Agrona paused in the doorway as Kirin called to her, suppressing a smug smile.

“Is that so?” she asked after a moment, slowly turning to face him. Taking a step back into the room, she let the door swing shut behind her. “And will you be sharing this bit of information, or must I continue to only wonder?”
PostPosted: Mon Dec 17, 2012 6:10 pm

Kirin stepped forward again as she paused and turned back to him. "yes. Like I said Jeeves keeps records on the people who come and go through the city. I use them to make sure no one with impure intentions tries to move in" he explained, reaching forward to gently touch her cheek. There was pain in his eyes still lingering, but he seemed genuinely happy she was still here. Even if she loathed him, her mere presence was enough to raise his spirits. "not exactly share, though I would be willing to exchange it for something..." he whispered, walking in even closer to her. "Agrona, I'll help you find who your looking for...though in exchange I want to be able to kiss the lips I've longed for for so long. The lips of the person I've admired for so long, the person I would rewrite history for if I could...you....just one, and I'll lead you to her personally" he said softly, what charm and seductiveness he had finally starting to kick in as he tried to sway her. He had sensed the longing in her voice, and secretly he hoped that if he played his cards right he could rekindle her love for him, hopefully make it stronger than her anger towards him. It was a slim chance, but Kirin did not have much to loose, atleast not in his opinion as winning Agrona's heart was the highest thing he could achieve in his mind.

Jeeves nodded as the man continued giving him such filthy looks "right away then sir" he said stepping out of the room and then the next second coming out of a door on the other end of the room, a tray with a dark brown bottle and a single filled glass of fire whiskey. The drink had a soft reddish look to it, darkened considerably to an almost reddish black thanks to the brimstone used to filter it. It stood at room temperature but even then it melted any ice put into it, meaning it had to be drunk straight. The burn it had on one's throat was hellacious, though considering it was called 'fire whiskey' that was to be expected. "here you are sir" he said, holding out the tray to him

“I expected nothing less,” Agrona answered Kirin’s whisper as he stepped forward. “Name your price.”

Disdain flashed across her eyes as Kirin’s request reached her ears; a kiss.

“Is that truly what you desire, my dear once Peacekeeper?” she whispered with a smirk, closing the remaining space between her and Kirin. Gently placing the pad of her thumb against Kirin’s mouth, she continued, “Such a simple, small request. I believe we have ourselves a deal.”

She moved her hand behind his head and lightly leaned her body against him, her lips meeting his.

Lorathin’s eyes followed Jeeves as the butler left, watching for him to return. The sound of glasses rattling on a tray behind him caught his attention. Lorathin spun around with great speed to face Jeeves as he reentered through another door.

“How did you…?” he began to ask, letting the words trail off at the sight of the contents of the tray the butler held.

Lorathin took hold of the filled glass, taking in the strong scent of it before taking a gulp, the fire of the liquid as it slid down his throat almost pleasurable to him.

“I’ve had better,” he said with a shrug, continuing his pacing with the glass still in hand.

Kirin saw the disdain in her eyes, but he didn't care, it was more than understandable, and he was desperate for some sort of intimacy with her, even if he had to buy it with favors. "what I truly desire is something far more than a kiss, but I will not ask it of you, I am not that far removed from my sense of honor yet." he said, honestly wishing to be much closer to her, much much closer. When she closed the distance between them Kirin blushed, and when she pressed her thumb to his lips he had to fight the urge to kiss it, not wanting to be cheated out of a chance at her lips. "a simple request yet, but its a selfish one. One I wouldn't ask of you if I didn't truly love you Agrona, please see that" he whispered. He closed his eyes as he felt her hand slide through his hair, trying to enjoy every moment, every little sensation. To the feel of her fingers against his scalp to the curvature of her body pressed against him. When their lips met he wrapped his arms around her, holding her gently, yet firmly, never wanting to let go. What started as a peck quickly deepened into something more passionate, for Kirin atleast. Her lips and tongue tasted of the sea, of death, of unending loathing. However despite that to him she tasted sweeter than honey, love skewing his senses and causing him to delight in even the lowly things about her. His grip on her tightened as he suddenly fell back onto the couch, pulling her down with him and bringing her onto his lap, their lips never parting the whole time. He wanted nothing more than to hold her like this for eternity, happily fantasying that this kiss had been brought about by mutual love and compassion for each other, that there was no war and they were both happy....for now he would reject reality and simply envision that things were better than the sorry state they were in now.

