the cafeteria and ordered himself a tossed salad and a fruit bowl. He liked to eat healthy when it was this early in the day. Plus, it gave him energy for his art, music, and teaching. He found a small table by one of the walls and sat at it, eating his salad peacefully and happily.

"I know," Ares nodded, "and it looks like this year's is even better. God, I love this job." He picked up one of his sandwiches and took a large bite. "Ohhhhhh man, it IS better. I think I might pass out from how delicious it is." He joked before ripping off another bite. "My sister would've loved this."

Ever looked hungrily down at her hot beef sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy. She picked up her fork and knife and was about to tear into her meal when she heard Ares' comment about his sister.
She looked up at him and tilted her head to the side slightly. "You have a sister? Is she younger than you? If so, you could probably bring her here for a free education, Ares, since you work here. Headmistress Krause would probably do everything she could to get her enrolled for you... Well, if she wasn't so busy right now with the upcoming war and if your sister had magical abilities."
She sighed and looked off to the side. Her eyes widened slightly when she caught sight of a someone new. With the robes he was wearing, she instantly knew that he was a professor. He must be the new one everyone was talking about!
Ever looked at Ares, smiled, and then looked back at the professor. "Ares, look!"
She tried to keep her voice down, even though the professor was quite a distance away from her and Ares' table.
"I think that's the new professor everyone's been talking about. Do you know what he teaches?"

Aurora, finding nothing of particular interest in the library, had made her way to the cafeteria under Altan's suggestion. She took a small tuna sandwich for herself and a little plate of ahi poke for Altan, who adored the fish, before looking around for someplace to sit. She vaguely noted, as she looked, that the new music professor was also in the room. Altan saw Evermore, and tapped his tail against Aurora's thigh before saying, Shall we sit with Evermore?
Aurora thought for a moment, before nodding. Let's. She headed to Evermore's table after Altan pointed it out, wondering for only a moment why the Fury was sitting with Ares. Would the name not make her angry as everything else relating to gods did?
Nonetheless, she nodded when she approached the table. "Hello, Evermore. Do you mind if I join you?"

Ares mentally pondered what Ever had said about Nali. Get her enrolled. Yeah. That sounded like a good idea, just as soon as he found her. Well, she had some good abilities so maybe she had found her own way here?
But hearing Ever's whisper caught his attention away from Nali for a second. "Huh?" He followed her gaze to the man a couple of tables away. "I think it is," he said as confirmation. "I think he teaches Art and Music. What's his name again?" Ares wrinkled his eyebrows, but nothing came to mind.

Ever looked back at Ares and chuckled. "I don't know. You're the TA, Ares. Shouldn't you know?" She smiled at him so he knew she was just playing.
When Ever heard a familiar voice off to her side, she glanced toward it. Her smile grew even wider when she saw Aurora and Altan beside her, asking if they could join her and Ares.
"Aurora, Altan, hi! Sure you can join us. It's great to see you. Hadn't seen you since yesterday afternoon."
As they sat down, Ever leaned over and whispered to them. "Ares and I were just talking about the new professor. Ares says he teaches Music and Art. I think it's so cool that Headmistress Krause has hired a male professor."

Ares scooted over to allow the two room at the table. "Hey Aurora, Altan." He nodded to them both, friendly with them as well. "Ever, I haven't worked in his class yet, so I dunno. When I find out though, I swear, you shall be the first to know!" He promised dramatically.
