Oh wow, that doesn't sound fun..
I understand the whole pride thing- well, I AM a Leo.
If there was some sort of thing like Dr., but for literature, or phillosphical people, I would do whatever it takes to get that title, because I want people to recognize my smartness that half the time I shove in everyones face. The other half the time I talk about what a waste of sperm and egg I am, and how stupid I am.
We all want to be smart and recognized, especially by our parents, so what your saying makes complete sense. I didn't mind you talkign about that at all. It makes me like you more and feel how human your are. Not know how human you are, but feel it. If that makes sense.
I need to go to sleep cause I have a doubble date tomorrow! And the guys gonna pick me up at 10:30 AM

@ Volupine: Yes, everyone wants to get out of the town they live in. I don't find that hard to do, personally. I just don't think it's hard to move to any other state once you finish your education. It's probably a lot harder for some places, especially the poverty stricken. Good luck! =D
@ Boo: Well, anyone who goes through the stuff can get a PHD. Like, most college professors are called Dr. Somebody.
I used to care more about being recognized, but now not so much. Like, I guess it would be nice, but I just kind of like to float on. Then again, being calm is naturally in my nature. I don't get pumped easily XDD! I get excited on the inside much more than the average person, but I don't show it on the outside. I'm just glad my friends are used to it because they know that, if they tell me something great, I won't look as excited or surprised as I am. I also won't sound like it XDD! "I'm getting married!!!!!111!!!!!" "Oh, that's nice!" LOLOL!
Gewd luck on jor date! I haven't been on a date in uhhhh . . . almost eight years. Hehe . . . Lookit me Ima hermit!

i can totally relate -- im the same way. except im more self-loathing than arrogant.

i've been eh.
i'm not sure really.
i'm so very unmotivated. Oh, what stink. What typically gets you motivated? It doesn't take much more than cookies, a weekend, some free time, or a night of playing games with Alyssa and Larry. The last is the best because those people are wicked awesome. =D
eventually, something equivelant to earth's plates shift
inside me, and i'm just a little better. oh well. meh.
guess what? i got an "a" in algebra.
at first the teacher said i had a "b".
but i confronted her, and it turns out
she used the wrong person's grade
and i just scraped by.
boo~ i'm so happy for you.
it must be great
having a boyfriend.
that's amazing.
so rarely guys are like that anymore.
at least, guys i know.
then again, "guys i know" are all kids still,
farting and laughing about it.

well, i don't know.
i just get real bummed for no reason,
and i just feel to low to fight against it
or whatever. and i can try to ignore it,
but even if i act nicely, i'm still
real sad inside and all. :/
yeah.
a lot of the boys i know are attention whores.
all being obnoxious and ignorant.
i swear, i don't even know where all my
maturity came from. D;
sometimes i kind of wish i was still
ignorant myself and blind against
all that is bad and serious in the world.
and that way i'd probably have more
friends because i'm so damn reserved
and quiet and observant and mature.
