Cottonpaw stared at the ground for a moment before a thought came to her.
"Hey, Whitepaw," she whispered. "You heard what Darkfoot said right? Well...do you...you know, wanna go patrol ThunderClan?" She never thought she would do something like that, but every day in the clan made her a bit more adventerous.

Darkfoot walked out of her den, looking towards the territory. Great, she thought, because one mouse-brained apprentice wandered away, we're sitting here guessing whether ThunderClan's going to attack us or not.

Whitepaw nodded, green eyes narrowing in an adventurous rebel. She forgot about her assigned patrol, white paws itching to race off. "That's sounds great !"

"Shhhhhh, not so loud!" Cottonpaw whispered in fear of getting caught. "Come on, like none of the warriors are even awake, let's just go out the front enterence, no one will ever see." She began to creep her way to the head of the camp.

Desertail woke up from her accidental nap. She spotted Batfur and Skyclaw, but she couldn't see Whitepaw. I wonder why they're still in camp but Whitepaw's not here..."Hey, Batfur! Why is Whitepaw gone, come to think of it, I haven't seen Cottonpaw either...what happened?"

Whitepaw had quickly slipped out of camp with Cottonpaw, sticking to the shadows in fear of her white pelt being seen.

Batfur cringed when Deserttail yelled at him and he looked around camp.
"They...they were here, I was just waiting for Skyclaw to be done talking with Greystar, I...Whitepaw didn't seem very happy with going on patrol, perhaps she decided to hunt by herself.."
Cottonpaw glanced back at Whitepaw and said, "Don't worry too much about your pelt, it blends well with the snow. Now..." she sniffed the air. "which way is ThunderClan...ah! It's this way isn't it?" she gestered with her tail towards the most wooded area of the clan's territory. "Now let's go!"

"Great Starclan!"Deserttail started to breathe harder. "Where could they have gone? We have to go find them, let's check all of the dens first, maybe they just went back to sleep, I'll check the apprentices den and then the elder's. I'll meet you back at the fresh-kill pile if I don't find them." She ran off to the apprentices den without waiting for Batfur to reply.

"True." Whitepaw's reply sounded as she followed after Cottonpaw. "Yup, that's Thunderclan." She replied to the younger apprentice[I think]. She kept forward, every so often giving a jump over a small dip or object.
Heart racing, she was glad to have someone to go on an adventure with. A few moons ago, she found herself wondering from camp alone, taking her own, lone, treks. Blinking green eyes, Whitepaw flanked Cottonpaw as the mate their way towards Thunderclan territory.

Batfur rolled his eyes and searched the clan, but he did not see the two apprentices.
You little furballs, when I catch you, I'll see to it that you never become warriors! he thought, anger washing over him. He pounded back to the fresh-kill pile, eyes narrowed.
Cottonpaw purred quietly as the two friends headed for ThunderClan. When she first became an apprentice she was so shy and worried about doing everything right. Now she was more confident, and didn't worry so much. She happily walked with Whitepaw until they came to the border. Cottonpaw stopped abruptly and gulped.
"That's the border..." she said. "I guess now we gotta cross it."

Whitepaw skidded to a halt next to Cottonpaw, green eyes wide as she, too, gazed across the border. "Yup. Across the border." She meowed blankly, heart racing.
Jaws parted, she scented the air, but really didn't knote anything in particular that she scented. Bunching her muscles, she took a deep breath. "Here we go !"
Thrusting her hind paws back, Whitepaw leaped to the other side of the border. Entering Thunderclan territory.

Dawnflower slowly opened her eyes, and blinked as the morning sunlight came into the nursery. She looked down to her stomach to see her kits. But Copperkit wasn't there. Carefully, without waking her daughter, she got up and looked around. "Copperkit," she hissed, her mew panic stricken. one song, before I go...

"They're not here?! Why aren't they here?! They should be here! All of the warriors are in camp!" Panic stricken, Deserttail raced out of camp calling behind her, "Batfur, we need to find them!"

Cottonpaw watched Whitepaw cross the border with her eyes wide. She was afraid that a ThunderClan patrol would catch her, but the weather might keep them in camp. Cottonpaw looked around her and whispered, "Where do we go now? I don't know anything about ThunderClan territory."
Batfur growled and turned towards the enterence to camp, then sighed and looked back. he didn't want to leave in case they came ack, but the bst thing to do wouldbe to go look for them. He angerly ran to Deserttail and growled, "Shouldn't we get more warriors to help look for them?"
