Prolixity Most of the team looked physically okay, if somewhat tired and unsettled by the lecture. Petra ... was leaning more heavily on Robert than necessary. "Unless anyone has a good reason otherwise," he answered Madison. "But first we're taking a few minutes to rest and check ourselves over. Petra, I know you got hurt in that room - how bad is it?" Madison nodded in response, then looked down to examine her own injuries. Thankfully the cuts that the exploding tile had inflicted on her legs seemed to have been superficial; the sting was gone and there were just dried blood smudges left behind. Ugh, how long had they been out anyway? So not reassuring. She glanced over at Ennea. "Hey, how're you holding up, and stuff?" she asked, a little awkwardly. The pink-haired hunter was apparently the only one of their entire team who hadn't been taken out by that stupid screaming thing. "You didn't get hurt more, did you?"

Jordan was awake! For a moment, Ennéa brightened and even started to give him a shaky smile but then she remembered nearly tripping over his fallen form during her mad dash to the tent. She shivered and looked away.
Everyone was talking big stupid serious business but Ennéa just couldn't make herself care. She detached herself from Maddie and slumped to the ground, pulling her knees to her chest.
There was a small broken piece of wood nearby; Ennéa idly picked it up and began doodling in the mud. She drew her old next door neighbor's cat but it looked more like an aardvark so she drew some ants for it to eat. Only, the ants were really huge so she drew an UFO saucer so they could be alien ants from Mars.
Ennéa?
She ignored Baraz and kept drawing. A couple of buildings would be good, the ants could climb on them like in the monster movies.
In her mind, Baraz sighed helplessly but didn't say anything else.

Harrison was awake. He reappeared, looking...harried. He was clutching both swords again. He found Jerry and Candace, talking and being real close to each other. He didn't pay any attention to it.
"Hey. Guys. Did you hear...you know?"
He looked uneasily towards the house.

Madison frowned slightly, her brow furrowing in concern. The younger Hunter had never just ignored her before - and what the heck was she doing now? Drawing?! She knew Ennea was younger than everyone else on the squad, but that was kind of ridiculous. She wasn't in preschool or something! "Hey. Ennea. Are you hurt?" she repeated, crouching down next to the girl.
Maybe she'd hit her head...

Ennéa jumped slightly when Maddie crouched down next to her. "Oh, hi Maddie." She said, fumbling with her twig. "No, I'm okay." She replied. "Mostly just bruises and scrapes." Ennéa extended her arm to show the other girl and poked at a cut, already scabbing over."See?" She gave Maddie a small forced smile before looking down at her drawing again.
"I'm glad you guys are okay." She said while drawing another ant.

Gale, with a glance back at the rest of the hunters still milling about, squared his shoulders and followed his team out of the tent. He wasn't entirely certain how well the demon would cope with their instructions, but Gale was not about to question anything anymore. So instead he hiked his rucksack further up onto his back, and disappeared after Bartholomew.

Candace blinked, looking very surprised by Jerry's plea to not be hard on herself. How could she not be though? She'd let herself be knocked unconscious so easily. She'd nearly died laughing. She'd..she'd just...! A small frown replaced the pleasant look that'd been on her face and she'd nearly moved away until he brushed her hair back. The action made her tense briefly, eyes widening and cheeks darkening as she..blushed?! Wh-why was she blushing!? She pursed her lips and averted her gaze, looking anywhere but Jerry's face. He was so sweet, so gentle. She didn't deserve any of this attention from him. Damnit. "It's okay." She finally managed, clearing her throat and shaking her head at herself. Candace sighed, smiling and just pretending that she was not blushing like some idiot teenager just from a simple gesture of affection. "It's something we can work on together. Maybe the instructors can even do something about it after the mission." In their...special way.
At the offered deal and paused, chuckling under her breath and shrugging. "Alright. Works for me. Ah..c'mere." Candace grinned now, lifting a hand to twitch her index finger in a 'come closer' gesture before placing it under his chin, leaning in to press her lips against his in a gentle kiss. It would have been more had a familiar voice not interrupted them. She scowled a moment before lightening up and smiling Harrison's way, tilting her head a little.
"Hear what?" She was, in fact, very distracted. Candace hadn't heard much of anything. "Hmm...I guess it's time to go in. Everyone else is." Candace let out a dramatically long, disappointed sigh as she stepped away from Jerry enough to just hold his hand, reaching for Harrison as well to link arms with him. "Let's go, then."