Jeeves simply smirked a bit when he started to ask how he had done it. "I'm a the butler sir. I answer the door, serve the guests, and protect this house....what I said about the door was no exaggeration. Just because you are a nightmare to those weaker than you don't assume you are so high on the chain. This world holds many mysteries that not even the supernatural can fully explain" he said cryptically, not once dropping the calm stoic demeanor. When he drank down the liquid and commented that he had had better Jeeves simply nodded "yes and I'm sure you've had it unpoisoned as well" he said, basically admitting he had poisoned the man's drink.

((O-wow... eek cybering is forbiden on gaia, Kirin and Agrona need to be time skipping if their making kids (or at lest trying to), i mean, my goodness, that getting a little too close to braking rules, no? sweatdrop ))

(( It is not one of *those* scenes. It is just a kiss. Clothes stay on.

Also, pdragon, you said couch. I only recall chairs being in the study. Did you mean armchair, or am I missing something?))

The feeling of Kirin’s passion was nearly intoxicating as his aura brightened to an extent even Agrona could not miss. Her stomach churned at the feeling--a feeling she herself had felt only once many millennia before.

After a minute, Agrona removed herself from Kirin’s lap and placed her hands on either of the arms of the chair, her lips pulling away from his, a snarl threatening at the edges of her features.

“I don’t doubt your love,” she whispered, her lips nearly touching his ear.

She straightened and took a step back, her cold eyes locking on his, her voice steely. “I’ve held up my end of the bargain. It is now your turn.”

Lorathin scowled at the butler as Jeeves insinuated having placed poison in his drink.

“How DARE you!” he shouted, throwing the glass at the butler’s feet before lunging at his throat, his lips pulled back in a snarl.

(the day a kiss is considered cybering is the day I quit gaia.

and yes there was allways a couch in the room in addition to the arm chairs!....ehehe....actually I just kinda forgot my description of the room, my bad. Yes its a chair)

Kirin was completely lost in the moment with Agrona, feeling happier than he had ever been in years. After all he was finally kissing his angel. However the fantasy seemed to shatter as he felt her lips start to part from his. For a second his grip tightened, not wanting to let her go, however he reluctantly released her, not about to force himself upon her. He could see the startings of a snarl on her face, and glanced away, obviously his kiss hadn't done much to win her over. When she leaned in and whispered in his ear that she didn't doubt his love his hand went up to gently caress her face. "then why won't you let me try to win yours?" he asked, longing in his eyes even as he stared so coldly at him. He slowly stood up when she told him it was his turn to hold up his end of their bargain. "I understand" he said solemnly, leading her out of the room back towards the front room.

Jeeves didn't flinch nor start when the man shouted at him. "a simple precaution sir. I assure you you'll be given the antidote once you leave, if you've proven to be a civilized guest" he said. When Lorathin lunged at him the distorted human simply passed right through the butler, Jeeve's body breaking up into whisps of smoke where Lorathin passed before quickly reforming. "my my you failed those requirements rather quickly didn't you? I suppose I won't be giving you the antidote after all" he said, not at all surprised that the man would resort to violence, even in a situation where diplomacy would be his only solution for getting out alive. "it seems the poison hasn't diminished your spryness any yet atleast" Such were beasts, they were far to stubborn to try anything other than blindly bashing themselves against their problems. Suddenly the two servants were joined by Kirin and Agrona "Jeeves I told you to stop poisoning guests without my expressed permission" he said, clearly this had happened before. "forgive me master. I knew you were busy enjoying Lady Agrona's company so I didn't want to disturb you" he said with a small bow. "well please give him the antidote. I have enough things to repent without having to worry about being responsible for the deaths of her men" he said, glancing back at Agrona apologetically. Jeeves nodded and walked out of the room, returning with a tray holding a small vial of white liquid "here you go sir, this will stop the poison from....well for lack of a better term, liquifying your internal organs" he said, holding the tray out to Lorathin. "Anyways Jeeves I need your help, there is fortune teller in the city that Agrona needs to find, one under an assumed name. You wouldn't happen to have any leads would you?" he asked. A few seconds later Jeeves was standing infront of Kirin and Agrona holding a small slip of paper "yes indeed I do sir. There are two women in the city who have both prophetic powers as well as names who's language of origin does not match that of their actual descent" he told them, showing the two names (I forgot the name Agrona gave so one of them is the one she mentioned)

