...And there we go. Quick, efficient, and to the point.

Damn, it's good to be home.

Mmm... well if they went around, the city wouldn't be occupied, that's for sure. But from what I've gathered, they're only going to hook up with the undead hordes anyways. That said, someone figured this city would be an excellent supply and defensive position (what with the mountainous terrain and all), which is a sound tactical strategy anyways.

That said, if he doesn't stop them here, we're all ********: Damn, I need to post in that city.

But what you know OOC, the characters IC don't. Got to pry that knowledge out of someone and all that.

But either way, "I want to see a siege" is not a valid counter to "please turn down the douchebaggery".

In the same way you can choose to ignore someone's character if they're being a d**k, you can choose to ignore an imaginary army if it's being a d**k. It's as simple as that.

...or it would be that simple, but a thread is not a character. Thusly, you can't just say "my character isn't involved". But douchebaggery knows not the consequences of its actions.

Thusly... give a good reason for why that army has to go through the city and cause so much unwanted s**t for the people in that thread. A good reason. A reason that makes all the headaches, arguments, and "this s**t isn't fun anymore" complaints seem trivial in comparison.

A good reason.

Yup.

Which is what makes the plan all the more interesting. Now all I have to do is get the information that I sent my lil' mole in to dig for... or the delay is going to be huge for any backup to come when s**t goes down.

EDIT: And once again, Jello makes a valid point. I'm going to post or something now to advance the contstruction project in Lament. Just because someone's a'knockin' doesn't mean that the work does not keep going. Besides, it's been enough of a time lock anyways- Phase One, along with the RI offices in the Inner City, is done.

Be lazy and just FIRE ALL CANNONS.

And then I will laugh. Because it would be funny.

If we're already getting complaints about it and the army hasn't even reached the city yet, it's pretty clear that nobody wants to deal with that s**t other than the person in charge of that army. edit: oh, and the people that just have a grudge against Ryugi

It's not fun if you're the kid in dodgeball crying and saying "cut it out guys, really, I'm already out, geeze" while 6 other kids just peg you repeatedly.

Mmm... the fact is though that Lament is going to get some resistance later if they just pass through, and with double the size of the attacking force. It's kind of a catch 22 right now.

So when do the guild wide events happen that are supposed to affect the lives of all the characters? At least those that aren't hermits. Civil War was supposed to see the deaths of millions.

Naturally with all the hype this has gotten a similar scope of scale is imaginable.

Also I'm not in a position to declare a siege of any city so me saying I'd like to see one is a moot point.

As for complaints, well perhaps the whole thing was gone about wrong and a comity should have been made to set up a story line of sorts that people could work within.

Despite the mistakes that have been made I'm in agreement with X at the root of things. If something is supposed to alter the history of the guild in a meaningful way then people are going to have to play along.

ryugi's the only one saying "no." unless you got pms or i need to do some backreading, that's all there was. i understand what you just said [and so i concede that we need to maintain a fun environment] so okay.

it totally looks like i hate ryugi. i'll laugh at him, but i'm civil and will converse with him as such if we... had to talk or something. i'm also completely uninterested in watching a siege on his city. i just don't like him closing his sandbox because someone else wants to play in it.

There is no 'guild wide event'. There is just a large story arc thats just starting to get into motion.
PostPosted: Sat Jun 16, 2007 11:52 pm

So what is the scope of this large story so I can avoid further error in describing a story arc.

So how does any of that play into what I asked?

Or even into Civil War for that matter?

Or into this zombie thing in Barton Town (which is in the Southern section, not the Northern, which makes me wonder why anyone said that the army was going to join up with the undead army) which is, as I understand it, the current staff-sponsored 'event' that's happening?

Answer me these questions three... ere I just wait for the person running the army to answer them.

And just when I came back from my hiatus. Good timing.

As far as I can tell for now, the zombie army in Barton has since retreated. I don't know if that's true or not. And Civil War is probably still under construction, beneath all of what's going on.

I just think the whole going to the wasteland to join forces if hilarious. Theres no food or resources there, so that the hell is an army going to do?
