No lie. we should pool our resources and buy a group art pic. If we all donate like a thousand or so, we might be able to get enough to pay someone to do it.

Random Note:

I was just reading some older pages of the Cantina, where I declared then-Lieutenant DA insane because of Cows!

I just want to know how Cale can get a jedi to go darkside on him?
PostPosted: Sun Sep 04, 2005 12:59 pm

Not darkside. just pissed enough to make a mistake.
The average Jedi in training suffers from a condition commonly found in training martial artists: they go looking for an excuse to use their skills on someone and believe that they can take on about any non practicioner of their discipline. an often fatal flaw. Diss them enough and they will seek to prove their talents on you. trouble is, they have nowhere near the training and discipline of a true warrior and so are blind to the fact their opponent can be manipulating them.

at least I didn't kill the dumb moron, so the jedi order can thank me later for that. though I suspect I might run into that particular jedi again someday.

True, but often people who want to use their skills and find an excuse to use them often are so arrogant that they believe they CAN take on anyeone.

However, the Jedi don't believe in making the first move. Even Vader let most people attack him first, though often, the skittishness of stormtroopers being present gave a provoking response.

But why would a jedi go saying "No, to use my exceptional skills on you?" Somehow, I don't even see Vader as being that pompous.

probably more than that, since only jedi can make them, and finding someone to just turn one over is nigh impossible.

I'm sure you could probably pull a good 50k pricetag on a lightsaber. If it was a specific jedi's lightsaber, such as Neb's, it would probably go close to abou 750k.

remember the mindset of the average NJO jedi is more militant and thus more agressive. also note that not all jedi are the same.
The fact that I was shooting at him also might have kept him provoked.

Somehow, even with the militant NJO, i dont' think anyone would be that confident... the only people that could be would be padawans anyway. I mean, a knight must pass the tests, which often make sure you don't get too cocky or confident.

So, where would his mentor be then?