“For reasons you would not understand,” she answered his question, the stiff words all but silent as she followed him out the room, her eyes momentarily growing distant as an unwanted memory slithered its way to the front of her mind.

With a frown, she pushed the fleeting recollection back to where it belonged, the faint image of a masculine face lingering a moment longer before fading as the sight of the entrance hall greeted her eyes, replaced instead with the task at hand.

The sound of the butler’s voice reached her ears as they neared, his speech forming the conversation of poison.

___________________

Lorathin growled as he went through Jeeves’ body and quickly spun around to face the butler once more.

“What kind of a ‘precaution’ is poison?” Lorathin snarled as a dull ache played in his stomach.

His attention snapped to Kirin and Agrona as they emerged into the room, his gaze darkening at the sight of Kirin.

“He’s done this before?” he seethed, Agrona’s amused smirk only kindling his anger as a ball of red matching his glowing eye socket formed around his clenched fist.

“I wouldn’t,” Agrona said with an air of carelessness, returning Kirin’s apologetic glance with a slight shrug. “I’m sure it was all of his own doing.”

Lorathin snorted before letting the ball of light fade from existence. Looking to Jeeves as the butler held out the tray in his hand, he snatched the vile from atop it. Pulling out the stopper, Lorathin paused, eyeing it suspiciously.

“If this does me any kind of harm,” he began menacingly, moving so his face was only a couple inches from Jeeves’, “you’ll regret it. I don’t need my organs to remain alive.” With that, he downed the white liquid contained within the vile.

A smile crossed Agrona’s lips as the butler stated he had a lead on her fortuneteller, the news music to her ears.

She leaned forward, reaching toward the slip of paper to tilt it so she could better see the names written upon it.

“Penelope Kingston,” Agrona scoffed, catching sight of Carissa Underlen’s assumed name, a wicked smile passing her lips. “And where might one such as myself find her?”

(actually no its not implied at all. He kissed her and then pulled her on his lap to continue kissing her. A kiss, no matter how many words you use to describe it, is still a kiss. Its an intimate kiss, because it means alot to the character, but that doesn't make it inappropriate. If you can't handle that kind of thing then don't read it, it doesn't affect your character any so there's no obligation to. )

Jeeves gave a small smirk as Lorathin questioned his use of poison as a precaution. "a very effective one" he said curtly. Kirin nodded when Lorathin asked if he's done it before. "indeed, in fact it used to be standard procedure whenever demons visited. I don't like having uncontrolable variables in my house you see. I'd apologize for the inconvenience but....well you did smash my door." he said, secretly proud of Jeeves for taking the initive and poisoning the a*****e for him. When Lorathin threatened Jeeves he stared back at him stoically. "well considering we've just established that you can't even touch me forgive me if I'm less than intimidated" he said, clearly not taking Lorathin seriously, infact he never took him seriously from the beginning. However Jeeves still followed Kirin's orders to the T so the liquid was indeed the antidote for the poision, besides double poisoning was a bit over doing it in his opinion. "Ah yes Penelope Kingston, she resides at a small apartment complex near the poorer side of town. Master Kirin knows the area he should be able to escort you there" Jeeves said, tactfully refusing to give her the address directly so Kirin could work to redeem himself by helping her out. Kirin gave Jeeves a small smirk, he really wouldn't know where he'd be without him. "he's right. I'll show you the way personally" he said going to the door and holding it open for Agrona to leave.

((Sorry for the wait!))

Lorathin glared at Jeeves as the butler danced around giving them the address.

“Very well,” Agrona said, turning her gaze to Kirin as he opened the door. “As it is, I do believe that that was part of the agreement.”