"That's good," Madison said with relief, then paused. It wasn't like she knew Ennea incredibly well or anything, but something definitely seemed off here. "Hey, uh, I see you... you found your weapon, that's good too!" Oh god, she was embarrassed just listening to her own voice. Madison was used to inflicting damage onto other people with her words, not... not this sort of thing. She could have torn down someone in Ennea's position without a second thought, but building them back up again was something else entirely.

Harrison didn't really want to go back to the House, after the needles and the outfits. He got the creepy feeling it was reading his mind, which he didn't like.
Maybe it would read somebody else's mind for a change, and they'd have to battle...giant music notes, or whatever Jerry was afraid of.
He also hoped Jerry and Candace could keep it off the clock, because he didn't feel like saving their asses because they were making goo-goo eyes at each other. There was time to d**k around, and then there was on duty.
Harrison was definitely on duty.

"Baraz? Yeah." Ennéa had unsummoned her axe so she held up her wrist to look at the bracelet. "That was kind of stupid of me, huh? Hard to fight without a weapon!" She giggled, though it sounded strangled. Ennéa rubbed a tiny bit of mud off the slit-pupiled bead. It seemed to look back up at her, as if was an actual physical manifestation of Baraz's eye.
"Do you... um, do you think we'll have to fight again?" She asked Maddie, still not looking at the older hunter. Ennéa instead studied her bracelet, absently spinning it around and around her wrist.

Jerry positively melted, his expression wobbly at best as he cast one last weak glance to the huddle of Phoenixes, waving dopily before drifting after the Unicorns.
He could do this. Yes, he could definitely do this. On Duty or Not, moral was important.

Raising her hand, Clarice almost waved at two groups going off to have fun and adventure in the house, but aborted the move to awkwardly scratch the back of her head instead. They were in game face, no need to distract. And the sad demon looks were just...yeah.
Sighing, she turned back to Jeremy, "You...I get it. Seriously. Information...its power, right? And sometimes its tempting to take your power out and wave it about. Maybe compare it to that of the guy next to you. Play a little I know something you don't know. Especially after you've been made rather powerless yourself. But...seriously? Bad move, guy. Run me 40 laps around the backyard, to work off that frustration, and then get back in the house if you feel up to it."

Wow this was awkward. "Um. Yeah, I think so... we wouldn't have weapons if we, like, weren't supposed to fight, right? But, um, you'll be totally fine! I mean, like, remember back in that room how we totally, like, nearly smashed that zombie chick into the ground, like, twice? You're, like, really tough, so... so it'll be fine!"
She finished with a thumbs-up and the brightest smile in her repertoire. Ohhhhhhhh god.

Ennéa shoulders sagged a little at Maddie's words though she wasn't too surprised by the answer. She continued spinning her bracelet around her wrist. The blue bead was pretty; even in the wan light it seemed to shift colors as she turned it.
"Zombies don't die, they're already dead." She informed Maddie. "The zombie-girl would've gotten up a third time and a fourth and a fifth and..." She shrugged.
"You were really cool though." Ennéa finally glanced up at Maddie then, before returning her attention back to her bracelet. "It was neat seeing Kouki in action."

"We could've taken off her arms and legs and, like, brought her back to Caelius. I bet he could kill her," Madison said with an assured nod. She was quite certain that their leader had every understanding of death, undeath, and everything in between. "Anyway, you were cool too, geez."
She shifted to sit down next to Ennea; the younger Hunter's hair was in disarray, one bun pulled down to reveal a now-messy, curled ponytail that had formerly been tucked up inside the bao. Madison reached for it automatically, combing her fingers through the snarls. She knew how to do hair, if nothing else. "Where's the bun-covery-thingie? Your hair's all messy. Though mine probably sucks right now, haha... um... but yeah, it'll, like, be okay. And stuff. We'll get all put back together and, like, go kick a**. Right?"