“Agreement?” Lorathin asked with narrowed eyes.

“Surely you didn’t think this information came free,” Agrona spat at him as she waltzed through the door, offering Kirin a nod.

“And what was the price?” Lorathin growled, glaring at Kirin as he passed through the door, his hand moving to catch it in case it should be slammed on him again.

“Nothing that concerns you,” Agrona dismissed the matter as she stopped to wait for Kirin to lead the way.

Kirin nodded and and watched as she waltzed out the door. So graceful despite wearing an angered expression. When Lorathin asked what the price of Kirin's help was Kirin glanced over at Lorathin. "something more valuable than someone as lowly as yourself could hope to muster up" he said before leaving, allowing Lorathin to catch the door. He stepped forward infront of Agrona a few inches, but stayed mostly at her side the whole time. "325 E. Dawnway. Its a bit of a walk, as its on the poorer side of tone, atleast its not a particularly bad day" he said referring to the weather. He nodded with his head towards a back alley and began leading Agrona and her lackey through the backstreets, allready having mapped out the quickest route to the adress in his head.
PostPosted: Sun Dec 30, 2012 6:11 am

Lorathin snorted at Kirin’s words to him, pulling his hood over his face and following Agrona closely as her steps fell in line with Kirin’s.

“And how do we know you’re not leading us into a trap?” he growled, keeping his head bent, his eyes never leaving Kirin. “We have the address now,” he addressed Agrona. “We could get there on our own quicker than his feet can lead!”

“Is that a tinge of fear I hear in your voice, Lorathin?” Agrona mocked, turning her head to glance at him.

“Fear? Of him?” He gestured to Kirin with his rotting hand. “I should think not.”

“Then why is it that you’re questioning my judgment?” she asked darkly. “If you don’t wish to follow him, then by all means leave.”

Lorathin’s steps stopped for a moment, his glower boring into the backs of the two in front of him.

“Fine,” he grumbled, suspicion leaking into his gaze. “I’ll see you at 325 East Dawnway.”

A mass of black appeared at Lorathin’s feet. As licks of the darkness lapped at his heels, his form sunk into the void, the blackness disappearing without a trace as soon as it had engulfed its master.

Agrona gave a relieved sigh.

“Tell me; was that a false address you stated?” she asked almost hopefully.

Kirin rose an eyebrow when Lorathin suggested he might be luring them into a trap. "trust me, as long as Agrona is with you you are more than safe. I have no intention of harming her, quite the opposite" he said, leaving his true meaning intentionally vague. "and the next time you make the assumption that you're faster than I am, I will put a hole through your chest before you can think to take the words back" he said. Kirin was quite literally lightning quick...infact he was lightning period. He smirked to himself when Agrona mocked her subordinate, "its allright, its natural to fear things you are helpless to face" he said, commenting on the difference in power between them. In Kirin's mind atleast Lorathin was just an ant standing before a god. Whether or not that was remotely true didn't really matter. Kirin was an incredibly hard man to humble. When he disappeared Kirin just shook his head. "lets just say people aren't exactly super creative when it comes to naming the streets here. Its called Dawn way because a grope of exorcist, the Dawn Trotters they like to call themselves, live along it and consider it their territory. Most demons or other dark creatures are warned to steer clear when they join the city because.....well lets just say showing up in an inky void of darkness will not be met favorably" he said, commenting on Lorathin's choice of transportation, which would give a way his dark nature immediately, not that he went to great lengths to hide it anyways. "come on, this way" he said, continuing to guide her down to the proper district of the city.

When Lorathin appeared at 325 E. Dawnway, he would see a large building infront of him labled 'Dawn Trotter Head Quarters'. Almost immediately he would fine 4 cross shaped spears pointed at him, and a very unpleasantly surprised exorcist holding onto each one. "you have alot of nerve showing up here unannounced demon. You'll have plenty of time to look back on that decision in hell" the head guard said, sounding the whistle to call the other exorcists. They claimed to fight for good and purity, but deep down they were just a bunch of demon hating racists, and took any excuse they could to attack them. Kirin only tolerated them because most of the time the demon was the guilty party, though he knew they attacked innocents as well when he wasn't looking.
